BISHOP TREANOR REWARDS FR DALLAT FOR SCREWING AROUND

*****WARNING: this Blog today contains BLUNT content.

BISHOP TREANOR REWARDS FR DALLAT FOR SCREWING AROUND

TODAY'S SUNDAY LIFE - 1ST MAY 2016

QUESTION: WHAT HAPPENS TO A DOWN AND CONNOR PRIEST WHO SCREWS AROUND, BREAKS HIS CELIBACY PROMISES, COMMITS THE SIN OF FORNICATION, BEDS A FEMALE PARISHIONER, GETS HER PREGNANT, GOES OUT FOR DINNER WITH FRIENDS WHILE THE WOMAN IS LOSING HIS BABY ON HER BATHROOM FLOOR ?

ANSWER: BISHOP NOEL TREANOR REWARDS YOU BY GIVING YOU 12 MONTHS PAID LEAVE AND THEN APPOINTS YOU TO A PLUSH PRISON CHAPLAIN JOB - THAT RAISES YOUR INCOME FROM £20,000 PER ANNUM TO £50,000 PER ANNUM - AN INCREASE OF £30,000 PER YEAR!
BISHOP TREANOR PAYS £50,000 REWARD TO SCREWING PRIESTS
Those of who know Ciaran Dallat, and know about him, are not surprised one little bit by what is happening. He is obviously as good at charming and manipulating bishops as he is at charming and manipulating vulnerable and easy to target women.

This is Ciaran Dallat at his finest. And of course it must be in his genes. His uncle, Mickey Dallat, also found it to keep his John Thomas in his trousers. We do not know how much he got as a reward. But we do know that he was rewarded by being made a bishop - with all its monies, expenses, perks and privileges. We also know that the Church tried to keep the woman hidden at his glorious funeral.

The Most Reverend Bonker
While we are not shocked by the Dallats brass necks and brass balls - we are shocked that in 2016 a Roman Catholic bishop - after all the scandal that is sweeping the Church is actually financially REWARDING  priests who copulate with their parishioners  !

And Bishop Treanor is doing this as A SUCCESSOR TO THE APOSTLES and as the appointed representative of The Vatican in this area.

LET US PREY

What Bishop Treanor is really doing is giving the TWO FINGERS to the faithful priests of Down and Connor and to the 300,000 plus lay men and women of the diocese. Will his next pastoral letter to the priests and people of the diocese be named: "PEDICABO EAM" - "F*** OFF?

Bishop Treanor is also sheltering a number of other priests who are involved with both women and men. Maybe they get a year bonus or yearly expenses to cover the cost of their "activities". Maybe serving priests can now apply to Bishop Treanor for contraceptive expenses or fertility treatments. Is Saint Viagra being added to the diocesan patrons - St Malachy and St Macnisi?

SAINT VIAGRA OF DOWN AND CONNOR

And now Ciaran Dallat - if approved by the Northern Ireland Department of Justice - will have access to prisoners and their wives and families.

Will he be a real hit with the sex offenders in HMP Maghaberry?

Will he preach in the Maghaberry Prison chapel about the 6TH and 9th Commandments? Will he give talks - as he used to in his parishes - about Chastity, Theology of the Body etc?

Has Ciaran Dallat? Has Noel Treanor no shame? Do Dallat and Treanor uphold Catholic moral teaching? Do they worry about causing scandal? Do they worry about what message their activities and decisions are sending out?

Has it now come to pass in Down and Connor that what is EVIL is considered Good? That SIN is considered VIRTUE? That BRAZENNESS is considered as FIDELITY?

As the old Catholic people in of Down and Connor used to say - "JESUS WEPT"!

  1. Some time ago my wife and I were on a long haul flight and a priest of this diocese was on the flight dressed in designer gear. He did not know us. When we arrived at our destination he was met by a young man and they both stood kissing passionately in the terminal. It was the last straw for us and we have not been to Mass since. I do not mind be lectured to by people who practise what they preach but I will not be fodder for hypocrites.

    1. You're lucky you only had to watch that once and abroad. My priest has his "beau" here every week and tours the area with him shamelessly. I would not mind even if he was kind and pleasant to the rest of us. But he is remote and rude.

Any realistic suggestions as to what those of us disgusted by this proposal should do? Letters of protest to Trainor on past evidence are likely to be innefective, but if enough are sent, and copied to the head of prison service/justice minister?
£50k seems a very excessive salary for a relatively non demanding job, and should there not be some element of open competition for such a well paid post in line with other public appointments?
    Views and suggestions welcomed.

  3. You brought up the word ‘fornication’; In 1 Corinthians Paul was saying that if you were having a relationship with a prostitute you were committing fornication. You have to go back to the original conception of the word. In the old Canaanite religion they worshipped idols and idolatry is demon worship. In those temples they had male and female prostitutes and they were called sodomites. If someone wanted to be integrated into that cult they would have sex with one of these prostitutes and there would be the joining of that person’s spirit to the demonic spirit within that person. Therefore according to the Scriptures, fornication is prostitution, its pornography, its homosexuality. Fornication is like a man in the Corinthian church who had intercourse with his step mother, it was never interpreted in the Bible as sex between singles. Our bodies as Christians are temples of the Holy Spirit. What we are seeing through all these acts of immorality is a great defilement of the Body of Christ. These immoral priests are desecrating the body of Christ, talk about an unholy alliance.

And another thought: ......What is the precedent for this position? Is there or has there been such a post in the past? If it is a new position do we the tax paying public consider this an essential post on such a salary? When MLA ministers are being forced to find savings in even essential health, social services and education budgets, what is the justification for using public money to fund such a post?
I've noted that in the past +Pat ministered to prisoners, and bear in mind that in past days the prison population was probably much greater, so if this is, as I suspect, a new post, hard logic must demand an explanation beyond accomodating the RC church's need to find a 'bolthole' for this shoddy semblance of a pastor.

    1. Dear MMM, There is no open competition for the government posts of prison or hospital chaplains - the leaders of the 4 main churches - RC, COI, Pressies and Methodists have it in their complete gift !!!

I have ministered to prisoners and hospital patients for nearly 40 years and have never asked for or received payment.

In fact EVERY FRIDAY presently I am an unpaid hospital volunteer. I regard this work as my solemn duty both from a humanist and spiritual point of view.

It is a DISGRACE that church leaders can hand jobs like these to whoever they wish - however they have behaved.

    2. MMM, you asked about making representations to Government about Father Dallat's appointment.

On Friday afternoon I sent the following email to the Permanent Secretary of the NI Dept of Justice - Mr Nick Perry:

NOMINATION OF FATHER CIARAN DALLAT AS CHAPLAIN TO HMP MAGHABERRY

      phil.gregg@dojni.x.gsi.gov.uk

      Mr. Nick Perry
      Permanent Secretary.
      DOJ
      N. IRELAND.

      Dear Mr Perry,

I wanted to write to you about the nomination of Father Ciaran Dallat to be a Roman Catholic chaplain at HMP Maghaberry.

Recently, Father Dallat, who is supposed to be celibate, has been in the media for taking sexual advantage of a parishioner and making her pregnant. He was taken off duty by the RC Bishop of Down and Connor - Bishop Noel Treanor.

Due to widespread public disquiet about Father Dallat's suitability to care for vulnerable adults Bishop Treanor has not been able to appoint him to a parish.

He now proposes to send Father Dallat to Maghaberry as chaplain!

As you will be aware prisons are full of vulnerable people and also Father Dallat will have access to prisoners wives, girlfriends and families.

He has a long term reputation among the clergy for "hitting" on vulnerable women.

I believe that his proposed appointment to Maghaberry is very ill advised.

I am writing to inform you of this most serious situation and to ask you to give the whole matter of his appointment the most grave consideration.

I am enclosing some press clippings for your information.

      Sincerely yours,

      Pat Buckley

      Bishop Pat Buckley

    3. Pat, in keeping with Bishop Treanor's thinking can we expect the following diocesan appointments to be made:

      1. FR JAMES DONAGHY to be appointed to the Diocesan Child Protection Committee.

      2. FR DANNY CURRAN to be appointed as Diocesan Boys Primary School Advisor.

      3. FR GORDON McKINSTRY to be appointed as administrator of the Diocesan Mother and Baby Home.

      4. FR CONLETH BYRNE to be appointed Diocesan Treasurer.

      etc................

    4. If £50,000 pa is the going rate for a priest who seduces a woman parishioner what are the going rates in Down and Connor for the following:

      - A priest having sex with one man?
      - A priest having sex with more than 1 man?
      - A priest having sex with more than 1 woman?
      - A priest soliciting in a public toilet?
      - A priest who indulges in cross dressing?
      - A priest committing the act of Onanism?

I think that the rates for these extra pastoral acts should be published in the diocesan web site.

Otherwise how will priests be able to complete their tax returns accurately?

  5. Thank you for the contact details above, Pat. Also useful would be those of the Down and Connor vocation director, because I want to sign up.
Actually I recently advised a friend going to seminary to stock up on underwear since they would almost certainly go missing in the laundry.
And who knows, the PP's suggestions of unsuitable appointments above may come to pass - stranger things have happened!

  6. If further proof was needed that D&C is rotten to the core this is it. If this man (Dallat) worked in the medical profession, nursing, the law (including the police) or any form of professional caring organisation and was found guilty of taking advantage of a vulnerable adult then he would almost certainly have been drummed out for life. Sick decision. If it goes "tits up" will Treanor consider his position?

  9. I don't think many parishioners of a west Belfast parish would put "our dear bishop" in the same sentence when referring to Bishop Dallat !. There were very serious issues brought to his attention regarding the protection of children in a local school . He failed to act on them untill forced to.

    1. I didn't know that Bp Dallat was flaky on child protection.

    2. Big Micky Dallat was PP of St Paul's during Danny Curran's reign of terror. He also sat on his hands over abuse in a local school, until forced to act.

Big Mick's motto was: 'a nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse'. He lived his life according to the cleric's Golden Rule: 'whatever you say, say nothin''.

He applied these principles to his own personal and spiritual life, accepting episcopal consecration whilst enjoying the benefits of concubinage and the pleasures of fornicating.

At least he, unlike the Nephew, was monogamous: Mick's Micky's attention were directed towards one woman (as far as we know).

PS - Ciaran's salary: he will only get what the average CC gets (£20,000 p.a). The rest of the money (the £50,000 Chaplain's salary) goes into the central fund, which is divided equally between all the priests, so that those in the financially better off parishes have no advantage over priests in "poorer" parishes. 10. This came to light in the mid eighties, Pat as you know, very few people got through the door of parochial houses unless invited in those days. Parish priests could stay as isolated from parishioners as they wanted to. He treated this situation with no urgency which compounded the suffering of families.

    1. Mickey Dallat was not able to challenge one form of "irregularity" because he himself was involved in another form of "irregularity" himself.

  11. There is going to be some fun, if other women, who have been used by Ciaran, come forward now!

Might I add a few suggestions for +Noel's considerations as regards other suitable appointments?

Unfortunately, Jimmy Donaghy and Danny Curran have been dismissed by the Pope, so they can't be appointed anywhere. More's the pity: Jimmy would have made a great spiritual director and mentor to the seminarians; and Danny could have been put in charge of the diocese's Young Boys' Temperance Society.

However, all is not lost: Fr Joe McGuigan could be given charge of outreach to homeless young men. He could personally oversee them having a hot shower, a good meal and a warm bed for the night.

Fr John McCallum to be nominated diocesan IT expert and webmaster.

Fr Paul Symonds to be diocesan podiatrist to seminarians and the newly ordained. We want to keep those young feet fresh and healthy, after all: 'how lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news'.

And lastly, Fr Hugh Kennedy to be chaplain to youngsters at University in London. Oh, hold on .... that's right.... that appointment has already been made.... Phew!

Some would say he has neither understanding nor interest in public opinion. To which others might add that he is naively gullible. But perhaps, some would argue it's just that he follows the traditional modus operandi of RC Irish bishops in believing that whatever he does is right by reason of his episcopal office.
I would accept that all of these factors operate with Bishop Trainor, and to them I'd add the 'Rule of Optimism' so pre-eminently found in 'caring professions'. Do look it up, but in simple terms, it is an assumption without firm evidence, that things have changed/will change for the better.
I'm sure other traits and personal characteristics play a part:
.........Having blown his chances of further promotion with his ham fisted wrong headed attack on Ian Elliot's integrity (Thank you Judge McGuiness), and further compounded it with his 'own' (Dr Devanney) enquiry, this bishop with limited pastoral or human resource management experience is now stuck at the age of 65 in a job and place he does not like, and, I suspect, only concerned with the quieter life of rocking nobody's boat until he can slip off into retirement.

  13. Can a complaint not be made to the Home Office? I once went for a Chaplain job in HMP Buckley Hall in Rochdale and had to be checked by the Home Office. They gave me the green light but the RC Bishop of Salford knocked in back (fek him) because I was not laicised at the time-More B S

  14. He should be replaced by a person who has the determination and strength to knock these whips into shape. In no other organisation would their inability to carry out their duties be tolerated. The ones who fail to do their job properly should be given a 6 month period out in the real world earning their own keep.

  16. I think in a previous post regarding Father Dallat, I spoke of what would happen in any other profession where such behaviour had taken place. The behaviour ? Transgressing every professional boundary between the professional and a client, particularly in engaging in sexual relations. If a GP, a lawyer, a teacher - any professional - did such with somebody with whom he / she had a professional relationship, it would be deemed that such person was not fit to continue in the profession. It appears that Father Dallat has a track record of this kind of behaviour, and I am sure there is much more that has not come to light as of yet. I am dumbfounded that Bishop Treanor has resorted to discredited tactics - namely, sending the priest away for a bit of spiritual R & R, and then quietly trying to reintroduce him. Does he not realise from past experiences in the RC Church that Father Dallat will simply lie low for a while, but will then return to his old ways and continue to inflict damage on those around him, particularly vulnerable women who crave for some attention and affection, whom he will happily take advantage of under the guise of pastoral care and concern and satisfy his own needs at the expense of vulnerable people. This matter should be referred to the Safeguarding people in the Diocese, or in the State, so that Father Dallat will not have any further opportunity to use his profession, his priesthood, his privileged position, in order to take advantage of the vulnerable. Why can Bishop Treanor not see this ?

I am equally flabbergasted at the suggestion that Father Dallat should become a prison chaplain ! I am a prison chaplain in England, lay not ordained, and I know how vulnerable and fragile are so many people in prison. Father Dallat's modus operandi is to take advantage of the vulnerable, albeit under the guise of pastoral care, and I am sure in prison he will take advantage of those who are given in to his care. It may not be sexual advantage - it appears that Father Dallat is rampantly heterosexual and unless he has access to a female establishment there should not be too much sexual temptation. And, I hope people would have the sense to keep him away from the women prisoners with his track record. But....I would put my money on it that there will be lots of other ways that Father will be able to do favours for his charges. That will get him in to trouble in prison, where security and strict boundaries are essential. Father Dallat isn't good at boundaries, it appears.

So, what should happen to Father Dallat ? He should be removed from public ministry, and put in to a position where he has no contact with vulnerable people. Perhaps a position in Treanor Towers ? Shuffling paperwork ? Serving dinner parties ? Saying his prayers ?

  17. I share your anger, Pat, at what has happened. But it's hardly surprising, is it? Didn't Treanor spend all of that money renovating his episcopal pile...and then fail to answer questions about the amount he had spent and whether any of the money (and how
much of it) had come from Church funds? The man thinks he is above such mundane matters.

Catholics need to stop making financial contributions to the Church until these and other questions are satisfactorily answered.
