DECEIT AND COVER UP

DECEIT AND COVER UP

YESTERDAY AND ALL WEEK THE IRISH CATHOLIC BISHOPS HAVE BEEN MEETING POPE FRANCIS AND OTHERS IN THE VATICAN TO REASSURE THEM THAT ALL IS WELL IN THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IN IRELAND !!!!

THIS IS THE WAFFLE AMY MARTIN READ TO THE POPE:

"Most Holy Father, Thank you for your invitation to the Holy See for our visit ‘ad limina apostolorum’, and for your warm welcome here today.  On behalf of the Irish Episcopal Conference, I offer sincere thanks to you and to those in the dicasteries of the Roman Curia who have engaged with us so positively this week in an open and constructive dialogue.
It is very special for us to have this opportunity to meet and have a discussion with you.
Holy Father, we bring you warm greetings of affection from the Catholic people of Ireland and thank you for the powerful witness you are giving to the world – and especially for your emphasis on mercy for those who are on the peripheries of Church and society.
In Ireland in recent years, despite enormous economic turmoil and hardship, the Irish people have remained generous in the works of mercy towards those who are often overlooked in our fast-paced society – including the poorest and most defenceless.  In this regard the Bishops of Ireland continue to promote the dignity of the life of the unborn, as well as that of the elderly, the sick and all who are vulnerable at any stage of their existence.
So much has changed for Church and society in Ireland in the ten years since our last ‘ad limina’ visit in 2006.  Since then we have been making determined efforts to safeguard children and vulnerable persons from abuse.  I assure you that it remains a priority of the Church in Ireland to acknowledge and learn from the past, and persevere in our efforts to bring healing to all those affected by the sinful and criminal acts of abuse.
Holy Father, your personal outreach to survivors of abuse is an inspiration for us as we continue to travel the path of penitence, reparation, healing and renewal.  The publication this morning in Belfast of Sir Anthony Hart’s Report into Historical Institutional Abuse in Northern Ireland reminds us that much work remains to be undertaken in this regard.
We thank you for honouring Ireland with the privilege of hosting the Ninth World Meeting of Families in Dublin, August 2018.  We look back with joy to June 2012 when the Fiftieth International Eucharistic Congress took place in Ireland, with the theme ‘Communion with Christ and with One Another’.  That was a joyful and grace-filled occasion for us.
Like the Eucharistic Congress, we see the World Meeting of Families as much more than a ‘once-off’ event.  We look to it, rather,  as a graced opportunity, a process by which we can celebrate and explore further the riches of the Church’s ‘Gospel of the Family’.  It shall be a catalyst for reflecting on the challenging pastoral manifesto you have set out for the universal church in your post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation ‘Amoris Laetitia’.
We take this opportunity to repeat our invitation to you to visit us in August 2018 – we promise you, as we say in Ireland, ‘céad míle fáilte’ – one hundred thousand welcomes!
The pastoral care of marriage and the family remains a priority for us.  In spite of various social changes and challenges, the ethic of family life remains strong in Ireland.  As pastors, we meet many different family situations and we admire the high ideals which mothers and fathers have for their children.  We also recognise the critical importance of the family to handing on of the faith, to the life of our parishes and as the fundamental building block for a safe and stable society.
We are therefore committed to ensuring that our Catholic centres of education assist parents and families and are places of dialogue and encounter with the ‘Joy of the Gospel’ of Jesus Christ.  We continue to hold the view that the presence of Catholic schools enhances, rather than undermines, true diversity and pluralism in the provision of education.
During our ‘ad limina’ visit we have been reflecting on vocations and on the well-being and ministry of our priests and religious.  In today’s culture many people struggle to comprehend how anyone can be called to a life of service to God in these ways.  We are working on how to help foster a culture of vocation in Ireland, and on how best our seminarians can be adequately formed for service as priests in contemporary Ireland.
The well-being of our priests is dear to all of us bishops.  We are aware that declining numbers of priests, their increased workload and ever more challenging pastoral situations has taken its toll on them.  We thank God today for their resilience, dedication and generosity, and for the kindness and support of the faithful.  We also thank God for the many shoots of new growth and renewal that are emerging in parishes and dioceses all over the country, especially in catechesis, lay involvement and pastoral outreach to the marginalised".

AMY Did you tell Pope Francis about FATHER RORY COYLE showing his face and genitals to a former Catholic school student?

Did you tell him about FATHER X and his young DUP lover?

Did you tell him about the MAYNOOTH that you support and GRINDR - SILVERDADDIES etc?

Did you show him Judge Hart's report on 73 YEARS OF SEXUAL ABUSE IN IRELAND overseen by the Hierarchy, priests and Nuns?

Of course you didn't - why would you.

Did you tell him that you reply to even the most serious complaints submitted to you with a CIRCULAR letter?

Did you tell him about GORGEOUS - KING PUCK and HORNY ANDY?

Did you tell Francis you have set the police on me?

And even if you did tell Francis & Co about these things would it have made any difference?

JUDGE HART'S REPORT

Shocking historical child abuse in NI outlined in report

Shocking instances of historical child abuse in institutions in Northern Ireland have been outlined in the findings of the region's four-year inquiry into mistreatment of residents.
Probe chairman Sir Anthony Hart announced the conclusions of the wide-ranging report in Belfast - a statement that was due to last in excess of two hours.
Judge Hart.abuse at sisters of Nazareth "Members of congregation knew but did nothing to stop them"
The retired judge is dealing with the 22 church, state and charity-run homes in sequence.
At the start of his statement, he said 189 former residents came forward from four homes run by nuns in the Sisters of Nazareth Order to make allegations of maltreatment.
He said some nuns engaged in "physical and emotional abuse" of children, with the "denigration and humiliation" of residents widespread.

Turning to a home run by the Catholic De La Salle order, Sir Anthony said children were subject to "excessive physical punishment" and fell victim to "physical assaults".
He said "systemic" physical, emotional and sexual abuse took place at the De La Salle run St Patrick's Training School in Belfast.
He said children were often humiliated, such as being stripped of their clothes and forced to stand naked.
Judge Hart. St Patrick's training school. "Systemic abuse. Humiliation, sexual abuse" cont'd
Sir Anthony said there was evidence of "corporal punishment" and staff sexually abusing girls at the Rathgael Training School in Bangor.
In regard to the Good Shepherd Sisters facilities in Belfast, Londonderry and Newry, the retired judge said there had been "unacceptable practices" of young girls being forced to do industrial work in the laundries.
In Lissue House, Lisburn, he said there was an unacceptable use of physical restraints, use of injections to sedate children, some children sexually abused and emotional abuse by "unfeeling" staff.
The inquiry also found failings by the Diocese of Down and Connor, the County Welfare Authorities/Health and Social Services Board, the Ministry of Home Affairs/ Department of Health and Social Services and local and statutory authorities.
Judge Hart. Ministry of home affairs and social services "universially ignored" inspections at homes.
The inquiry also investigated the events at the notorious boys' home at Kincora in East Belfast.
It investigated persistent claims that intelligence agencies covered up the crimes committed by a paedophile ring in the home in the 1970s in order to blackmail some alleged high-profile abusers from within the British Establishment.
Sir Anthony said there is "no credible evidence" to support allegations that a such a paedophile ring existed.

Kincora Boys' Home in east Belfast pictured.
Ahead of outlining his conclusions on the home, Sir Anthony said the Government's assurance that all files and evidence would be given to the inquiry had been "honoured".
Sir Anthony said police investigations into Kincora in the mid-1970s were "inept, inadequate and far from thorough".
He said authorities and police in Belfast were guilty of a "catalogue of failures" and said if a proper investigation had been undertaken many victims might have been spared.
Concluding his findings, Sir Anthony outlined recommendations made in the report.
He said that hundreds of victims should be offered a tax-free lump sum compensation payment.
The inquiry chair also said the Northern Ireland Executive and those institutions which ran homes where abuse took place should offer a “wholehearted and unconditional” apology to those victims.
He also called for a permanent memorial at Stormont Estate.

  1. Hypocrites, sadducees, pharisees, take your pick. Would writing to the Pope en masse be any help? Probably not. I feel so powerless to do anything. Some of these men have caused untold mischief. They've perpetrated injustices against priests and laity alike. They pay lip service to victims of abuse. They are untouchables. It saddens me.

  3. The pastoral care of marriage and the family remains a priority for them.if the family was a priority you would be protecting children who are part of a Family. You would also stop byrne and others in Maynooth from doing what they are doing if you cared about the family so that they will not be a danger to Kids, Teens in the future. You Clowns would also do something about the priests who live a life contrary to the gospel and a Vocation. Yous are such a bunch of fucked up liars. Deceitful hypocrites, two faced manipulators and God help yous all when you all meet your maker face to face on the day of judgement. The Irish Church is dead. No longer exists. Whores of babylon. Burn in hell they all will.

  4. I'm so angry about all of this evil, especially in light of Archbishop Eamon Martin's sycophantic and self-congratulatory address to Pope Francis, that I fear I might overstep a legal boundary, Bishop Pat, and land you in even more trouble withe the PSNI. So I shall be circumspect and brief. Telling any of these atrocious matters to Pope Francis is more or less a waste of time and hope, since Francis has already declared himself a 'loyal son of the 'Church'. In practice, we know what this means: fidelity to the INSTITUTIONAL Church. Yes, he has taken token action against certain clerics, but he has gone nowhere near far enough to dredge the priesthood of the moral sludge that impedes the flow of God's grace.

Reading 'Amy Martin's' "report" on the state of the Irish church defies any sense of credibility, balance, or objectivity. It's opaque, obsequious fawning hypocrisy gags in my throat.
Don't know where or how you obtained it from Pat, but fair play to you for sharing it. For it aptly portrays the cloud cuckoo land inhabited by the Irish episcopate. And I counted 30+ bishops in your two photos. Does the declining congregation of Irish catholics really need 30+ bishops?
As has been said so many times before: stop contributing to any form of collection that maintains the Irish clerical 'mistution'. (My own word for a misfunctional institution)

Really Gorgeous and his ilk are not the problem, but rather their bishops who allow them to thrive.
Exactly as in the case of the Child Sexual Abuse scandal. Yes there were abusers. But worse, there were their enablers, who moved them around for decades, so that more victims were made available to them.

    Truly disgusting.

    1. Yup, I'm afraid that's the way it is 10:11. Maynooth is now almost an exclusively gay club. The Irish church shall be effaced from the face of the country in the years to come.

If there are tiny green shoots appearing elsewhere in the Church here, it is despite those dopes of bishops, and not because of them or what Maynooth is producing.

The Newman College will provide the only hope for anyone seeking a truly Catholic education in Ireland, and will serve as a counterbalance to the Maynooth madhouse.

The bishops are just not prepared to to tackle their Vatican. And Maynooth is even more corrupt and rotten than the Vatican itself.

  14. I don't think Pope Francis is such an easy pushover. He will hear these self-congratulatory reports from Bishop's Conferences at every ad lumina visit. But, I am sure he knows that what he is being given is a self-serving presentation, and he will have means of finding out what really is happening. In the dicasteries I am sure there will have been some hard talking. So, I am hopeful that Francis will send the Irish bishops home with a flea in their ear, and an instruction to sort things out according to the vision of Francis.

Byrne, I am afraid, must be a test case. And DM has to act. There is enough on this blog and other information to have that young man thrown out, arrested even ! DM must act. If he does not act, then I think that people should make formal complaints to the Irish police about some of his behaviour, particularly the alleged incident in Bray. It has been aired enough for it to be moved on, even without the co-operation of the SilverDaddy concerned, and for the police to be given a complaint. It does not have to be the alleged victim who is the complainant. It can be any of us. If we think a crime has been committed, then there is a duty to report these things. Have you done so + Pat ? I suggest that you might be the best person to do this with the most information to hand over.

From what I have been reading, Byrne may not just be a colourful narcissist. He appears to be a dangerous, predatory sexual assaulter, even rapist. That is serious in any walk of life. It should be looked in to by the police. Or, in due course, he will probably do something again. And then, how would we feel about our inaction now ?

    4. 12.02 I am not going to be dictated to by a bully like you. This is not your blog it's Bishop Pat's blog. He sets the agenda here not You, Pat knows I am authentic because I am speaking to him offline. I don't need to prove anything to You, so go and pester someone else

      Delete
    5. Do what you like 12:08, but you are wasting your breath until we see something more credible than this. And if you are speaking offline to Bishop Pat, it is surprising that we read Bishop Pat's comment at 11:49, so whatever you're speaking to him online about it isn't the photos.

And you are right this is Bishop Pat's blog. But one of the principal reasons that the bishops are ignoring the stuff that is coming from Bishop Pat is that the comments on the blog make wild indiscriminate allegations which are simply not believable. The CC story was one. We had it again the other day where Bishop Pat claimed he had sexually compromising pictures of MB including the face, only for a serious bit of backtracking to be done yesterday. As a result, and I know this for a fact, the general attitude to stuff on this blog among bishops and senior clerics is eye-rolling and considering it as a nutcase blog rather than a credible threat. Every time someone like me points it out, the accusations start - Who are you, what is your agenda, are you MB? No, I want to see change, but unless we start having credible verifiable information rather than random allegations there is no hope for change. So if the aim of the blog is gossip, then proceed as we are. If the aim of the blog is change in the Church and action, then it needs to change. It is a simple as that. It is not use living in an echo-chamber of the blog and ignoring how it is perceived in the wider world.

  19. I didn't register them Pat, I didn't think. But I can resend them and register them. I suppose you have to be one step ahead but you shouldn't have to think that way about bishop's. 20. 12.23 if you don't believe what you read on the blog, if you think it's a nutcase blog, if you question allegations and pics and if you don't like what you read, the question remains - WHY READ IT?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Are you unable to discern anything? Where did I say it was a nutcase blog? I am giving you inside information about how the blog is perceived by bishops. The reason why DM and others do nothing about genuine stories such as the MB case is because people are posting absurd gossip. So you have a mixture of real situations and queeny gossip. After a while, it becomes hard to distinguish. And so its effectiveness diminishes and the bishop have excellent grounds to point to it and say "well they post rubbish about anyone who has come within a 5 mile radius of Maynooth, you cannot take it seriously". Much of what written is true - as an insider I can, for example, tell that some of the stories could only have come from seminarians. But I can also tell you that other stories are not true. If your response to the issues we face is to fall hook, line and sinker for every single queeny comment posted on the blog, then you need to discern a bit harder. I mean "if you question allegations" - are you actually serious? Do you mean that an allegation is made, you believe it, no questions asked? This isn't Catholic Ireland 1957, we are allowed to use the brains that God gave us today. I suggest you use yours.

it seems the bishops are running rings around the poor Joe soap of ireland. This needs to be done this weekend Pat - the time is up.

    6. Something similar was said of Jesus of Nazareth. At least the source of one such comment, Nathaniel, wasn't hiding behind an anonymous tag. It's not our past that is of concern but our present.

      Delete
    7. @23:13 and so what if he did? It is not your business and what he might or might not have done before he entered the seminary is irrelevant. On your way of thinking, you would have barred St Augustine. Pat, why are you allowing this to be published? Can we now assume that your target now is gay seminarians in general, rather than offenders in seminary or the priesthood? Because by permitting the comment above that is the message you are endorsing. Could you clarify or shall we just make that assumption?

      Delete
    8. I see nothing wrong with gay seminarians or priests who practice what they preach and do not target other seminarians for abuse.

If you want to be an RC seminarian or priest you must accept what you stand for.

      Double lives are hypocritical.

      Delete
    9. In what way is that a double life Pat? Surely this was before seminary and a man is entitled to the benefit of the doubt? Or no?

      Delete
    10. I know him enough to know he's very very secretive about his affairs... They fall over him at the Irish College - some lust him in fact - & not just seminarians! Parishioners are entitled to know the mindset of those eventually to be entrusted to their spiritual care. No time for deviousness or deep seated homosexual tendencies that eventually come out when it's all too late causing serious damage to the credibility of the church.

      Delete
    11. Look it's like this - if he is a seminarian and sexually active, fair enough. If he is abusing celibate seminarians, fair enough. If tendencies are deep-seated in the sense that his alleged homosexuality is such that it colours his judgment fair enough. But if the only point being raised here is that there was alleged sexual activity before he entered the seminary, then this is a breach of his right to a private life. If he has done nothing while in the seminary, he is entitled to privacy. Very few seminarians in any part of the world are virgins, so I don't see any big deal. I have to say I am disappointed that this sort of thing is being published. From what you are telling us, there's no double life going on - the fact that you find him 'secretive about his affairs' can be translated as "I have no information about anything". Maybe you are an ex-lover jilted in favour of the seminary?

      Delete
    12. Blind eye so then! Not an ex-lover I assure you. Practice what YOU preach & don't make assumptions yourself!! I'm just a concerned catholic with no agenda other than flagging something no doubt to surface post-ordination. Always does in the end!

      Delete
    13. No blind eye. If you have something to say, let's be having it. If on the other hand you are alleging that someone was active before seminary, then unless it was criminal, from the Catholic point of view it is no big deal. You seem to be saying that because he is allegedly gay, he in unable to keep chastity, and will offend in the future - which really amounts to bigotry and homophobia. So if you are really a concerned Catholic, I would focus a bit more on mercy, compassion and avoiding idle gossip rather than behaving like someone who is without sin and who has never known the mercy of God. If you have real concerns, address them through the proper channels, rather than posting queeny comments in a public forum. Until we have something more substantial, this is really just a collection of offensive posts.

    7. I understand Bishop Pat and think you do good work especially with some of the situations we have before us. But you are allowing comments about all manner of seminarians to be put into the public domain, and it isn't right or fair from the Christian perspective. If they have done something wrong, hold them to account, but shout-outs for info on somebody or tearing someone's entire reputation to shreds simply because they might be feminine isn't really hard to curb to be honest.

If someone wants to give you information or put you onto a real story, then let them email you and you can do your good work. I am really only objecting to the random allegations about men who are potentially innocent (or who maybe have their own issues or demons to face).

  42. Raphoe seminarians were the most macho of all in Maynooth in my time there (the 1980s). The then Junior Dean, dismissed two of my classmates because of their openly camp behaviour. There were a few gay seminarians, but I was only aware of one practising one. At the time there were 350 diocesan seminarians in residence, plus 50 or so male religious students. Far more prevalent was straight relationships, and a strong drinking culture. Part of Maynooth's problem has been the admission since 1966 of lay students, with no planning for how to maintain the seminary ethos. When I was there it just felt like a hall of residence with a few prayers thrown in. Now the seminary is almost entirely subsumed by the secular university, many of whose students and staff are anti-Cathoic. The seminary and it's grounds are open to the general public, there is no sense of quiet or recollection, and the college chapel is locked up, and is mainly used for concerts.

    1. I was in Long Corridor in 1986 and you did not "visit" me #sadface. Hard to comprehend that the number of first years in 1986 was 84, which is more than the entire college now, plus there were first years also enter the six or so other seminaries that were still open then. In fact, there were so many first years that we had to share bedrooms. The junior dean, Fr Frank Duhig was not happy about that at all. He tried unsucessfully to get Humanity House returned to it's former use as seminary accommodation, but it had been turned into staff offices.

So responsible that it allowed the Fr Tony Walshes and the Fr Ivan Paynes of this world to go on sexually abusing children and not a word of alarm raised by the church to the authorities because, to quote Stenson again " I had taken an oath"
There's one of those oaths again! Remember the " wounded healer" and the children signing the oath? Ummmmm.......
