DIARMUID MARTIN - PONTIFICAL LATIN MASS IN KRAKOW
FROM THIS BLOG'S REPRESENTATIVE AT WORLD YOUTH DAY
DIARMUID DRESSES LIKE ARCHBISHOP LE LEFEBVRE |
The Archbishop of Dublin has celebrated a Pontifical High Mass in Latin for young people in Krakow for World Youth Day.
This was part of the cathechesis he was invited to give to young Polish people who love the Latin Mass.
IN NOMINE PATRIS................ |
I am glad that Diarmuid has been able to escape the Maynooth Crisis and go back 400 years and dress up like a medieval bishop.
DIARMUID WITH A YOUNG LACED ADMIRER |
Diarmuid reminds me of one of the old actresses in that film: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE. Dublin PP
ReplyDeleteMother Burke - eat your heart out yahoooooooo
ReplyDeleteDM should now send his Maynooth sems to Econe. No Grindr there!
DeleteWere some of the seminarians in maynooth not taken to task or shown the door for going to Latin mass.
ReplyDeleteThey were dismissed for kneeling at the Consecration, taking Communion on the tongue, kneeling for Communion and attending Latin Masses.
DeleteMaybe Tridentine tendencies are more dangerous than gay tendencies?
DeleteAh, you got in there before me Magda, Anon & Pat.! The difference is Archbishop Martin won't have spies running back to Maynooth, and tripping over their wagging tongues in their haste to tell on the seminarians who attended the Latin Mass. Hope Diarmuid got a free crash course in Latin in preparation for his High Mass in Krakow from some of his own dedicated parish priests.
ReplyDeleteI wonder was Ab M wearing the traditional red socks and a pair of those cute wee episcopal slippers. I am pleased to note that he has observed the correct procedure of walking with his crozier the "wrong way round" whilst celebrating Mass in another bishops diocese.
ReplyDeleteBut look ! No maniple?
Rumplestiltskin.
A bishop doesn't put on the maniple until later in the Mass.
DeleteI thought that in the Tradentine Rite the maniple was worn from the beginning by a bishop with the gloves being removed at the Offertory except in Solemn Requiems ??
ReplyDeleteRumplestiltskin
No, bishop puts on maniple after confiteor. Until then it is in the evangelarium, as you can see if you study the second picture above showing the prayers at the foot of the altar.
ReplyDeleteGuys this is IMPORTANT!
DeleteIt's vital so you MUST get it right!
"But all their works they do for to be seen by men: they make broad their phylacteries and lengthen the tassells of their garments"
