THE PRIEST WHO TRIED TO REFUSE ME COMMUNION!

THE PRIEST WHO TRIED TO REFUSE ME HOLY COMMUNION!

FATHER EDDIE MC GEE

THE PRIEST PICTURED ABOVE - FATHER EDDIE MC GEE - THE PRESS OFFICER FOR THE DIOCESE OF DOWN AND CONNOR ONCE TRIED TO REFUSE ME HOLY COMMUNION!

IT HAPPENED AT THE PARISH CHURCH IN LARNE IN COUNTY ANTRIM WHERE I LIVE. A FUNERAL MASS WAS BEING HELD FOR THE DECEASED CURATE OF LARNE - A VERY YOUNG PRIEST CALLED FATHER BRIAN MC NULTY.

POOR FATHER BRIAN, A VERY YOUNG PRIEST, HAD A VERY SERIOUS HEART CONDITION AND HE DIED ON THE OPERATING TABLE WHILE UNDERGOING SURGERY.

HE HAD BEEN VERY KIND TO ME WHEN HE WAS IN LARNE AND OF COURSE i WANTED TO PAY MY RESPECTS BY ATTENDING HIS FUNERAL MASS.

THE MASS WAS CELEBRATED BY THE THEN BISHOP - PADDY WALSH.

PADDY WALSH

FATHER EDDIE MC GEE WAS ASSISTING BISHOP WALSH.

AT COMMUNION TIME I WENT UP TO RECEIVE HOLY COMMUNION AND FATHER MC GEE RAISED HIS HANDS AS IF TO GIVE ME A BLESSING RATHER THAN GIVE ME COMMUNION.

I CAUGHT HIS ARM IN MID AIR AND SAID TO HIM: "SONNY, I TAKE COMMUNION - NOT BLESSINGS". I THEN PUT MY HAND INTO THE CIBORIUM AND HELPED MYSELF TO THE BODY OF CHRIST.

AFTER THE MASS I SPOKE TO BISHOP WALSH AT THE PARISH PRIEST'S HOUSE AND TOLD HIM THAT IF ANY PRIEST EVER TRIED TO DO THAT TO ME AGAIN - THE PRIEST - ME - AND THE SACRED HOSTS WOULD BE ALL OVER THE FLOOR.

WALSH REPLIED: "THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN"

THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST IS CHRIST'S GIFT TO US - HIS CHURCH.

PRIESTS, BISHOP AND POPES DO NOT "OWN" THE BODY OF CHRIST.

CHRIST WILL ALWAYS REFUSE TO BE A "PRISONER OF THE TABERNACLE"

ALL OF US ARE SINNERS. ALL US PRIESTS ARE SINNERS. SOMETIMES PRIESTS ARE GREATER SINNERS THAN ANYONE ELSE.

HOW CAN ONE "SINNER" HAVE THE PRIDE OR ARROGANCE TO REFUSE ANOTHER "SINNER" THE EUCHARIST OR THE SACRAMENTS.

EVEN THIS WEEK POPE FRANCIS SAID IT WAS NOT HIS ROLE TO JUDGE PEOPLE.
POPE FRANCIS

I HOPE THAT THE WORLD'S PRIESTS AND BISHOPS WERE LISTENING TO HIM.

I HOPE EDDIE MC GEE WAS LISTENING TOO.

  2. If only there were more people like you Pat in the Catholic Church..

To me there are too many judges and not enough honest sinners, not enough compassion, honesty, self doubt.

    Too much arrogance, weakness, cowardice.

    Jesus wept? Jesus weeps!

After the last two, I have hope for Francis, but then, could he be any worse if he tried? Doubt it.

Keep being a rare honest thorn against the overwhelming sea of evil supported by the blind following sheep too afraid to question, think, challenge...

  4. Fr Edward McGee is a very good, a very holy and very humble man and priest. I am really disappointed at the manner of this blog. It is a personally attack on the man. Why are you always attacking our good priests who are trying to do as the church tells them. Fr McGee is a lovely, compassionate man, I wish you would remove this nonsense about - I am crying as I write this. Stop hurting the holy anointed Bishop, help them not hurt them.

    1. I think you need to keep your tears for Father Brendan Smyth' victims.
      For Father Danny Curran' victims.
      For Father James Donaghy's victims.
For the women of The Magdelene Laundry.
For all the children that Cardinal Sean Brady interviewed and swore to silence.
For the victims abused at Portglenone Monastery.
For the victims in the Diocese of Derry.

The proud, arrogant and judgmental clerics don' t need your tears.
They laugh at you behind your back.
You are nothing more than a turkey voting for Christmas.

  5. The proper way to describe you, Mr Buckley, is not 'rebel', or 'maverick' - but APOSTATE former priest.

  6. Re comment above and the good priests doing what the church tells them to do : this is what + Pat is trying to point out,the call to ministry is not about doing what your told,it is about doing the right thing and being a visible witness to Jesus and his message.I don't think + Pat is attacking I think he is merely showing us a church and a priesthood that has lost its way and has lost touch with people,in fairness to + Pat he is always the first to stand up for and praise a good priest and to attach labels such as rebel etc is far too simplistic and does not further open discussion ad debate,re: the comment that + Pat is a MR,you need to read your cannon law my friend, attack the message, not the messenger!Mike

  7. I really like the message from Mike. Pat holds the fullness of Priesthood. It is well known, perhaps not legally in 'canon law' - but canon law is not Scripture, it is not Tradition, it is evil and even the conservative Catholics like McAleese and O'Loan are calling for its removel. Why? Due to its evil usage and its malpractice to form and create shadows in which creatures allergic to the light of truth can crawl and hide.

Who are these creatures? Open your eyes and ears if you do not know.

Anyone know when the files up North will be opened up?

  8. I fell in love with Fr McGee in St Mary's when I was training as a teacher. He was kind, softly spoken and a gentle man. All the things one looks for in a husband. He had a lovely bum lol! Love ya.

    1. Its not unusual for students to get crushes on their teachers.

He was not kind to me when he attempted to refuse me Holy Communion :-(

I have not seen Father McGee's bum - at least not yet.

I don't even know if he likes men or women.

But I'm glad you got some pleasure from looking at him.

He has put on some weight lately.

  9. When I arrived in the UK back at the end of 1999 as green as a prepacked shamrock I thought I would have a stab at being a Driving Instructor. I required a reference & I contacted a younger colleague of mine Fr Kevin Fallon who was curate in Castlerea Parish where I grew up. He refused. I explained this had nothing to do with internal forum church business. Kevin still refused. I also contacted the then Sr Pamela Culkin who was both colleague and friend of mine during my time in Sligo. She also refused the reference & under my breath I thought hypocrite. To get back to Communion-under the famous Canon Law rules no one may be refused the Sacrament at the rails. I will shortly, no doubt be attending the funeral of a recently deceased neighbour. I believe I will not be going up to receive because I do not want to create hastle should the local priest Fr Dailey-affectionaly know as 2spoons Dailey refuse-Sean
