MAYNOOTH -"GORGEOUS" CHALLENGED

MAYNOOTH - "GORGEOUS" CHALLENGED

DEACON MICHAEL "GORGEOUS" BYRNE has received a direct challenge via this Blog from a current Maynooth seminarian to tell his archbishop - Diarmuid Martin of Dublin - the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

In a brave move, the man who admits to being a current seminarian and to have been on GRINDR says the following to Gorgeous:

"I've read this blog in recent days and I'm not shocked. Everyone knew about McElroy and Byrne. Their over the top piousity trying to mask their sexcapades has been laughable and their hypocrisy is sickening. I remember at the time of the marriage equality referendum and Byrne preaching for a NO vote. The twofacedness of him was sickening.

Byrne is a liar and when he is called into see the Archbishop of Dublin he will of course deny everything and lie through his teeth. As the Archbishop has already said people lie to him and threaten legal action.

So I am going to be patient and wait for Byrne's meeting with his Archbishop. After he denies and lies I will then send the Archbishop proof:

1. Screenshots of his Grindr profiles (yes profiles) with his photos and text.

2. Screenshots of his chats on Grindr with me and one other guy.

3. Photos of him in The George (courtesy of his mate's Facebook).

4. Photos of him at the Circuit Festival in Barcelona.

5. Another photo of him in Barcelona in a rather compromising position.

After the Archbishop views these he will be in no doubt and Byrne the liar will be exposed. The Archbishop can then interview a few of us here including CG who knows and has witnessed all of this here and in Barcelona. The only thing that hypocrites fear is being exposed.

Watching them leave social media in the past week is laughable/ Even Byrne's UK Valladolid mates (one was a fuck bud) Landers and Stanton have scurried off Facebook. I wonder why? It's time for your close up Byrne".

This is interesting not only because of what it says about Deacon Byrne but it also confirms:

- The existence of actively gay seminarians in Maynooth.

- Maynooth seminarians having accounts (sometimes more than one) on GRINDR.

- Sexual activity between Maynooth seminarians.

- The Barcelona stories.

- The attendance at gay clubs and bars (The George) of Maynooth seminarians.

- The fact that active gay seminarians are telling lies to their bishops.

- the hypocrisy of sexually active gay seminarians and priests preaching for a NO vote in the Gay Marriage Referendum.

- Active gay Maynooth seminarians closing down all their social media accounts in a panic.

AND:

Everything this Blog has been saying for weeks that has been denied by the Maynooth President Monsignor Connolly and the Irish Bishops !!!

I INVITE DEACON BYRNE TO RESPOND TO THIS CURRENT SEMINARIAN.

***** BREAKING NEWS - CATHOLIC CHURCH TRIES TO CENSOR THIS BLOG !!!!!

11 AM:  CHURCH REMOVES VIDEO OF SEMINARIANS FROM MY BLOG !!!!

WHAT AND WHO ARE THEY HIDING AND PROTECTING ?????

WANNA TAKE THIS ONE DOWN TOO?

DOWN AND CONNOR:

DRUMBO UPDATE: Yes Father Martin Kelly will be among at least 4 parish priests retiring within the next weeks or two.

Martin Kelly

There has been no report given to the Drumbo parishioners about the sacking of the parish Finance Committee or the activities about the selling of houses etc.

Obviously Bishop Treanon has some kind of contempt for the Drumbo parishioners :-(

But what's new about Irish bishops treating parishioners with contempt?

RASKARKIN UPDATE:

No news in Rasharkin about their disappeared parish priest Fr John Murray. We presume he is still in Spain with his housekeeper.

John Murray

His resignation will soon become official.

RANDALSTOWN:

Con Boyle

Rumour has it that Randalstown parish priest Fr Con Boyle is standing down as a parish priest in spite of the fact that he is only in his 60's?

DEAN EMERITUS KENNEDY:

The news from London about the former dean of St Peter's Cathedral is sad. Apparently he strikes a lonely figure in the British capital walking through its most posh streets.

Dean Emeritus Kennedy

He is inviting a lot of senion Westminster priests to posh restaurants but its getting him nowhere.

In fact we understand that he is not welcome in the cathedral dining room or as a lone Mass celebrant!

  1. I always thought he was a 'scruff' and 'growlr' guy. The topless photo of his 'friend' is lush :P. I say leave them to it though. They are both adults and must live with their conscience in the sight of God.

  3. Good to hear some news from d&c . With a those priests retiring noel may have to do his diocese changes early . He surely can't borrow anymore reds . Apparently the good dean was offered p.p in coleraine but he told noel to shove it , perhaps that was a mistake on his part

Noel Treanor is considering installing Sacramental ATMs in some churches :-)

    2. The big Dean is far too talented to be a mere PP in a town like Coleraine.

He has a particular charism for dealing with young men of a certain type.

His work here is done. Send him to Gaynooth. Those young bucks obviously need a firm hand.

  5. Why is Fr Con Boyle standing down? From experience on this blog a priest standing down isn't a good sign?

  6. If the seminarian is in possession of the information he claims to have about this Deacon, then he has an obligation to present to it to the Archbishop of Dublin IMMEDIATELY! Why is he waiting?

If this Deacon has been behaving as alleged then he cannot, under any circumstances, proceed to priestly ordination and the canonical procedure to dismiss him from the clerical state must be instigated promptly.

But if this young man is the innocent victim of a malicious and hate=driven campaign, then Heaven help those who are responsible!

What has clearly emerged, in recent weeks and days, is a picture of a deeply dysfunctional seminary community in Maynooth.

When I was in Maynooth there were hundreds of students. There were problems, of course, things were not perfect but there was nothing like what is being described here and in the media.

The Deans were flawed men like all of us but they were authentic men of prayer who knew how to do their job.

How is it, in such a small seminary community, that the current Deans are unable to figure out exactly what is going on and the one(s), in particular, who are at the root of all this disturbance and nastiness?

The people in my parish are truly disturbed by all this. "What on earth is happening in Maynooth, Fr?", they are asking. Those men in the rarified atmosphere in Maynooth, living in their ivory towers, do not have to face the ordinary faithful Catholics each day; but I, and those like me, DO!

This is ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL! Get it sorted!

    Parish Priest.

    1. I agree with the comment above (11.51). I wonder that the contributor who claims to have all this evidence, who claims to have interacted with the Deacon on Grindr and who then wants to withhold the alleged evidence until some greater impact, is EQUALLY unsuited to holy orders. And should it be disproven, I hope that this accuser would be dismissed himself. Whether true or not, it is a particularly nasty way to approach the issue.

The lack of charity and fraternity among this cohort is galling. Seminaries can work well when they are genuine Christian communities, but perhaps there will always be a contingent who have their focus in the wrong place.

    2. Fr, I'm pretty certain the Deans in your day did not transgress boundaries by prying into confessional matters with students.

I would hazard a guess too that no student ever reported any of them to the Gardai.

The Directors of Formation (as they are called now - not Deans) are a HUGE part of the problem. The Administration is rotten.

Maynooth needs a clearing out of unworthy seminarians and those on the staff, who are unfit for purpose, need to be also removed.

Until that happens, the problems will continue.

  8. From my interaction with Michael he was one of the nicest guys in Maynooth. Always kind and would always offer words of support. It is horrible to see such articles written about him. A lot of insecure people were always jealous of him and it looks to me like they are pointing the finger at him to get attention off themselves. I wish all of this venomous back and forth slander would stop. It is hurting good people. This could lead a vulnerable person to suicide if you keep this gay witch hunt going Pat.

    2. I agree. The issue has been raised. Allow things to happen in God's time. Things can only change. I was a seminarian who more than once contemplated suicide after being abused. I wasn't being believed and found myself in a very dark place. I hope Michael, Kevin and the others don't end up like me as a result of this blog. Could a ceasefire be called?

  11. I find it interesting that this 'seminarian' is judging Michael and others of double standards when he admits he is on Grindr and sees nothing wrong with that? It seems some people are out to get sean, michael and kevin. It all comes down to jealousy. All very capable men in my opinion.

  12. Rome deteriorated with a certain priest in charge of formation. Now Maynooth has deteriorated to a shocking level since he began on the formation team there in 2007.

The seminarians and priests who are ACTIVELY (note I said actively) homosexual are doing untold damage to the Irish Church with their myriad lies and hypocrisy. As John Drennan said recently in a piece in the Daily Mail re Maynooth, their moral and psychological integrity has been destroyed by the endless lies and dissimulation.

The above culprits need to be stood down from their positions; or the Irish Church will be razed to the ground by God.

    1. Wow! 'Razed to the ground by God'? Let's just remember that - as serious as this subject is - there are many, many good people, lay, religious and clergy, who are doing good work building God's Kingdom. We're not going to let the Light go out because of those who don't have their act together around us.

  16. The whole country knows about Maynooth at this stage - never mind the dogs on the street! How many more good seminarians, priests (Fr McGinnity, Fr Marsden) and lecturers (Mark Dooley) will be lost to the Irish formation system.

Maynooth is a morass. Its henchmen and defenders can try to spread all the deception and distractions they like - the Irish people are not being fooled any longer.

I would say to all the dissimulating priests and seminarians in Maynooth: GROW A PAIR, GET OUT AND ACTUALLY WORK FOR A LIVING LIKE THE VAST MAJORITY OF IRISH PEOPLE!

PS: You can actually get married now in Ireland if you are gay.

Are they not moral terrorists too?

Would Pope Francis approve of and turn a blind eye to the things going on in Maynooth?

If he would then he is in no position to pronounce on any aspect of morality.

  18. Read the following in a pinknews article today. Maybe it also explains Maynooth's way of thinking on celibacy.

'It’s reported that when the victim confronted the priest over his vow of celibacy, he said: “Oh, that just means that you’re not married.”'

    1. They should appoint Mgr McGovern to the staff of Gaynooth. He would be right at home with his vision of priesthood and he would be a good mentor to some of the students. Someone should maybe tell some of these seminarians that they would make more money in the gay porn industry than they would make in the priesthood.
