AMY REPORTS BLOG TO PSNI?

AMY GOES TO PSNI OVER BLOG:

AMY MARTIN of Armagh has reported this Blog to the PSNI in Armagh.

AMY AND RORY

She got her Safeguarding person - AIDAN GORDON to report an anonymous comment published on the Blog of 25th of November with regard to the RORY COYLE case.

AIDAN GORDON

The anonymous comment using FIGURATIVE, ALLEGORICAL AND METAPHORICAL
LANGUAGE was saying that the corruption in Armagh and the RC Church in general should be resisted and rooted out. He used the words: "taking the flame thrower".

I think she's suggesting that this Blog allows incitement to hatred. But I don't know.

I thought that Cackle Daly was petty in trying to use the RUC to evict me - which they refused to get involved in - but now Amy takes the gold medal for pettiness in using the DIOCESAN SAFEGUARDING PERSON - who is there to protect children and vulnerable adults being abused being abused by bishops, priests and others in the Church - to go to the PSNI about perfectly valid criticisms of him on an open, honest and straight talking Blog.

And while I have every respect for the police I am asking myself today should they not be using their limited resources elsewhere?

I am also surprised that AMY is breaking Canon Law by resorting to the civil authorities in the first instance about a concern he has with a fellow bishop and cleric.

I heard about Amy's complaint to the police yesterday morning when I got a call from the PSNI when I was in a remote location in Donegal with a small group of priests on a short retreat.

My immediate reaction was that the Armagh Diocesan Safeguarding person would be better employed examining the case of Father Rory Coyle exposing himself to a former school boy to whom he was chaplain.

And that is not to mention the ongoing case of Father X and his young DUP paramour ?

And then there is the massive question of the scandals at the National Seminary at Maynooth.

I thought that it was only in countries like Saudi Arabia that the religious leaders use the police to control what the citizens can say.

Amy and others want to shut down the Blog.

But dont have the courage to tackle us directly.

So they use others.

I will of course report on my chat with the PSNI.

DEACON MICHAEL GORGEOUS BYRNE :

I think we all need to be aware that as well as the majority of comments on this Blog that are from sincere comment makers there will be a certain amount of the publication of misinformation by various sides.

The following comments I received from a trusted source:

  • NEW INFO IN FROM ROMAN SOURCE:

before sending G to room DM interviewed him one to one. He put allegations to G who denied everything.DM then asked G if he would mind his phone being examined - G called his bluff and said of course not taking phone out and passing it to D. D then said its ok that won't be necessary. After meeting G was boasting to friends how he got one over on AB.

  • How many phones, tablets, lap tops has MB?

Could DM be that stupid / gullable?

  • NEW INFO FROM DUBLIN PRIEST WHO CLAIMS MAYNOOTH COUNCIL WANTED TO DISMISS MB BUT

Seminary council in Maynooth had asked archbishop for G to leave because they thought he was too immature. Loud argument was overheard by several people one day between member of seminary council and a priest from Dublin. Dublin priest was heard to say words along the line of "let me make it very clear the archbishop is not suggesting you keep him (Georgeous) he is TELLING you that you will be keeping him"

    WHATS DM' GAME ?????

  • I would advise people to be VERY WARY of comments supporting Gorgeous.

They are very likely from him and his various cohorts etc.

    1. Well, if they don't like the 'flame thrower' analogy, how about adopting the Trump mantra, 'drain the swamp'? Starting with the Bishops themselves.

It's obvious, to quote Cpl Jones, that the Bishops "don't like it up 'em". They like to give it, but they can't take it, considering themselves far too far up the food chain to have to take note of criticism from the people who keep them, and their clergy, in the style to which they have become accustomed.

Keep needling away at them Bishop Pat, and other contributors. It is only when they feel the uncomfortable pebble in their shoe, or wherever, that they might start to think about things seriously, and realise that people are becoming increasingly fed up with their posturing and their antics.

    3. Good morning to you Pat.

It is abhorrent beyond measure that AB Eamom Martin is now resorting to reporting your blog to the PSNI when he is allowing criminals to run riot in his seminaries and the Irish Church.

I know for a fact that AB Eamon has received many complaints from good, genuine people about Maynooth recently. And how did he respond? He responded with a generic, insipid, laughable response that he was also very concerned with priestly formation.

He has done absolutely nothing with regard to the disaster that is Maynooth. He is prepared to just stick his head in the sand and label all the complainers as "trouble-makers" or "rigid" or "conservative catholics".

So AB Eamon are Fr David Marsden (a fine priest), Mark Dooley (the best philosphy lecturer when in Maynooth and a man who sacrificed his position when reporting the scandals there) Dr Phelim Donnelly (by all accounts an excellent seminarian who gave up a good career to answer God's call) and countless excellent seminarians evicted for having courage and conviction all troublemakers?

My faith is completely destroyed in the people holding positions of power in the RC Church here. The bishops will not even believe or consider plain photographic evidence, witness reports, plunging seminarian numbers, scandal after scandal, the list goes on to infinitude.

And to top it all of, Eamon Martin goes running to the PSNI with little girly tittle tattles about a metaphorical comment on your blog.

I am convinced Pat that AB Eamon Martin is protecting his own kind. As is AB Diarmuid Martin. I am convinced that both of them are gay. Not that it makes any difference, but it is serious if they are compromised in any way and are allowing their orientation to cloud their judgement on some very dangerous people in the Church here.

      2. AB Diarmuid Martin was ruthless with regard to legacy abuse issues when he became Archbishop of Dublin.

However, his hesitancy regarding Byrne and following through on his promises about priestly formation, as well as all the moving around of some unsavoury characters in his Archdiocese betray the fact that he is not the fearless purger of abuse in the Church that he likes to present himself as being to the media

    7. A friend fairly high up in a multinational once told me of a mantra they had been taught on a business leadership course. One can take these things with a pinch of salt as one usually does with business mottos and such training courses though in this case I think it was a very clear and perceptive observation. That is, first rate managers usually pick first rate people to be their subordinates as they realise the load has to be shared and they can do with all the intelligence and originality available. Second rate managers, on the other hand, select third rate subordinates as they are afraid of potential competition and want to keep their own positions secure as what is important for them is their own job security rather than the greater good of the company. I feel that this is exactly the same in the Irish Church in its administration, its pool of clerical talent and its future reserves of talent in the number and quality of seminarians. Of course, these problems are very much a product of secularism and modernity though the Roman and Irish Church do seem to unnecessarily compound all these problems even more by their recruitment and promotion practices. What a farce. It's the bishops, with their moving paedo priests around, the wounded healer, confidentiality agreements, the priests such as Brendan Smyth and Jack McCabe which have provoked no end of hatred for the Irish church. And to this we can add the disgust expressed here about the antics of Coyle, Marshall, King Puck, and the star of the show, Gorgeous.

He wanted to use the Church for his degree because his family lost their business. Just google it. He was caught out in the end and the church did not pay for his degree. Then his friend from derry outed and embarrassed a gay young guy who was his 'best' friend. Thats why he was kicked out. It was nothing to do with a gay group.

He is not in the seminary, and what he did while he was there is not your business nor is it mine. There is a line to be drawn between what is in the public interest (and therefore might be published) and what is private information - this story does not pass the public interest test. It is disappointing because this blog comes up with some great stuff, then it descends into a gossipy National Enquirer type farce.

    15. I was out with my work colleagues over Christmas who all have no time for the Church after the sex-abuse scandals and the recent "goings-on". They view Maynooth as a hiding ground for gays and weirdos. While this is not necessarily a completely fair analysis, there is only a tiny minority of sound, balanced and genuine seminarians there.

Sarah McDonald said the following yesterday in the Irish Independent:

"No matter what spin the bishops give their ad limina visit in Rome, the crisis of priesthood in the Irish Church is irrefutable.

This latest tawdry affair underlines the extent to which there is something deeply wrong with the calibre of young men currently attracted to the priesthood.

It begs the question, does a dysfunctional system create dysfunctional people, or do dysfunctional people create a dysfunctional system?"

In response to Sarah I would say that there is a symbiotic relationship between the dysfunctional people in Maynooth and the dated dysfunctional system that is St Patrick's Seminary formation process. Characters like Byrne, Jones, Derwin, Coyle, Marshall, McElroy etc. are enabled and protected by the Seminary Council who are themselves dysfunctional, institutionalised products of a dysfunctional system.

When the grey heads and blue rinses disappear from the pews over the next decade, it is only then that the bishops will regret that they did not take action sooner on Maynooth when they see tumbleweed blowing through their churches with not a body in sight.

That is if the bishops really care or have any sense of a conscience or desire of handing on the Faith.

      3. Based on the comments and accounts here about current seminarians, Sarah McDonald is dead right about their low calibre. She also suggested sending seminarians to work with the poor in order to really test their vocations. For the likes of Byrne, the priesthood is all about posing in pictures with clerical garb, and receiving gifts from sugar-daddies as benefits in kind for sexual favours given. And worse according to yesterday's Indo article.

      5. It's amazing, Anon.13:22 how Declan (the Queen as you call him) is able to get to Latin Mass in Dublin on Saturdays, given that he's in Rome this past year and a half. Last I heard, Fr. Marsden isn't in the country either, so it's probably a bit difficult for him to join them for breakfast. And last time I checked, neither going to Mass nor having breakfast with a priest were morally questionable acts - and you want Pat to see "the connections" as if they were on a par with the actions and deceptions of the Grindr clerics!

Wonder too how you know they "love dressing up in lace" since lace is practically banned in Maynooth - plain surplices only on the two days or so that Maynooth seminarians actually wear the soutane.

Vicious bitches? Some might apply that term to those who write blatant untruths, and deflect from the real issue by trying to implicate people in this mess simply because the Mass nourishes them spiritually (as the Mass should nourish every Catholic spiritually). I suppose the seminarians who pray the rosary are really the ones behind the disgrace that is Maynooth seminary, are they?

The mention of Trehy (Clogher diocese) recalls two memories. The first is a foursome fundraiser climb up Croagh Patrick. The second is Bishop Joseph "Joe" Duffy. He went straight from curate to bishop. An autustic gaelige scholar more suited to a library than a parish. But his chief crime was the handling of the Fr John "Jack" McCabe. He was one of the priest teachers at St Michael's College, Enniskillen, in his day still a boarding school. Went to prison for grooming a 14 year old, admittedly not a pupil at the school, but Jack had him stay there overnight. Joe, who squatted on the Clogher cathedra for decades, wreckovating Monaghan cathedral along the way, deployed the usual tactic. When the victim's family complained the boul Joe didn't move Jack to the nearest RUC barracks. A nice wee parish was got for Jack. These episcopal enablers should be arrested as accessories or under the legal principle of joint enterprise.

All that feminised sacrificial offering nonsense downplayed in favour of those masculine flowing nighties they call vestments.

      6. Don't worry. I am aware. So are most others.

Former seminarians in Civvy Street are different that current seminarians.

As far as I am concerned until the Roman Church which is part of institutionalised Christianity changes its rules ALL seminarians are called to be SEXUALLY INACTIVE.

The ones who are not - gay or straight - according to their own rules should LEAVE or be THROWN OUT.

        Its that simple.

      9. 14:43, you're obviously a liturgical snob, who looks down his beak at those who don't appreciate his taste in liturgy and music.

What has your attitude to do with Christ? You are proof that liturgical form, whether traditionalist or not, has no bearing on a person's character: their level of Christian love.

Why don't you forget about form and concentrate instead on substance...on what really matters: Do I show love to fellow human beings?

Love isn't imparted by liturgy, but by Christ's spirit: the Holy Spirit.

        Delete
      10. @15.40, on the basis of my liturgical preferences, you have in your heart judged that I am a person who does not demonstrate Christ's love? How did you arrive at that conclusion? And in so judging on the basis of nothing, what love have you shown? Let me help you out - it is on the basis of YOUR prejudice.

The Mass is a convocation of God. God commands us to come to Mass to worship Him. It is not there to allow us, ministerial priest or common priest, to express our personality. Its sole function is the worship of God, and a happy side-effect of such glorification is that we are blessed when instead of focusing on the distractions of vain priests imparting their personalities, our hearts, souls and minds are lifted to heaven.

Having our spirits so lifted, we are then granted grace which assists us and helps us to live out the moral life taught by Our Lord and to love others. For you, it appears that the love of God and a desire to worship Him in a worthy manner is somehow separated from the love of others. For you to assert that a desire to worship God as God has asked (indeed, commanded) us to worship Him, and that the Liturgy is a mere personal preference is absurd.

Such glorification of God does not require an attachment to the 1962 liturgical books. But if you are asking me to endorse the clown Masses, liturgical dancing, the banal and tedious liturgies that drive people away from a love of God and their fellow man - that, I cannot do.

        Delete
      11. As I said, you're a 'liturgical snob'. Snobbery, of any sort, does not equate with the love we are expected, as Christians, to show all.

Snobbery does not, and cannot, accept that all are equal in the sight of Christ because, for whatever reason, it holds some in disdain. Where is the love Christ 'COMMANDED' (your preferred word) expressed here?

You clearly have preference for a certain liturgical form; nothing wrong in that. But there is something seriously wrong in denouncing other preferred liturgical forms as 'clown Masses, liturgical dancing, the banal and tedious liturgies that drive people away from a love of God and their fellow man...' Are these preferences disallowed? Is it just you and your kind who should be permitted to pick and choose forms of worship? And how do you know that those other forms of worship are themselves driving people away from God? You know nothing of the kind, but prefer to think it so. And you accuse me of prejudice?

As for 'clown' Masses? Wow! I'm sure that one will please Jesus. It's the first time I've heard a traditionalist Catholic (who invariably present themselves as Christ's most loyal disciples) describe Jesus' self-sacrifice as clownish. Do you now understand why I called you out on love? If this is how your preference for traditionalist liturgy inspires you to think of Christ's redemptive death, then you really are drawn by form rather than by substance: by what really matters, love. Or are you arrogant enough to believe that only your preferred commemoration of the Last Supper is sacramentally valid?

As for your uninformed idea that God commands we worship him in a certain way (which for you, of course, is in a traditionalist manner), go back to the Gospel; read it and reflect on it. When Jesus instructed (note 'instructed', not 'commanded'. You traditionalists love dictatorship.), he did so as the JEWISH RITE OF PASSOVER. So why aren't you advocating this? Oh, I see: it isn't your preferred liturgical form, is it? So much for your observance of God's 'commands'.

        Delete
      12. I'm a liturgical snob, you're a clown. Google 'clown Mass' to enlighten yourself. You seriously thought that was what I meant by a 'clown Mass'? Catch yourself on. I think that like Arlene you have had your love glasses on, and they have distorted reality. As for love, you aren't showing any, so get off your rather judgemental high horse.

        Delete
      13. 19:12, I do know what 'Clown Mass' means. You, however, expressed the term in lower-case C, as 'clown Mass'; this means something very different, since it refers to ALL Masses under the new order, that is, post-Vatican 11 Masses.

'Clown Mass', properly speaking, refers to a Mass that was offered once...for circus clowns. It wasn't a disrespectful act, anymore that clerics who dress up in gorgeous vestments is a disrespectful act. However, the expression has been used by people like you to 'knock' the order of Mass post-Vatican 11.

So I'm a 'clown'. Again, wow! You're really piling on the love here. A model Christian. Truth is you're a nasty, intolerant, embittered someone who is 'hung up' on liturgical art forms rather than the love of Christ. May God help you.

        Delete
      14. You still do not appear to have bothered to undertake a google search and acquainted yourself with sacrilegious clown/Clown Masses. To help you along, Bishop Pat has himself lambasted this type of liturgy in a post in the latter part of last year. So the idea that only more orthodox Catholic like me (I am not a traditionalist) find the whole thing repulsive, is wide of the mark.

I can, however, see your loving attitude shining through the pedantry, the supercilious comments, the insistence on your personal liturgical preferences over the rubrics and traditions of the church, and the failure to note that I had earlier said that authentic liturgy did not entail an attachment to the 1962 liturgical books (that's "Pre-Vatican 2" to use the language of the hermeneutic of rupture brigade.

Learn some love, learn to love and trust in the wisdom of the Church in guiding the liturgy, learn some humility to know that you do not know better than the Church, and learn to be less supercilious. Then you can speak about love. At the moment, your words of love and your comments are not in sync. You speak as one desperate to point out the speck in the eye of the other, while having a plank in your own.

This last gasp of the 1980s liturgical crowd that is dying out rapidly really is exasperating. You have had your day, you failed the people of God, now make room for the future.

      15. You poor fool. I don't mean this disparagingly. I have come across so many like you on the 'net. People who chase after form rather than substance. People who are really latter-day Pharisees. But you will not see you fault! Therein lies moral culpability.

Remember you won't be asked, on Judgement Day, what particular liturgical form you preferred, but whether you loved all, especially your enemies. NOTHING in your posts would draw me to Christ if I were a pagan.

By the way, the 'Church' is not the bishops, but the ENTIRE Body of Christ. You have made a certain model of church your God rather than the God of any model.

I have had my day? Now make room for the future? If it involves anything like your ecclesiology, then God help us all! It will represent the return of Pharisaism. And we know what Jesus thought of that, don't we? No, whoever you are. you're on a hiding to nothing. And thank God for it.

      16. I do have sympathy for your position, as I do understand how painful it must be to see your cherished positions challenged when you live within a theologically liberal echo-chamber and are unused to be being challenged. Liturgical committees all over the island are regularly in anguish when they learn that no-one wants their insipid man-made liturgies, but that God's people thirst after the divine, and recoil at the vanity of the Liturgical Terrorists. But as you scrabble around 'seeking new ways of doing Church' and adapting yourself to every fad and fashion that comes along, we will continue building, continue preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and holding fast to the tradition that was passed down to us by the Apostles and passing on what we have received.

    32. Surely the argument for G’s dismissal is the following:

DM is pro gay people but anti Grindr since it promotes a promiscuous lifestyle and attitude to sex.

G was on an app similar to Grindr and has allegedly been engaging in promiscuous activity with gentleman and in communication with them until relatively recently.

      Ergo DM must dismiss G.

Otherwise DM must go on RTE News and explain that he meant students for the priesthood in all other dioceses, except in his own diocese.

      ReplyDelete
      Replies
      1. Unless DM took the somewhat revolutionary position that merely because a man has sinned does not mean that he should be condemned for ever? Rather like Pope Francis in Amoris Laetitia, who has said obliquely that the divorced and civilly remarried who are in an objectively adulterous relationship should be allowed to take communion. I certainly do not subscribe to the Buckley Doctrine, which holds that if a man is a seminarian or priest and falls into sin, he should be shamed publicly and repeatedly and that he may never ever again or in the future exercise priestly ministry unless he has been subjected to the most abject humiliation, and from that position of abject humiliation, makes a craven apology to the supposedly merciful people of God. This doctrine is, of course, entirely erroneous and indeed hypocritical in its genesis. The origins of the Buckley Doctrine lie not in the tradition of the Church or the scriptures, but rather derive from a celebrity culture of public shaming prevalent in the early 21st century.

I don't think DM's position is too difficult to understand. Yesterday's revelations, if proven to be true, are another matter of course.

      2. Buckley has no problem with sinners getting new chances as he himself is and always has been a great sinner.

But Buckley has a problem with cynical and manipulative tom cats using priesthood as a social / sexual tool who use their looks etc to charm old birds off trees so that they can play with them and eventually destroy them and cast them aside.

Sinners are fine. However, people with a predisposition to using apps for promiscuous sex ought to be shown the door. The AB intimated that that's a rule of his on the News. Ergo G ought to be shown the door.

      5. Yet Buckley today permitted the printing of the name of a seminarian allegedly engaging in sexual activity with a fellow seminarian, but it was apparent that Buckley had never heard of him. 11. Yes, but the point is, you have publicly shamed a person with no knowledge of the facts. This is what I have called the Buckley Doctrine. I simply cannot understand how you can consider this defensible. Even if that story were true, all we have heard about was a situation of sin. Granted, that would not be appropriate. But is it appropriate for public consumption? Why was it acceptable to permit that person to be named?

There is a world of difference between a lapse, and those who persistently abuse the system. With respect, you have consistently failed to respect that difference.

    33. Pat - I clearly recall a situation in Pugin Hall with a senior cleric, from Dublin, challenging Paul Prior over the seminary council's decision to let Michael Byrne take some 'time-out'. But that was back in 2010. This conflict was witnessed by quite a few seminarians. Fr Liam Rigney, who represents the AB and Dublin seminarians at the time, approached Paul Prior at a table in Pugin Hall where we were all sitting having a break, and asked to talk with him. They went further up the hall but could be clearly heard as their exchange became heated. It appeared a council decision had been made preventing Byrne returning and resuming his studies the following year, citing "immaturity" as the reason. He obviously had fallen-out with Prior and Collins (?). Byrne also had made false allegations against other seminarians which proved to be lies and would not have helped his cause. In the end LR informed PP that the AB was not asking them to change their position but "telling" them. We all left at that stage as the atmosphere was very tense. We all assumed that Michael's Pro-Cathedral Mentor had contacted the AB to get the council's decision overturned. It appears it worked. AB unwisely tends to surrender to administrators and parish priests demands just to keep the peace. I'm sure he regrets this one? But this was in April/May 2010 after Michael had just completed his first year in Maynooth.

This story doesn't stack up Pat because Byrne was Prior's main mole when in Maynooth. I find it risible that Liam Rigney would confront Prior in Pugin Hall about such a matter.

I would be very doubtful of the above story Pat.

      4. My earlier post must have gone missing Pat!

I was saying that the above story cannot be true - or at least it did not happen when Anon.17:03 says - because Byrne was not in Maynooth at that stage. Anon.17:03's account means that Byrne would have entered Maynooth in August 2009, but he didn't till 2011. Also, Collins did not start as director of deformation until 2011.

By time Byrne started, Prior was senior director of deformation, so I don't know why a priest would have had a go at him. I also find it hard to believe that Fr Liam Rigney would challenge either Prior or Collins so publicly in such a place as Pugin Hall - the idea of Prior sitting around drinking tea with seminarians in Pugin is also hard to believe. I don't remember this incident being discussed among seminarians - if what Anon.17:03 is saying were true, this story would have been told and retold, particularly at the rate gossip spreads through the seminary.

    34. I know nothing more Pat, but Liam Rigney might be prepared to put some light on the story if contacted, as parish priest of Maynooth, he was appointed the Dublin seminarians 'handler', as it were. 36. The thing with Maynooth is that there is more smoke coming from that place than a bush fire in Oz. The bishops just need to close the frigging place down and conduct a comprehensive investigation of all current seminarians and staff members. They need to figure out exactly what is going on before admitting any more new seminarians and making any new appointments such as a new president etc.

Judging by many comments here one can easily infer that there is no prayerful or charitable spirit among seminarians, which in itself speaks volumes about their formation, example given by priests and the current atmosphere there.

The reports last year of there being a poisonous atmosphere in St Pat's certainly appears to be the case based on all the bitching and name calling seen here.

    45. 18:11 is partly right. These encounters between senior clerics do normally happen behind closed doors. What was omitted early is that Rigney had received an email from Prior, stating his refusal to accept the archdiocese's advise regarding Byrne. It was shortly after Rigney received the email, in his Maynooth home, when he came hunting for Prior. He was fuming and could not contain himself after sighting him - a red rag to a bull rather than a red herring story. Obviously his temper couldn't wait until they were alone? These outbursts of anger and pride rarely happened as these fellows had their masks fairly secured to their faces.

However, does anyone else remember another weak moment incident with Monsignor Hugh Connolly? The wonderful and competent Pugin Hall manageress Dervla, had accepted a booking from the North Campus to use Pugin Hall while the seminarians were dining, one evening. Somebody obviously went into the Professors Refectory, where Hughie dined and informed him of a packed house next door? The Apostolic Visitation had directed that seminarians and real people should not eat together in case of contamination concerns!

Rather than Hughie bringing her aside, in either her office or his the next day, he let rip at her in front of everybody in the hall. It was one of the most embarrassing and sad moments to witness, leaving her devastated and humiliated. He completely lost his temper over this trivial oversight - the booking was taken a year in advance. He roared and shouted like a spoilt brat - and he the President of the College. The place went silent. Temper vented, his fix for the day complete, Hughie stormed off in a huff. Hughie's behaviour was disgraceful. I know Prior and Collins were subject to these outbursts in his office - but that's another story. The projection of Hughie in the German bunker video clip is more real than people could imagine.

My point is that sometimes these fellows let their guard down, in public.

    52. ANY INFORMATION ABOUT SEMINARIAN BENNET

      - information about African seminarian called Bennet - now a priest in Australia

      ReplyDelete
    53. Some people on here this evening seem to think it should all be forgiven. BUT, many a seminarian was caught over the years in Maynooth and was shown the door. That is the way it was always dealt with.
Just because seminarians are now being caught with their trousers down by members of the public, commentators (possibly preiests) on here think they should be 'forgiven'.
How about the conference of bishops sets up a compensation fund for all the gays they allowed be shown the door in the past who were caught?
All it would take would be one to take a case and open the door for compensation for all.
The case of G and AB Martin could be used as an example.
Money usually talks as far as the bishops are concerned

      3. My theory is that someone with something to hide is trying to avert your attention because you are getting too close Pat.
Earlier they tried to defame DH and others but after that was shown to be a red herring they decided to throw you someone else.
Earlier they used the name 'P. Trehy' as a cover, now they're making it look like it's one of Conan's friends attacking Ronan.
        Don't fall for it Pat!

    55. SEX WITH NUN IN CARLOW?

Maybe just ask if anyone has info about nun in Carlow caught having sex

      ReplyDelete
    56. Yes Pat, XXXXXXXXCCC was a male prostitute before coming to Ireland, and XXXXXXXXX fought tooth and nail for him to get into Maynooth. XXXXXXX and XXXXXXXX were very close in the seminary. XXXXXXXX was eventually kicked out of Maynooth and ended up in Australia.

      ReplyDelete
    57. I think the whole celibacy thing needs to be done away with. It is a natural urge and has what has destroyed the church. Let them be married and vocations will be back at a proper rate .

      ReplyDelete
    58. No - XXXXX used to talk about money he earned from priests and when in Rome bishops but would not give names - I think he was kicked out over sex with nun in Carlow but maybe some others have more detail

      ReplyDelete
    59. How could we get the various Bishops to publish accounts for their Diocese's to see where the money is spent and how much it is costing for their lordships to go to Rome for the week ( or longer )and where they stay ? Eg "rented apartments " etc

      ReplyDelete
    60. Yes, XXXXXXX got a nun pregnant in Carlow and sent her for an abortion. He bragged about this openly in the seminary. However, he was at it with men as well, and rumours abounded about him and XXXX. He was a male prostitute who had paid-for sex with men before entering Maynooth.

    61. Prior and his satellites have subjected you to a scurrilous campaign of distractions and red-herrings today Pat. Byrne has dropped PP in the shit big time this weekend.

You are getting very near the truth of the real cause of all the scandal in Maynooth.

Bennet was a sex addict and PP was his biggest defender in Maynooth.

    65. Bishop Pat, I criticised you earlier for publishing the names of seminarians caught having sex when (1) it had not been verified and (2) when there is no evidence of them misusing their position and (3) it was not established that it was a consistent habit. I stand by that. But I also said you do a lot of good work - and this is precisely the sort of situation where you do a great job. If this one is true, go after it and let's have this one defrocked.

        To use your own rules.
        1. It was verified by the silverdaddy
        2. abuse and misuse their position and hipocritical (going against the pope - hes not on for gays acting on their urges and also against the archbishop - he's not on for promiscuous apps).
and 3. there was photographic evidence and he was in contact with other people who he had given his number to before
SO back to G and DM - whats the story?

      3. Sorry Anonymous @22:23, I am fully behind the G story. Totally justified. That is not what I am discussing. Not all stories are the same. But thanks for the recap - there's been so many comments today it will help newcomers!

    66. I do understand. The points were raised in a spirit of fraternal correction and are well intentioned - you have shone a spotlight into that hell-hole of a seminary that damaged so many of us and ruined so many vocations. Some (though not all) of those seminarians discussed are only human too though :-)

      ReplyDelete
    67. XXXXX was also addicted to pornography and was known to rob money and books from seminarians' rooms. XXXXX;s shenanigans were well known among the seminarian community, but oddly the SC didn't seem to care. He spent much time with XXXXXX. Australia's loss is certainly Ireland's gain. He bragged about this poor nun that he made pregnant as if she was some trophy.
