PRIEST WITH BIG WILLY REFUSES ABORTION TO WOMEN IN DANGER OF DEATH
FATHER KEVIN DORAN (LEFT) WITH ARCHBISHOP DIARMUID MARTIN |
YESTERDAY FATHER KEVIN WHO SITS ON THE BOARD OF DUBLIN'S MATER HOSPITAL SAID THAT OFFERING ABORTION TO WOMEN IN DANGER OF DEATH WOULD GO AGAINST THE CATHOLIC ETHOS OF THE HOSPITAL!
HOW DO I KNOW THAT FATHER DORAN HAS A BIG WILLY? I SAW HIS WILLY ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS WE WE PLAYED SQUASH TOGETHER. HE WAS HUNG LIKE AN ELEPHANT.
KEVIN DORAN AND I STARTED SEMINARY TOGETHER IN 1970. I WAS 18 AND HE WAS AN IMMATURE 17 YEARS OLD.
NOW 43 YEARS LATER - AND OBVIOUSLY AS IMMATURE AS EVER - THE MAN WHO SAYS HE FINDS "CELIBACY A JOY" IS SAYING THAT IF A PREGNANT WOMAN IN THE MATER HOSPITAL DUBLIN IS DYING THE HOSPITAL DOES NOT WANT TO GIVE HER A TERMINATION TO SAVE HER LIFE.
FURTHERMORE - EVEN THOUGH THE MATER HOSPITAL IS 100% PAID FOR BY THE IRISH TAX PAYER AND GOVERNMENT - HE BELIEVES THAT HIS HOSPITAL SHOULD HAVE ITS SO CALLED "CATHOLIC ETHOS" RESPECTED!
I AM NOT "PRO-ABORTION". I DO NOT LIKE ABORTION AT ALL. 99% OF THE TIME ABORTION IS AN EVIL. 1% OF THE TIME IT IS "THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS".
IF A WOMAN IS IN DANGER OF DEATH - AND THE ONLY WAY TO SAVE HER LIFE IS TO PERFORM A TERMINATION THEN THAT IS THE THING TO DO. THE RESULTING DEATH OF THE BABY IS A TRAGEDY. BUT IT IS A LESSER TRAGEDY THAN THE DEATH OF THE MOTHER.
IF THE MATER HOSPITAL WANTS A 100% ROMAN CATHOLIC ETHOS THEN THEN THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH SHOULD PAY 100% OF THE COSTS OF RUNNING THE HOSPITAL.
IT SHOULD BECOME A PRIVATE HOSPITAL AND HAVE ITS PUBLIC HOSPITAL STATUS AND FUNDING REMOVED.
THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IN IRELAND WANTS IT'S CAKE AND WANTS TO EAT IT AT THE SAME TIME.
IT WANTS HOSPITALS THAT ARE 100% ROMAN CATHOLIC WITH 100% STATE FUNDING.
KEVIN DORAN IS MAKING ALL THE RIGHT ROMAN CATHOLIC NOISES.
HE LOVES CELIBACY !
HE DEFENDS THE RC TEACHINGS ON TELEVISION.
HE WAS THE SECRETARY OF THE 2012 INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS IN DUBLIN.
HE WAS IN CHARGE OF VOCATIONS IN DUBLIN.
HE IS NOW THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE MOST POSH PARISH IN DUBLIN - DONNYBROOK, DUBLIN 4 - WHERE DUBLIN'S RICH AND POWERFUL LIVE.
BUT IF A POOR WOMAN FROM ONE OF DUBLIN'S MANY POOR AREAS ENDS UP IN HIS PRECIOUS ROMAN CATHOLIC HOSPITALS AND NEEDS HER LIFE SAVED BY A TERMINATION KEVIN DORAN WILL TELL HER SHE WILL HAVE TO FIND A NON CATHOLIC HOSPITAL OR GET THE FERRY TO ENGLAND.
I THINK KEVIN IS AFTER A BISHOP MITRE - SO HE IS SAYING WHAT HIS CATHOLIC PUPPET MASTERS LIKE TO HEAR.
MAYBE IT IS SUITABLE THAT A PRIEST WITH A BIG WILLY ENDS UP WITH A BISHOPRIC?
How much information is too much information. Your information about the abuse of 'ethos' is excellent, but undermined by the 'willy' disclosure!

The willy aspect was a nice way of calling him a "Dickhead"

My Dear Bishop Pat, Priests do not have willies but penile appendages. The 13th Commandment is Thou shalt washeth both thy handies before thou p-ist in case such an action could be an occasion of sin. Anyone who believes God does not have a sense of humour will always be a fretful christian. On the subject of humour, for 10 points who in the Gospels told the fig tree to fek off-Sean
DeleteAs for your comments about the Mater-I fully agree
DeleteThe Catholic church was running an immoral propaganda campaign to mislead Irish people into believing that pregnant women will always get the medical care they need in Irish hospitals. Therefore there was no need for a law on the issue.
ReplyDeleteSurely this big willy in more ways than one has clearly showed that we women are not safe in these hospitals. He sounds more like a wally!
We need separate state womens hospital, let no woman go near these ethical beasts and children of course!
I agree with you. His name should be Father Willy Wally :-)
DeleteI think the answer is to have all state hospitals run by the state.
If the RC church and hierarchy want to run their own hospitals where they will let women die they should pay for them.
Same with the schools.
Every hospital within the state is bound by Irish law.
The recent legislation is very far from abortion on demand.
It is regrettable termination to save the life of the mother.

The shame of Irish Bishops and politicians
ReplyDeleteThis is primarily a human issue, about the life and death of an actual living person, a factor that Catholic Bishops and Irish politicians often seem to forget in their obsessions with the theological status of embryos and foetuses, and the political power of the conservative vote.
In 1983, at a time of political instability in Ireland, with three general elections in eighteen months, pressure by the Catholic right led to a constitutional referendum known as the Pro-Life Referendum. Abortion, which was already illegal, was now also made unconstitutional.
The new Article 40.3.3 of the constitution said that: “The State acknowledges the right to life of the unborn and, with due regard to the equal right to life of the mother, guarantees in its laws to respect, and, as far as practicable, by its laws to defend and vindicate that right.”
Everyone involved in this debate acknowledged that, in practice, Irish women could still travel to England for an abortion. This safety valve, of having a country on our doorstep with more humane laws than ours, meant we could focus on theological debates here and ignore the real suffering of pregnant women who needed an abortion.
I agree.

When I was in Sligo a young girl became pregnant because she was gotten drunk by a gobshite. Her mother asked me to speak to her. A trip to UK had been arranged for an abortion. I spoke to the girl and gave her the "party Line" I explained that this was a difficult time for her. I told her to get as much objective information before she made her final choice. I also said that nomatter what choice she she made I would not think any less of her and would always have a non judgemental listening ear. The girl had her abortion. 2 years later I saw her in the community centre in Cranmore, Sligo. She was pushing a pram with a wee toddler. We said hello accross the footballfield and that was the last I saw of her-Sean
DeleteCatholic dogma and theological gobbledegook
ReplyDeleteTwenty years after the X case, and two years after the ABC case, pregnant women in Ireland are still caught in the grip of Catholic dogma and political cowardice.
The Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference has responded to the ABC ruling by launching a new campaign to stop the Irish Government from carrying out its duty to legislate. The campaign’s website is at http://chooselife2012.ie.
Bishop John Fleming wrote in the Irish Times:
(He has his own ethical issues I am sure deep in his closet)
“In fact, Ireland, without abortion, is recognised as one of the safest countries in the world to be a pregnant mother. This is something about which we should be proud and is a tribute to the excellent care provided by hospital staff who treat both mother and unborn child with equal dignity and respect as people in their own right. Clearly, if the life of the mother is threatened, by illness or some other medical condition, the care provided by medical professionals will make sure that she receives all the medical care needed.”
This, of course, is simply untrue. And Bishop Fleming’s case for the Catholic Bishops’ campaign shows how unreal is the source of their arguments:
“For those who view life through the lens of their Christian faith, our bodies are sacred; temples of the Holy Spirit, created in the image of God and redeemed through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For Christians, our bodies are not our own to do with them what we will. Our bodies come from God, are created in God’s image and destined for eternal life with him in heaven. This is our faith and this is what distinguishes us from those who do not share our faith.”
OK - why can this not be applied to the safety of children and young people. If you have the Christian lens on, did you take it off when you are refusing to compensate the victims of laundries and any other criminal behaviour you are induleged in. Your hate filled attitude towards women is sinful, no to mention all the other hatred that you spill into the minds of our good people.
Flemming get off our backs and get a real job you bum, living off the backs of the poor people who supply you with their money etc.
This type of theological gobbledegook should never be allowed to take precedence over the real life suffering of real life people in the real life world.
In fact, I have been informed by a friend who is a theologian that this is not even a balanced Christian position, it is on the narrow thinking position of ONE Christian group, the RCC. The most criminal and evil of all the Christian groups.
You argue well.
DeletePat
This is disgusting and outrageous.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know if you can do that in Ireland, but if I were an Irish citizen, I would sue the hospital and all parties involved!
Make a bigger deal out of this so no more women die due to religious fanaticism. Simply disgusting…
- Maria Alexandra
I agree.
DeletePat
Let’s just be blunt here. This big willy does not care about women, neither does that excuse for a church. It should be closed do for criminal activity and for incitied hatred.
ReplyDeleteAll he cares about is the fetus. He is willing to make excuses and lie, lie, lie because for him and his evil bishops, women are only the containers to bring the fetus to full term. (Then rape them I suppose!!) Womens life matter NOTHING compared to the fetus.
Be honest, everyone, the men in dresses don’t care about the women, all they care about are the fetuses. And, to be blunt, they are cruel and heartless. I do not trust a man in a dress anyway, something to hide under there.
This needs to be repeated over and over again: when you privilege the fetus over a living woman, you are cruel and heartless. Women should not have to die for your religious dogma big willy!!
I am all in favour of the rights of the unborn child.
DeleteBut if it becomes a stark choice between mother and the unborn child - the mother must get priority.
If such a mother died would Father Willy Wally go and mind the children she leaves behind ? - or even pay for them to be minded.
No way.
Those orphaned children would not be welcome in his Dublin 4 presbytery.
Pat
Ireland should formally and immediately remove the Catholic Church from any active role in its politics and state organisations (welfare, health, etc.). “This is a Catholic Country” is about the most pathetic acceptance of superstitious ignorance I’ve read in recent years.
ReplyDeleteRemove them and render them powerless for the safety of children, women and our secular life.
I agree.
DeleteI, obviously, as a believer.
But I have no desire to force my beliefs on anyone else - nor do I want the Irish government and tax payer to subsidise my beliefs.
Pat
I will never understand why is it so easy for catholics to kill a full grown woman, with life, relationships, dreams, future, but specially, a PRESENT.
ReplyDeleteBabies are great, adorable, but that doesn’t justify to sacrifice another life when there is a medical situation that confirms that the unborn product will not survive anyways.
Shame on all of you catholic hypocrites. The doctors that follow the wishes of big willy should go to jail, and in all hospitals their should be a non religious doctor to treat this kinds of situations, where others beliefs can damage or destroy your life.
Wake up, dump these religious nuts - is this the 16th century!!!
There are many good catholic doctors who would want to save the Mum's life.
DeletePat
Religion should be removed from Politics otherwise it would become hectic and another crusade would be imminent again. What I don’t understand is how people can play God and allow themselves to make the decision for the rest of the world. God said treasure life, yet they went against this obviously and other unnecessary crap that could save lives. Shame on the catholic church to think that They are the words of God when they clearly aren’t, not that I believe in God or anything, but sometimes their teachings from religions, e..g., you should not hurt people, not steal, and so on. Not the ideology crap part though about a greater existence

George,

1. Love God.
2. Love your neighbour.
Its a pity his self appointed representatives do not preach His pure message.

Religion has nothing to do with professionals denying their sworn oath to protect their client but, you can bet your bottom dollar that religion definitely played a part in their flawed decision process of big willy.

How tragic!
ReplyDeleteIn Ireland the catholic church poisons everything. When oh when will these abnormal creatures go away, have sex and enjoy life.
Basic Christianity is a healing faith.

I just recently lost a twin to chorio.. my water broke at 17 weeks.. they couldn’t determine why.. we held on until 25.6 weeks ( 9 weeks!!) I drank a ton of cranberry juice and was on strict bed rest.. the whole goal was to give the other baby a fighting chance.. but we still had hope.. i ended up delivering baby a( the one with the infection) at home and baby b in the hospital..shortly after baby a delivered i spiked a temp of 104.7 and they induced me to deliver the other baby. baby b is currently in the NICU at 3 months old and is doing great – his original due date is August 11 and he should be coming home next week. sadly we lost baby a 3 hours after his birth.. they said the infection was so bad and his lungs were so underdeveloped that he had no chance of survival. i have so many mixed emotions – we are so happy that one of them survived but so sad for the loss of the other..
ReplyDeleteI just do not know if our church cares about women. Should they even be speaking about these things anyway. Should their energy not be in the poor we children they raped and told lies about.
A mother
Mother,
DeleteCongratulations on being such a good mother to your two babies.
You fought hard to save your two babies. That makes you a hero and a very good woman in my eyes.
These bishops and priests who pontificate on human reproduction need to listen to someone like you.
You have more moral fibre in your little finger than they have in their whole bodies.
I hope that Baby B will bring you nothing but joy and happiness always.
Baby A in in God's arms and one day you will be reunited.
If I wanted advice about these matters I would prefer your advice to a Croke Park full of intellectual, immature and inexperienced clerics.
With love,

Now, just to understand where he comes from as a true Catholic priest, bear in mind these beliefs he also feverently holds:
ReplyDelete- Rabbits chew cud
- Bats are birds
- If a voice in your head tells you to kill your child, it is your loving god, and you must do it without question
- If you are a girl and there are no men around, it is okay to have sex with your father
- If your child is disrespectful/surly, you must stone him to death
- If you work at all on the sabbath (Saturday), you must be put to death
- Paralysis is caused by sinful behaviour
- God hates fags (so should you?), which he supposedly created
- The world is flat
Ignore him demand that your TD is non-religious, the only way to move forward in this country!!
You are right. We need parliamentarians with consciences and not ones that hope the local bishop and priest will help them deliver votes.
DeletePat
The bishops use doublespeak talking about care when they mean a religiously based medical procedure- u can hold her hand and let her die and call it care! Remember paedophile priests being protected, peter tobin’s priest lying in court!end this unholy roman empire of men now!
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteI often thought this about Mother Teresa.
She held the hands of the dying.
But she never asked why they were dying in the first place.
They were dying because their government / regimes were robbing the country's wealth rather than spend it on the people.
Mother Teresa visited corrupt regime leaders and used their private helicopters for transport.

Had the clergy of the Dublin Archdiocese followed the example of a onetime curate in Cushendall in the 60's then the whole business about abortion, especially among the unmarried mothers, would never occur. Sunday night was always dance night at the local parochial hall. The curate, the late Fr Sylvester McGrady would patrol the dance floor just to make sure that no couple indulged in "close dancing" or "petting"in case passions were inflamed !! It was not unknown for him to place his arms between a couple, just like a boxing referee, to separate them in case evidence of heightened libido could be evidenced.
ReplyDeleteAround about 11.30 he would then leave the hall and patrol the car park looking for cars which showed signs of "heated activity" - steamy windows!!. He would knock windows, open doors and berate the amorous couples many of whom were often in a state of undress. Many a dishevelled young lady was informed that "Our Blessed Lady wouldn't approve of that carry on" Stop sex in the back of cars, reduce abortion, bring back Sylvester McGrady !!!
I hope you are joking?
DeleteThe era of the parish priest out with the blackthorn stick was also the era of the unmarried mother being put in the Magdalene Laundry when pregnant.
Her baby often belonged to the local priest, doctor, policeman etc.
It was also the era of the widespread sexual abuse of children.
While Father McGrady was out in the dance halls and car parks many of his fellow priests were making girls pregnant and abusing little boys and girls.
Maybe Father McGrady should have stayed at home and beat the abusing priest, brothers and nuns?

Too many Dark Ages Magicians have too much control over innocent women’s lives in this backward country. I’m disgusted by the cowardice of the so called government.
ReplyDeleteIt’s all well and good to take the high road, to not point the finger and blame flawed policies but, at some time in the near future someone is going to have to acknowledge the elephant in the room. Catholicism us responsible for most flawed policies in the government and our organisations.
ReplyDeleteTha allows for the good that was and is done, but in terms of policy, teriible and flawed!
“Hysterical atheists for secular totalitarianism!”

“Ireland is, in fact, no longer a “Catholic country” but now one of the most profoundly anti catholic countries in Europe.”
ReplyDeleteThis is all the more reason the government need to relinquish the control the Catholic Church have on our state.
Regardless of who delivered the line “This is a Catholic country” and regardless of the context in which it was delivered it still results in the same meaning – ‘you can not have an abortion because of this fact.’ I strongly believe that any member of a medical team would have administered an abortion had they been able to foresee the fatal outcome, regardless of their ethical standing point, and abiding by the law as you state.
The fact that an unqualified celibate with a big willy is sitting on a board of a tax run hospital with such ethical inbalance is a serious issue by anyones standards. This is a life and death problem in our country and needs to be addressed immediately.
Nurse - Dublin
The people whipping up a frenzy over this in advance of any facts have shown themselves to be the true abortophiles they really are. They just want abortion, abortion, abortion. Everything else is secondary, even the lives of women!!
ReplyDeleteBe careful what you all wish for!!
Not sure why his Willy had to be brought into it.
ReplyDeleteWhat's Diarmuid's like?
The life of the woman should surely be, reluctantly, preferred over that of the baby. However, I find the introduction of the size of the priest's penis to be remarkably juvenile at best, also populist, and as such unworthy of a supposed man of God. This sort of language trivializes the issue. I wonder whether you, a self proclaimed LIBERAL AND OPENMINDED CATHOLIC BISHOP (Roman Catholic I presume)are trying to appear modern, hip, cool, but I find thsi at best rather silly.

ReplyDeleteDear Christopher,
DeleteThank you for your comment. Thank you also for putting your name to it.
I apologise if I was guilty of trivialising such a serious matter.
I was being satirical, iconoclastic and contemptous of a very immature priest who claims that celibacy is a joy - suggesting that a hospital should let a woman in such a tragic dilemma die.

Certainly agree with your views on innapropriate involvement of C church in these matters Pat, and glad to see comments share that stance. However I have to agree that "willy" comments are just a bit "under the belt"! (Ouch!)
