CATHOLIC CHURCH'S HIERARCHY ENABLES SEX ABUSE

Professor Gene Kennedy

Professor Gene Kennedy was born in 1928. He was ordained a priest with the American Maryknoll Fathers in 1955. He became a professor of psychology at The Loyola University in Chicago and is the author of many books. He left the priesthood and in 1977 he married the Maryknoll nun Sandra C Charles who was also a qualified psychiatrist.

In February of this year Prof Kennedy wrote an article for the National Catholic Reporter in which he said that the Catholic approach to hierarchy - as defended in the Church's Council of Trent - enables sex abuse by priests in the Catholic Church.

Professor Kennedy's thesis is as follows:

1. The hierarchial structures of the Catholic Church are the same structures that you see in a football stadium:

The owners (the bishops) sit in the top in the skyboxes. the priests and religious in reserved seats below them. And in the standing room below them, with an impaired vision of the game - the ordinary men and women - who in fact are the Church!

2. The sex abuse scandal is a function of hierarchy, that is, of a system that places all power in the hands of those at the very top of the steppe like structure.

3. The hierarchial model granted unusual privileges to those who lived on the top and to whom respect was to be paid at all times.

4. The hierarchial model made the abuse of children by priests possible because it cloaked its priests in special privilege on a level above lay people.

5. This culture conferred automatic deference to anybody who wore a clerical collar. 

6. The demand for celibacy in the ranks and courtiers and priests served the hierarchs as well because it made the lesser acolytes - the priests - sign on for a life of servitude to the system and to superiors on whom they were emotionally and financially dependent.

7. Control a persons sexuality and you control them completely and there is no need to worry about the suppression, confusion and stunted psychosexual growth problems that were the side effects of such hierarchial dominance - the hierarchs told them: "This is God's will for you".

8.  In this system clerical sex abusers were dealt with internally as they were priviled members of the clerical and hierarchial court.

9. For priests celibacy and chastity was the dynamite packed into their official endorsement as conditions for the privileges of accepting lot as God's will and serving, much like the butlers and maids of Downton Abbey, in the secondhand glory of the great hierarchial palace. As Philip 11 told the pope at the Council of Trent: "If the pope was to give ground on celibacy, there would go the whole hierarchial neighbourhood".

10. It is possible to speculate that the refusal to consider women priests and optional celibacy is rooted in the fear that yielding even an inch on these subjects would threaten the entire hierarchial structure. This reflexive assertion of the intrinsic superiority of forsaking sex for the Kingdom thus emerges as a political rather than a theological conviction.

11. Through several centuries, in order to maintain a hierarchial structure, church officials have insisted on celibacy for priests and exhalted virginity over marriage.

12. Thus the Church defends itself and its hierarchial structure rather than the children entrusted to its care.

I think that there is a great deal in Professor Kennedy's thesis. When faced with scandals bishop after bishop has put the "good name and reputation" of the Church before the interests of the abused.

They have a saying in Rome:

"Do what you want with women. Do what you want with men. Do what you want with children. But leave the POWER alone"

That is why the Roman Catholic Church reserves its greatest punishments not for paedophile priests and bishops - but for those who challenge its centuries old hierarchial power.

In 1995 I sued the late Father Michael Cleary and a Dublin radio station for libel after they refused to give me the right of reply after they made serious and untrue accusations about my marriage ministry to Irish citizend who were divorced and wanted to marry.

I would have been perfectly happy to settle the matter out of court with an apology, the right of reply and a small donation to a charity.

But no that was refused. It was refused because the Irish Roman Catholic Establishment at that time was still very powerful. It was before the onslaught of all the scandals that came afterwards. 

One of the biggest problems I encountered in seeking justice was the fact that the Dublin High Court judge - Dermot Kinlen - was an arch Roman Catholic and had been created a Papal Knight by Pope John Paul 11.

Can you imagine the scene - me - a dissident Catholic priest who had taken Rome on - was to have a trial presided over by a Papal Knight!

Judge Dermot Kinlen was a devout daily Mass going Roman Catholic who also helped organise the Kerry Diocese Annual Lourdes Pilgrimage - who also had a sister a nun and who was as I said a Knight of the Order of Saint Gregory!

During my three week court ordeal Judge Kinlen was very rude to me and threatened to tell the jury that I was "a con man" because I was celebrating the marriages of divorcees, Thankfully he said this in the absence of the jury.

On one occasion during a break in court proceedings someone went into Judge Kinlen's chambers and found the judge saying the Rosary in front of a lit candle and a statue of Virgin Mary.That person came out of chambers and told me what he saw and said to me: "You're f****d.

As it turned out - and thankfully we got a hung jury. I sacked my whole legal team and got one of Ireland's top barristers at the time. At the beginning of the retrial we were offered and accepted a settlement. After paying the lawyers I was left with a very small sum of money - that just about covered my expenses. 

One of the big problems in every society is trying to have a totally and objective judiciary. When a judge sits on his bench he should not allow his personal beliefes or prejudices to affect his judgement. Nor should he allow his religious or political beliefs to interfere with justice.

Sadly I have found that when you go to court you very often do not get JUSTICE. Instead you get LAW.

Above many court houses you can see the statue of LADY JUSTICE - holding the scales of justice and blindfolded as a symbol of total objectivity.

A devout Roman Catholic judge - who is also a former politician - and who is also a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem has accused an Irish bishop - Bishop Michael Cox - of not being a real bishop!

Mr Durcan made his accusations while sitting on the bench at the District Children's Court in Ennis in Co. Clare, Ireland.

Before the court was a young man - a member of the Irish Traveller Community - who had been married by Bishop Cox in a purely religious ceremony.

The judge was perfectly entitled to say that Bishop Cox is NOT on the Irish Register of Solemnisers and is therefore not entitled to represent his marriages as legal marriages in Ireland or anywhere else.

But what entitled the judge to make a dogmatic theological pronouncement about the validity of Bishop Cox's episcopal consecration?

Was Judge Durcan giving vent to his devout Roman Catholicism? If so he was very much in the wrong.

A civil judge should order all the proceedings in his court on the basis of civil law. He has no right to wander off into statements based on Sacramental Theology. Mr Durcan is a former solicitor and a civil judge. As far as I am aware he has no qualifications whatsoever in theology.

Nor is he entitled to use his privileged position on the bench to express his own religious beliefs and prejudices!

If Judge Durcan believes that only Roman Catholic bishops are "real bishops" then that means that all the bishops of the Church of Ireland are fake bishops - parading around like bishops but not bishops at all!

Only 33% of the world's population is Christian. That means that 66% of the world's population is not Christian at all.

Only 17% of the world's population is nominally Roman Catholics.

That means that 83% of the world are not Roman Cathlics.

Roman Catholics are a world MINORITY.

Why should a Roman Catholic district judge in a remote part of Ireland - a tiny country in the context of the world - think he can pontificate about religion and who is and who is not a religious leader or bishop?

Bishop Cox has been a bishop of the Irish Catholic and Orthodox Church for over 30 years.

We are supposed to live in a modern democracy and in a free society where EVERYONE is free to practice their religious beliefs without harrassment of insult from anyone else - as long as they do not contravene the civil law. 

If someone peacefully wants to worship in their own way and assume or be given a religious title by their own community it is none of my business and none of Judge Durcan's business. 

Does Judge Durcan not believe in democracy, tolerance and respect for the religious views of others?

Maybe that is why the people of Mayo did not see fit to elect him as a member of parliament when he put himself forward for election 3 times in 1981, 1982 and 1987?

It has taken me 60 years to come to realise that the Roman Catholic Church is built upon several serious lies!

Lie 1: That Peter - the head of the Apostles - was in Rome.

Lie 2: That Peter was the first "Bishop of Rome".

Lie 3: That Peter's body is buried in Rome under St Peter's Basilica.

Lie 4: That Rome is the primary "see" of the Christian church.

1. PETER IN ROME:

There is no evidence either from the New Testament or from historical sources that Peter was ever in Rome. Peter being in Rome is not mentioned anywhere in the New Testament!

Peter was designated by Jesus to be the apostle to the Jews or the "circumcised". It was Paul who was the "Apostle to the Gentiles" and Rome was very definitely a gentile city. "To me was committed the gospel of the uncircumcision, as to Peter was that of the circumcision" (Galatians 2:7). For a longer and expert discussion of this google:

The Vatican was so worried about Otto Zwierlein's scholarship that they called two separate conferences to refute his findings - but failed. The Vatican regard Zwierlein as an enemy of the Church.

Professor Zwierlien was born in 1939. He is a German classical scholar. He is a professor emiritus of the University of Hamburg and in 1986 he was the Neville Wallace Lecturer at the University of Oxford.

2. PETER THE FIRST BISHOP OF ROME:

If Peter was never in Rome he could not have been the first Bishop of Rome. It he had ever visited Rome (which is unlikely) neither could he have been the first Bishop of Rome. Why have a visitor - who is going away again - as bishop.

Saint Paul was the founder of the Church in Rome and there is ample evidence of Paul's present in Rome. It was Paul, not Peter who wrote the New Testament book - The Letter to the Romans.

Also the role of "apostle" is very different from the role of "bishop" or overseer/episcopi.

The Apostles were missionaries and founders of churches - not bishops. Their mission was to the whole church - not to one church in any one place. Father Sullivan says:

a.     The Apostles were not bishops in our present day understanding of bishops but they were instead missionaries and founders of churches.

b.    Some early local churches did have bishops but it is not at all clear that these bishops were ever appointed or ordained by Saint Paul or by any other apostle.

Father Sullivan was born in 1922 and completed his doctorate in theology in 1954. From 1956 until 1992 - 36 years he was the Professor of Ecclesiology at Rome's GREGORIAN UNIVERSITY. From 1967 until 1970 he was the Dean of Theology at the Gregorian.

3. PETER'S BODY BURIED IN ROME?

The Roman Catholic Church claims that the body and bones of Saint Peter are buried under the main altar of St Peter's Basilica in Rome. This is NOT TRUE!

Father Bellarmino Bagatti - an Italian Franciscan priest and skilled archeologist found a stone ossuary / coffin in 1954 during and archeological dig under the DOMINUS FLAVIT (Jesus wept) chapel on the Mount of Olives in Jeruslame. The insctiption on the coffin read: SHIMON bar YONAH - Simon the son of Jonah.

Father Bagatti reported his findings to Pope Pius X11 who replied:

"Well, we will have to make some changes....but for the time being keep this thing quiet!

Father Bagatti was a faithful Italian Roman Catholic Franciscan monk. He would have no reason to lie. He was a loyal son of the Church. He completed his doctorate in 1934 at the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archeology on the Cemetery Commodilla in Rome. In 1935 he was a professor in the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum in Jerusalem. In 1955 he was mae a Knight Commander of the Order of Merit in Italy.

His priestly and archeology colleague Father J T Milke said of his work:

"There is a hundred times more evidence that Peter was buried in Jerusalem than in Rome".

Yet in spite of al this scholarship Pope Paul V1 in the 1960's declared that the bones of Saint Peter were in The Vatican and just a few months ago Pope Francis put those bones on display! All the scientists can say - without DNA evidence - about the bones in the Vatican are that they belonged to a man of sixty or seventy from the 1 st century. They could be anybody's bones. They are not St Peter's bones!

4 ROME IS PRIME "SEE" OF CHRISTIAN CHURCH:

The Christian Church was founded in Jerusalem. If any episcopal see is the primary see of the Christian Church it must be Jerusalem.

Jesus never intended to found a new religion. He intended to reform Judaism. Christians are really the "New Jews" who accepted Jesus as the Savious and Messiah. 

When the Christian Church in Jerusalem was persecuted it moved to Antioch. Antioch therefore would be entitled to claim primacy way before Rome.

The Apostles were not "bishops" but missionaries and founders of churches. There would be some foundation to the claim that Peter as the head of the Apostles might have been the first "bishop" of the church and of Jerusalem. 

When after the persecution the early church moved to Antioch Peter appears to have stepped back in favour of James - the "Brother of the Lord". James would have a good claim to have been the first "bishop" of Antioch. 

"But it must be remembered that the Early Church was not organised centralistically. It was a community of the faithful in which presbyters, deacons and episkopoi served various functions. 

The monoepiscopacy did not develop until that late 2nd century in the fight against the gnostic movements. 

ALL the bishops of the Christian communities sawthemselves as successors of the apostles on whom the Holy Spirit had been poured out INDISCRIMINATELY at the feast of Pentecost. 

The primacy of the bishp of Rome is due to PURELY historical reasons and it took time to develop into an absolute monarchy, which it still is today by adopting Roman imperial law in the High Middle Ages". (Zwierlien)

CONCLUSION:

The above has been a VERY BRIEF summary of how the Roman Catholic Church is established upon lie after lie.

I am continuing to study all these matters and  would appreciate all comments.

A number of contributors to this Blog have reacted negatively to Sean Page saying that he had stood as a candidate for UKIP in last Thursdays local goverment elections in England.

Some people have claimed that I give Sean an "inordinate" amount of space on the Blog to express his views.

My answer to that is:

1. Sean is a regular (daily) contributor to the Blog's comments. I appreciate that Sean is interested in the Blog and interested enought to comment very regularly.

2. I publish every comment I receive on this Blog - regardless of whether or not I agree with it. We have enough censorship in the world without me starting.  The only comments I do not publish are the ones that are excessively crude or excessively personal. I want this Blog to be absolutely open to all.

3. One contributor seems to suggest that I should make my views on UKIP known. Politically and socially I am at heart a socialist and a left winger. If I live in Elgland I would find it very hard - maybe impossible - to vote for the Conservatives or New Labour. I would be an Old Labour man. A man like Tony Benn would be a hero for me.

It seems to me that UKIP is an ultra right wing party. When they have gotten rid of all the immigrants - including the blacks, muslims and eventually the Irish - I'm sure they would set their sights on communities like the gay and lesbian community - and maybe even the Jews?

I have a feeling that Sean voted and stood for UKIP as a PROTEST. I think he said so himself. 

It is one of the sad facts of political life that those of us who are at heart anti-establishment - are often forced to vote for strange people because we have no one else to vote for.

I think that the UK - and indeed Ireland - needs a thoroughgoing anti establishment party like Old Labour was in its early days.

New Labour in the UK - and the Labour Party in Ireland - are no longer proper socialists. They have become part of the establishment.

This was the predicament I think Sean was faced with.

If I was a voter in England I would want to protest and send shock waves to the Establishment. How I would do it I don't know.

Pope Francis has excommunicated two Austrian Catholic pensioners for praying!

Martha and Gert Heizer were found "guilty" by a church court of celebrating the eucharist without a priest being present.

The Austrian couple who were founders of the international "liberal" Catholic organisation WE ARE CHURCH were, in their absence, put on trial, convicted and ecommunicated for a crime that the Vatican calls: "Simulating the Eucharist"!!!!

For a number of years the couple had been meeting in their home with a small group of friends for prayer and for the Breaking of Bread. They were simply following the instructions of Jesus who said: "Where two or three gather in my name I shall be with them" and "Do this (break bread) in memory of me".

WE ARE CHURCH has campaigned for years for things like the ordination of women and for optional celibacy for priests.

Why has the Vatican reacted to the Heizers so aggressively? The answer is simple:

THE VATICAN AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS AFRAID. THEY ARE AFRAID THAT THE PEOPLE OF GOD WILL STRIP THE HIERARCHY - THE BISHOPS AND PRIESTS OF THE THING THEY MOST NEED - POWER, POWER, POWER, POWER, POWER, POWER.

Jesus said: "YOU HAVE RECEIVED FREE OF CHARGE - GIVE FREE OF CHARGE (Matthew 10:8).

But what the Roman Catholic institution has done is that it has hijacked and kidnapped Jesus and his gifts.

They now think that the OWN Jesus - that they have him locked away in their tabernacles, cathedrals and churches.

They have tried to control and imprison Jesus in their Canon Law. They think that Jesus is now a Prisoner of the Vatican.

The ordinary people of God can only have access to this Jesus if they:

1. Vow obedience to the pope, bishops and priests.
2. Let them control every aspect of your life - especially your sexuality.
3. Give them your money every week and leave them all you own in your will.
4. Let them control your children, your teachers and your parents in their Catholic controlled schools.
5. Let them tell you how to vote.
6. Let them control which building you can be married in and buried from.
7. Let them control your bedroom life.
8. Let them abuse your children.
9. Let them appoint any power crazy imbecile as your parish priest or bishop - ie your local sheriff.
10.Let decide that your wife must die instead of the unborn baby in the womb.
11. Let them hate and persecute your gay and lesbian family members from their own gay saunas.
12. Let them dictate to your national government.
13. Let them flaunt the United Nations on the torture of children and the rights of children.
14. Let them have a "State" which was given to them by the facist Mussolini.
15. Let them support people like Adolph Hitler.

16. Let them deny condoms to AIDS ridden Africa.
17. Let them have 50% rates reduction on their buildings while you pay 100%.
18. Let them discrimate against the world's women.
19. Let all your kings, presidents and politicans go to Rome and kiss their rings.

and on.......and one........and on......and on.......and on.....and on.....and on.................................................

The real Jesus has no time for these people. They have highjacked Jesus' "Kingdom of God" and made it into their own man made "Roman Empire Mk 11".

If Jesus came back again they would crucify him all over again. In fact by crucifying Jesus people - his "Little Ones" they crucify him every hour of every day.

BUT IT IS YOU WHO GIVE THEM THIS POWER OVER YOU.

YOU ARE AFRAID.

YOU ARE BLIND.


YOU STUPIDLY THINK THAT IF YOU GO AGAINST THEM YOU WILL BURN IN THEIR HELL!

BUT YOU ARE ALREADY IN HELL - THE HELL OF THEIR MAKING.

YOU ARE THEIR SLAVES!

BISHOP TREANOR AND MORAL ABSOLUTES

In the run up to tomorrow's local council and european elections in the North of Ireland, Bishop Noel Treanor of Belfast has published a REFLECTION on four matters - which you see on www.downandconnor.org :

1. The Right to Life.

2. Same Sex Marriage.

3. Promoting Justice.
4. Promoting Peace and Reconciliation.

BISHOP TREANOR'S STYLE AND TONE:

Bishop Treanor is to be congratulated on the style and tone of his comments which are both non aggressive and sensitive. In fairness no one can accuse Noel of any form of extremism. He calls for respect for the dignity of all and is not seeking to dictate to society but is engaging in a dialogue with society. At the same time he is expressing his own Roman Catholic beliefs - beliefs he and his fellow RC's are perfectly entitled to. He is seeking to "inform" the consciences of Roman Catholics and those who wish to be informed by his views. As a Roman Catholic bishop part of his "job description" is to teach the Roman Catholic faith.

WHERE I AGREE WITH HIM:

1. That how every one vote is up to their own personal conscience.
2. That it is very important to vote.
3. That the Right to Life in a fundamental human right.
4. That every person is equal in the sight of God.
5. That EVERYBODY should be treated with love, care, dignity and respect.
6. That churches and religions should have the right to teach their own beliefs.
7. That religious ministers should not be forced to perform same sex marriages.
8. That churches should teach their beliefs with respect and sensitivity.
9. That the poor and children should be protected.
10. That all of us should pomote peace and reconciliation.

BUT I DISAGREE ON MANY OTHER THINGS:

RIGHT TO LIFE:

The right to life is a fundamental right. But it is NOT an ABSOLUTE RIGHT. For instance if we try and kill another human being we lose our absolute right to life and they have the right to kill us in self defence - once kiling is absolutely necessary to their self defence.

ABORTION:

I think that abortion is most often a MORAL EVIL - but not always. For instance if it comes down to the stark choice of the mother and baby then it is moral for a couple to choose the life of the mother. In such a case abortion does not become a "good" - but it does become the LESSER OF TWO EVILS.

EDUCATION:

I think that the right to an education is a human right. But the right to a CATHOLIC, PROTESTANT or MUSLIM eduation is not a human right.

The state should provide schools and colleges for all. If any religion like the Catholics, Protestant or Muslims want to have segragated education they should have to pay for it themselves as they do in the USA.

Segregated education has and is still a contributory factor to the hurt, hatred and killing that has paralysed the North of Ireland.

Why should we have two teacher training colleges - one Catholic and one State? They should be combined.

But the problem is that education is one of the big areas in wich the Roman Catholic Church has exercised control over children, teachers and parents. This control needs to be broken.

SAME SEX MARRIAGES:

I absolutely disagree with Noel Treanor when he says that "Religious and non religious people alike have long acknowledged and know from their experience that the family, based on the marriage of a woman and  man is the best and ideal place for children".

It was Roman Catholic married mothers and fathers - helped by their parish priests - who put their pregnant daughters into Magdalen Laundries to hide them away - where they could be sexually, physically and mentally abused!

It was Roman Catholic married mothers and fathers who sent - and still send - their pregnant daughters for abortions in "immoral" England!

It was Roman Catholic catholic fathers who had incest with their daughters - often with the knowledge of their Roman Catholic mothers.

It was married Roman Catholic mothers and fathers who brought Father Brendan Smyth (Cavan), Father Danny Curran and Father James Donaghy (Down & Connor) into the world and brought them up so well that they turned out to be paedophiles that hurt hundreds and thousands of little innocent children.

Bishop Eamon Casey was the product of a good Catholic man/woman marriage. So was Father Michael Cleary. So was Cardinal Keith O'Brien.

Catholic heterosexuality is no guarantee of good parenthood! In fact it seems to have failed in a spectacular fasion in so many instances.

HUMAN COMPLEMENTARITY:

Noel Treanor says that men and women have  a complemenatry sexual union.

Is he basing that on the fact that the man has a bit sticking out and a woman has a crevice into which that sticking out bit goes?

I have been conducting my own private very sensitive survey over recent years into anal sex.

And I have discovered that a surprising number of homosexual men do not engage in it - and more to my surprise that a surprising number of heterosexual men and women do engage in it. Sometimes married couples use it as a form of contraception! Sometimes it happens because a woman's receiving crevice has become hopelessly loose by having many babies. Sometimes couples engage in at for sheer experimentation and pleasure. I know that "AS" is not a very Catholic activity. But Noel might be surprised to know how many Catholics practice it - and how many of its adherents are heterosexual!

I think we need to be very careful about judging people or summing them up on the basis of their genitals.

You would be surprised what people do with them. Ask any doctor who works in a busy E&E unit.

CONCLUSION:

By all means let us have dialogue and debate. But let us be very careful about the boundaries we put around our dialogue and debate. In general I think that modern society cannot form its moral codes and ethics on the basis of medieval dogmas or flat earth doctrines.

FATHER MICHAEL "RASPUTIN" CLEARY

Cleary

Recently in the IRISH TIMES newspaper people have been calling the late Fr Michael Cleary of Dublin a "compassionate man" and a "good priest". 

I disagree with this completely and wrote a letter to the IRISH TIMES to express my point of view - which was not published! Censorship! Thank God for Blogger.

Cleary was a life time preacher of Roman Catholic moral codes on such matters as contraception and priestly celibacy. Yet in his private life he had a common law wife - Phylis Hamilton - and at least two children! He was an insincere and obnoxious specimen and also an arch-hypocrite.

Up until the day he died he used to introduce Phylis - his partner of 26 years - as: "AN UNMARRIED MOTHER I TOOK PITY ON AND TOOK INTO MY HOME".

After Cleary died Phylis sent for me and I visited her in her home at Harold's Cross in Dublin. She was a broken woman. Cleary had promised her that when he died he would leave her everything. In the event he left her little - leaving all his goods to the Church - a ticket to Heaven - and on the very day of the funeral members of the Cleary Clan came to the house and removed the family car and many items. 

I am quite sure that these actions led to Phylis' early death from cancer a few years later.

CLEARY AND I:

Cleary was commissioned by the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church to do all he could to undermine me. He had a nightly radio show in Dublin and a weekly column in the self styled Catholic newspaper THE IRISH CATHOLIC.

Using these media outlets he tried to undermine my marriage ministry to divorced couples by calling me: "a con man doing con jobs". I telephoned him and asked him for the right of reply. He ignorantly chewed his food into the telephone and said: "WHEN JASUS WAS HANGING ON THE CROSS HE HAD NO RIGHT OF REPLY AND NEITHER DO YOU". I was left with no other option but to successfully sue him for libel in the Dublin High Court.

FATHER MICHAEL KEANE:

Father Michael Keane was a west of Ireland Catholic priest who was also the founder of the Knock Marriage Bureau introducing bachelors and spinsters with the hope of lessening their lonliness and leading to marriages.

Father Keane who was a liberal, eventually fell foul of the hierarchy in the  guise of the archbishops of Tuam in Galwayy and Dublin. The hierarchy used Michael Cleary as a "hit man" against Father Keane and he was evicted from his house by the church and the Irish courts. Luckily he had some family funding and he was able to survive, But he suffered great isolation and sadness for many decades. Cleary was central to his suffering.

DUBLIN PRIEST AND MARRIED WOMAN:

In the 1990's the newspapers carried the story of a Dublin priest who had an affiar with a married woman - which involved him having sex with her while she was not fully conscious.

I was assisting the woman as she was up against the full might of the Church and all the power, influence and money of the Archdiocese of Dublin.

Cleary was sent in again as a church "hit man". He convinced the poor woman to go to the USA and told her that the priest was waiting there for her. But in fact without her knowing he had already despatched the priest into hiding in Rome.

He got the confused woman to sign a document for him which he told her was her giving him permission to look after her affairs while she was away. Without knowing it the women had signed a document giving Cleary full power of attorney over all her affairs.

The woman and the priest owned a house in common. When Cleary got the woman away he tried to sell the house from under her. Thankfully he did not succeed.

But what a mind - and total lack of conscience - he must have had to try and shove an already vulnerable women down further.

The priest in question was well looked after by the Church and the poor woman was left in anguish.

 CONCLUSION:

Cleary was not only a "company man" but also a long time church hit man. He walked over very many people - and did it all in the name of God and in the name of the Catholic Church.

He was a liar, a cheat, a hypocrite and someone who showed neither compassion or mercy for those who got in his way or his Church's way.

He is now long dead and God has judged him. I hope that the God who protects the widows and the orphans managed somehow to see that justice was done.

The sad thing is that the Catholic Church - and all churches are full of people like this - Pharisees and Whited Sepulchres!

JOHN PAUL 11's THEOLOGY OF THE BODY IS SERIOUSLY FLAWED

One of the great dangers facing modern society and civilisation is the spread of dangerous right wing ideologies.

Among the most dangerous of these right wing ideologies are the ideologies and pronouncements that emanate from the religious right wingers in the USA who are predominantly "Protestant" fundamentalists.

However the Protestants do not have a monopoly on theological and social extremism. Roman Catholic extremism is, unfortunately alive and well, spreading and doing great harm in RC dioceses and parishes.

One of these extreme RC ideologies is a pseudo theology invented by John Paul 11 called the THEOLOGY OF THE BODY - for short: TOB.

TOB consists of the 129 lecturers given by John Paul 11 during his wednesday audiences in Rome between 1979 and 1984 added to some of his encyclicals, letters and exortations.

Theology of the Body seeks to present an authoritative synthesis of RC teaching on the human body and human sexuality - a teaching that the world MUST follow it if wants to be MORAL and SAVED!

Theology of the Body emphasises that sex must take place exclusively in the context of the marriage between one man and one woman and that outside that all others are called to virginity, celibacy and "chastity". "Chastity" is interchangable with "abstinence" - for those living outside marriage.

This of course means that masturbation, sex outside marriage and the poor homosexuals are in deep, deep trouble - both in this life and especially in the life to come.

The Theology of the Body is anti body; anti sex; anti pleasure; anti freedom; anti conscience; etc.

Prominent Catholic theologians have been highly critical of John Paul 11's theology of the body.

They say that the Theology of the Body is "incapable of serving as a theology for all persons and all bodies".

That: "the nuptual meaning of the body is not appropriate for single people, the widowed, the elderly and homosexuals".

That: "John Paul's theology is a highly romantised and unrealistic view of sexuality".

That: "This theology has a lack of connection to real people".

That: "The Theology of the body is based on a selective use of Scripture - ignoring Matthew 5:32 in which Jesus makes an exception for divorce in the case of infidelity - ignoring the fact that the Patriarchs permitted polygamy and that the Church itself practices both the Pauline and Petrine Privileges".

 Add to this John Paul 11's abysmal failure to address the whole area of child sex abuse by clergy during his time in Rome and his prolonged protection for the infamous paedophile priest, Marciel Maciel of the Legionaries of Christ, nothing he ever did or said about human sexuality has the least grain of credability.

As Jesus said: IT IS BY THEIR FRUITS THAT YE SHALL KNOW THEM".

And talking about FRUITS - this Theology of the Body is being promoted world wide by a young generation of priests - the vast majority of whom are secretly actively gay - while calling the rest of Catholics to things like chastity and abstinence.

Whenever you find a priest promoting John Paul 11's Theology of the Body you can be 90% certain that the priest is living a sexually active double life and is suffering from theological, moral and sexual schitzophrenia.

When these priests take off their clerical collars and leave down their John Paul 11 essays - you will find them in gay saunas and bars: on sex driven Spanish holidays with other gay priests; visiting gay seminarians with gifts and fast food takeaways - on gay cruising websites; cruising gay pick up areas or public toilets; or in gourmet resaurants wining and dining and having each other for desert.

When not doing that they are in their rooms and presbyteries pressing their expensive Rome tailored cassocks and ironing their multi pleated Roman lace surplices in preparation for their appearance at parish Masses where they will mince around the church sanctuary being much admired by old age pensioners who see them as the next generation of "God's Holy Annointed".

It it wasn't so f****** sad it would make you laugh!
