ROMAN CATHOLIC "DEFENDERS OF CHILDREN" GATHER

CAN I FIRST OF ALL MAKE MY POSITION ON ABORTION CRYSTAL CLEAR:

1. I AM PRIMARILY ANTI-ABORTION AND PRO-LIFE.

2. I BELIEVE THAT IN VERY RARE CIRCUMSTANCES - SUCH AS A STARK CHOICE BETWEEN THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER AND THE LIFE OF THE CHILD - A TERMINATION CAN BE MORALLY JUSTIFIED.

3. IN THOSE RARE CASES THE TERMINATION IS A TRAGEDY AND CANNOT BE DESCRIBED AS A "GOOD" BUT RATHER AS "THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS."

4. I BELIEVE THAT ENDA KENNY AND THE IRISH GOVERNMENT ARE SIMPLY BRINGING IRISH LAW INTO LINE WITH GOOD LEGISLATIVE PRACTICE IN ORDER TO GIVE THE MEDICAL PROFESSION PROPER GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW  IN GENERAL AND IN RARE DIFFICULT CASES.

5. I BELIEVE THAT THE IRISH CATHOLIC BISHOPS AND THE ROMAN CHURCH IN GENERAL HAVE NO MORAL CREDIBILITY LEFT TO PONTIFICATE ON CHILD PROTECTION AFTER DECADES OF MISHANDLING OF CLERICAL SEXUAL ABUSE CASES.

6. THE ROMAN CATHOLIC MESSAGE SEEMS TO BE - PROTECT THE CHILD IN THE WOMB BUT TO HELL WITH THE CHILD AND ITS RIGHTS AFTER IT LEAVES THE WOMB.

7. THIS WEEK'S REVELATIONS THAT CARDINAL DOLAN OF NEW YORK MOVED $57 MILLION DOLLARS FROM HIS FORMER DIOCESE TO A CEMETERY FUND TO PREVENT VICTIMS OF ABUSE GETTING COMPENSATION THAT WAS THEIR RIGHT SHOWS EXACTLY WHAT THE ROMANS REALLY THINK ABOUT CHILDREN AND THEIR RIGHTS AND WELFARE.

THE TWO ARCHBISHOPS MARTIN:

EAMONN MARTIN

DIARMUID MARTIN

THE TWO ARCHBISHOPS MARTIN - DUBLIN AND ARMAGH HELD A MASS IN DUBLIN AT THE WEEKEND TO SEND THE 35,000 SO CALLED PRO LIFE CATHOLICS ON THE MARCH.

DIARMUID MARTIN SPOKE AT THE MASS AND SAID THE BISHOPS WERE ACTING OUT OF "LOVING CONCERN" FOR CHILDREN.

WHERE WERE THE BISHOPS "LOVING CONCERN" FOR THE VICTIMS OF BRENDAN SMYTH AND ALL THE OTHER PRIEST ABUSERS WHEN OVER THE YEARS THE BISHOPS WOULD NOT LISTEN TO THE CHILDREN, BELIEVE THEM, SACK THE ABUSING PRIESTS, AND GENEROUSLY COMPENSATE VICTIMS.

AS I SAY THE ROMAN CATHOLIC BISHOPS "LOVING CONCERN" SEEMS TO BE RESERVED TO FETUSES BUT NOT TO CHILDREN WHO ARE BORN ALIVE.

WHAT IS THIS WEIRD, TWISTED, PSYCHOTIC AND SICK PREOCCUPATION ROMAN BISHOPS AND THEIR CHURCH HAVE WITH EGGS, SPERM, TUBES, IMPLANTATIONS AND FETUSES?

I SAY: "A FEW MORE FLOWERS ON THE PATHWAY OF LIFE - AND FEWER ON THE GRAVES AT THE END OF THE STRIFE".

CARDINAL BURKE (GOD HELP US!)

CARDINAL BURKE (GOD HELP US!)

I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT THE CORK PEOPLE HAD SOME SENSE. WHO DID THEY FLY IN THIS WEEK TO OPPOSE ENDA KENNY ON THE ABORTION LEGISLATION. THEY FLEW IN CARDINAL RAYMOND CROSS DRESSING BURKE OF THE VATICAN - THE MAN WHO I LIKES TO DRESS UP AS A MEDIEVAL PRINCE WITH MULTI-COLOURED SHOES, MULTI-COLOURED LEGGINGS, MULTI-COLOURED GLOVES, A 30 FOOT ERMINE (VERMIN) AND RED TRAIN BEHIND HIM ETC. IT COSTS $38,000 TO DRESS HIM FOR A MASS!

HE FLEW IN TO CONDEMN ENDA KENNY AND THE GOVERNMENT IN FOTA IN CORK. HE CLAIMS THAT WE IN IRELAND ARE NOW AN "EVIL SOCIETY".

HE IS THE SENIOR CARDINAL IN THE VATICAN. HAS HE NOT GOT ENOUGH TO DO SORTING OUT THE CORRUPT VATICAN BANK? HAS HE NOT GOT ENOUGH TO DO SORTING OUT THE WORLD WIDE SEXUAL ABUSE CRISIS? HAS HE NOT GOT ENOUGH TO DO SORTING OUT WHAT POPE FRANCIS CALLS THE "GAY LOBBY" IN THE VATICAN? HAS HE NOT GOT ENOUGH TO DO ASKING CARDINAL DOLAN OF NEW YORK ABOUT THE $57 MILLION HE MOVED AROUND? HAS HE NOT GOT ENOUGH TO DOING LAUNCHING AN ENQUIRY INTO SCOTALND'S CARDINAL KEITH O'BRIEN? HAS HE NOT GOT ENOUGH TO DO PLANNING JOHN PAUL 11'S CANONIZATION BASH?

CAN THE SENIOR CARDINAL FROM THE VATICAN REALLY AFFORD TO CALL ANY OTHER PLACE IN THE WORLD A REPOSITORY OF EVIL?

"THERE ARE NONE SO BLIND AS THOSE WHO DO NOT WISH TO SEE"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MEET THE REST OF THE ROMAN TEAM:

ALL THOSE BELOW WERE ATTACKING ENDA KENNA AND THE IRISH GOVERNMENT THIS WEEKEND:

DANA

CHARLIE BROWN (ONE OF MRS BROWN'S BOYS?)

35,000 SO CALLED "PRO-LIFERS" FROM NORTH AND SOUTH APPARENTLY MARCHED ON SATURDAY IN DUBLIN. NOTICE THE BANNER PIC AGAIN - A FOETUS.

IF THERE WERE 35,000 PEOPLE THERE THAT REPRESENTS 7% OF THE POPULATION OF THE ISLAND.

THAT MEANS THAT 93% OF THE ISLAND'S POPULATION WAS NOT THERE.

I REST MY CASE.

  1. Bishop Pat,

Thank you for talking some sense on this very difficult topic.

I am a catholic mother of 5 and go to Mass and Holy Communion everyday.

If I had to choose between my own life and the life of my unborn baby I would, with a broken heart, choose to stay alive to look after my five living children.

I wish these celibate men, with no experience of marriage and parenting would stop lecturing me Sunday after Sunday about thinks they have only read about in books.

    Majella - Co. Clare.

I agree with all you said.

  2. Majella - shame on you agreeing with the heretic Buckley.

You views make you pro-choice and anti-life.

If I was your priest you would be given a swift rejection at the altar rails.

    Pro-abortionists are automatically excommunicated.

I dare you to convey your views to you parish priest.

  3. I love the arrogance of the TRUE BELIEVER, I presume you have a sincere heart! Present yourself to your PARISH PRIEST - are you joking?? I am pro-life and I will proclaim my view theologically anywhere to anyone. However, if you are going to threaten people with a POWER that the PP no longer has (THANK GOD FOR THE SAKE OF YOUNG CHILDREN & WOMEN) then you have lost the debate as of right! Come on, present a debate TRUE BELIEVER!! Honestly, your lack of ETHICAL understanding is TRAGIC, but I suppose if your PP told you that you are great then you are .......! It is 2013 - we are educated, get REAL!

  4. The above response to TRUE BELIEVER smacks of intellectual arrogance. You do not need to be a theologian to understand the Commandment: THOU SHALL NOT KILL.

Jesus Christ gave St Peter, the first Pope, the power to bind and unbind. That power is retained by Pope Francis and the bishops in communion with him.

The Church has the right, universally and locally to excommunicate.

At a recent clergy conference in my diocese there was a discussion about excommunicating those supporting abortion. We await further guidance from the Bishops.

As an ordinary parish priest I would firstly and quietly request Majella not to approach me for communion. If she persisted in her efforts I would then refuse her communion in public.

  5. Dear PP I apologise if I am in some sense coming across as arrogant in any regard - this is not my intention. However, the threat of presentation to a PP for Majella, the thinking mother - well it is indeed nauseating to me as it is indeed to any ethical thinker! I agree with your understanding on the commandment - however, you are very simplistic in your 'absolute' application! What do I mean? Well I am sure you were taught MORAL THEOLOGY and as such understand that modern science and developments challenge that theological application. Is situation ethics an alright position to take? DO other CHRISTIAN CHURCHES teach us anything about how to present ethical issues in the modern world without wielding the sword? Anyway, it is not my intention to have a debate about bio-ethics, but we Christians must present ourselves 'properly' on all issues.

As for the POPE, Bishops & Excommunication!! Dear God SPARE us ALL! You quote Sacred Scripture and apply it to Pope Francis as if he embodies the POWER to Bind etc!! Again how more simplistic can one theologically get - if I may without being arrogant! It is an accepted point that the Roman Catholic Church (ELEMENT) cannot be identified simply and wholly with primitive Christianity (APOSTLES RELATIONSHIP WITH XT), nor even the Gospel of Christ, in the same way that the great oak cannot be identifeid with the tiny acorn (see Karl Adam). In the concluding his letter to the Romans, Paul begins with 'our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church', speaks of those who 'work' to spread the good news, and greets twenty-six people, twenty-four of them by name. As much as any passage in SACRED SCRIPTURE including your own singular quote, Romans raisies the question: was the early Church meant to be a completely EGALITARIAN community, free from any kind of subordination to office-holders and higherarchical authorities? I hold the thesis that the first century Church was governed by the HOLY SPIRIT and flourished without supervisory authorities or official establishments like PP's to be 'presented to' and refused 'EUCHARIST'! I suggest that we TRUST the HOLY SPIRIT again and return to the first century FLOURISH!

    1. I believe that you are intellectually arrogant because you think your views are superior to the Magisterium - the teaching church - the bishops who are the successors of the apostles by Divine Right. You are one person - with your own opinions - and with no authority behind you.

The bishops and we their priests are the Divinely appointed custodians of the Eucharist. As Jeusus said you do not give your bread to the house dogs.

If you have studied theology you will know that the priest in confession is also the "judex" - the judge.

These roles come from Christ's power given to Peter and his successors.

The Catholic Church in communion with the Bishop of Rome is the TRUE CHURCH.

If your views can be described as theology at all they must be honesty described as PROTESTANT THEOLOGY.

Why don't you do the honourable thing and find yourself a new church?

  6. with regard to last comment I have never heard such pseudo intellectual crap before. The magiserium,Divine right and this wonderful concept of Apostolic succesion being the be all and end all.Do you not realise that through apostolic sucession Christs power,as you put itwas handed down to handed down to rodrigo borgia,a shinning pillar of as you call it the one true faith.I think you need torealise that God is not a cathiloc. As for your advice to go find a new church, looking at the numbers attending mass it would seem people have figured that one out for themselves.may I suggest you forget about theology and pseudo intellectual fairytales and re read thegospels.Mike

    1. In the sense that God founded the Catholic Faith - God is a Catholic.

Are you suggesting that He is a Muslim or Buddhist :-)

  7. I feel like I have been presented to the PP and have had my hands hit!! Once again there is NO THEOLOGICAL THOUGHT in your response, nothing but recourse to - 'I AM RIGHT', 'I AM in the TRUE CHURCH' - really, is that your defence for the 'ROMAN ELEMENT' of 'OUR CATHOLIC FAITH'!! Your narrow understanding of 'Apostolicity' is indeed scary, but simple - to coin a phrase, you are a 'theological plumber', you have a vision of the pipeline theory that is so irrational and unacceptable that it is part of the 'Roman' subculture of our CATHOLIC FAITH!

'Protestant Theology' - I presume for the benefit of anyone from this worthy and rich tradition you mean what you say with the greatest of RESPECT!

However, let me address some of your or lack of THEOLOGY! You are part of the OLD IRELAND who have retreated into the 'Catholic Culture' trench and I would go one step further and add you to the deepest trench, a trench I call 'Catholic subculture'! Just like the 19th century you see your role beyond that of Church (pastoral) to being that of countercultural (JPII)! You like JPII seem to be allarmed by liberalism on the Irish scene (Europe has been here for a while), and you like JPII see it as a threat to your main concern in life - the sacred and religion, tradition and authority! In response you are turning to the Middle Ages and are trying to promote the 'Christian civilisation' model (although you are in the deeper trench of sunbculture 'Catholic civilisation' model)! You are actually that deep that you are singing with Leo XIII's 1st encyclical (On the Evils Affecting Modern Society) - you do not mind the English I hope, I prefer Latin myself!! In this he regretted that modern society had rejected "the holy and venerable authority of the Church, which in God's name rules mankind"(51). I am only but mentioning a view of his thoughts on this regard. His successors including Pius X and Pius XI, endorsed this kind of thinking and writing! You are doing the same! From these writings the 'ROMAN CURIA' energetically established its own subculture of POWER over all national Churches - you are endorsing this view (of COURSE not in line with VAT II)! What was the result of this thinking and power grabling - the only agency to deal with any national issue was the PAPACY. THEN came the centralisation of Catholic LIFE on the ROMAN LIFE, POWER & CONTROL! From this period in HISTORY ROME enjoys not only oversight but hands-on control of teaching & discipline hence Catholic identity became 'ROMAN'! I reject this THINKING, POWER & CONTROL as a CATHOLIC - NOT 'ROMAN CATHOLIC'and all of its abuse!

Are you now in response to me constructing a new 'Syllabus of Errors', interesting to note that out of the 80 errors condemned was the directive "that the Roman Pontiff (NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PETRINE MINISTRY - BUT YOUR SUBCULTURE, YOU PEOPLE STILL LIVE WITH THESE TERMS OF POWER)can and should reconcile himself with progress, with liberalism, and with modern civilisation"!

I suggest to you; as a PP with views like above you are leading once again ordinary CATHOLICS down the road of ISOLATION on behalf of the 'ROMAN' element! You are breeding this isolation through your views which are and can only lead to abuse of power and ecclesial negativity, rendering the 'CATHOLIC FAITH' and THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST less and less fruitful while the 'ROMAN' element fights for survival!

Thank God signifincant people, like Francis, Bishop of Rome, (& OTHERS) who are reading the signs, seeing the fruits - as well as the millions of CATHOLICS who are screaming at the 'ROMAN ELEMENT & THEIR HISTRICAL ABUSE OF POWER' are becoming instrumental in writing a NEW agenda, an agenda recorded in Vat II but never became part of internal DNA, COME HOLY SPIRT!

  8. Sir, I see you have shortage of words.

But you know as well as I do that:

YOU CAN FOLLOW YOUR CONSCIENCE TO HEAVEN OR HELL

At least I have the assurance that if I follow the shepherds Christ commissioned I will be going where Christ wanted me to go.

I can see you are brainwashed - probably by Buckley.

In the end of the day it is your eternal destiny that should matter to you.

  9. 'Brainwashing' - very simple level of thinking!! No I got that in ROME!!!

  10. In response to is God a Muslim, why not maybe and hopefully God embraces all faiths and does not engage in the petty theological debates you are fond of.I do not remember Jesus mentioning the Roman Cathoilic church,it is simply something you have hijacked to give creedance to yourviews and teachings that bear no resemblance to the message of JesusOne other thing why is thatyou and your ilk who occupy the right of the high moral ground never give your namesIf you are a defender of the one true faith then why not stand up and be counted,if you cant do that then stop wasting everybodys time

  11. Dear Friend, I am not sure if I should respond or the PP should respond? First of all, you speak as if God is a Christian from our perspective - an degree of understanding the concept of the Trinty might help. As for God being a Muslim, is Islam a unified body of belief?? Or perhaps which type of Muslim he is you could enlighten me, Sunni, Shia, Wahhabi or even Sufi?

As for theological debate being petty - I was even considering the fact that there was actually little or NO theology being discussed just pure polemicism! However, since you bring it up, Theological debate is anything but petty as you are aware from the 'MUSLIM' world!

As for the rest, I am a convinced follower of Jesus Christ as I presume is the PP. Our debate, if we are having one, is difficult given the fact that one is convinced of HIS rightness already. Musch like the 'MUSLIM' situation I would think. Please enlighten me about that aspect as I am not expert in that area??

    ReplyDelete
  12. Re above first of all I would like if PP would respond but to deal with your pionts,The notion of g od as a catholic was one put foreward by PP,you mention Muslims and the various factions within that faith body, and if God were a muslim which would he be?Well thereare about 11 or so mainstream churches(not taking into account the rainbow of independents who claim valid apostolic succesion) Anglican,Orthox and not forgeting the Coptic churches, many of these are in communion with Rome,so which kind of catholic would God be?As for petty theology do you really think God worries about such things or is he pherhaps more concerned with the fact that half our planet is starving to death on a daily basis.my piont was that PP uses his theology in a petty way in order to refuse somebody like Majella Holy Communion,Nodoubt he will say that he is merely doing what he is told,at least if he came out and said that it would be more honest

    ReplyDelete
  13. I totally agree with you - Theological is a credible area of academic study and as such has a universal dregree of rigour! The PP is using in it a petty way, a pityful 'apologetic' way that reduces theological debate to something to be laughed at. In fairness there was NO theology in the debate - it was typical of the person struggling in Theology or Philosophy class but tries to say something smart, everyone feels sorry for them and politely ignores them with respect!

As for others being in COMMUNION with Rome - ROME is in COMMUNION with them, ROME, the Petrine Ministry is not the 'locus' of communion, just take a look at the discussions around 'UNIATISM'.

On a pastoral level, God help people who try to think theologically, the PP has a higher degree because he follows the commissioned ones!! He should tell the WCC to inform their members that they are all wrong and that HE is right!

Thank God I am free from these people!
