GORGEOUS - DIARMUID - MAYNOOTH
THE BLOG HAS HEARD THAT THE MAYNOOTH SEMINARY COUNCIL WANTED TO DISMISS MICHAEL GORGEOUS BYRNE FROM MAYNOOTH FOR "IMMATURITY" AND WERE ORDERED NOT TO BY ARCHBISHOP DIARMUID MARTIN !
The row involving the Maynooth Council, Gorgeous and Dermo allegedly happened in the early 2010's.
My information on this row comes from a highly respected journalist with massive contacts in the Catholic Church and priesthood.
He claims that Father Liam Rigney - the parish priest of Maynooth - and Diarmuid Martin's contact with Maynooth Dublin seminarians was despatched to Maynooth to tell them that Archbishop Martin was ORDERING - not telling them - to reinstate Gorgeous.
In contact with the Dublin seminarians at Maynooth.the past two days Father Rigney has denied this and said that he had no contact and meeting with the Maynooth Council and was simply the archbishop's contact with the seminarians.
The Dublin seminarian in Maynooth at the time had regular meetings with Father Rigney in the Parochial House at Maynooth.
MAYNOOTH'S OTHER ISSUE:
I hope readers have been able to keep up with the growing cast of figures that are emerging as we explore the Irish Catholic Church, its bishops, priests, deacons seminarians etc in this 21st century.
When I went to school in the 50's and 60's in Ireland I had to bring in a penny everyday for the BLACK BABIES OF AFRICA which I had to hand over to the nun or Christian Brother.
Now the African folk are coming here.
Some of them are coming to fill the places in parishes that lie vacant because of the shortage of priests in Ireland.
Others are coming here to study for the priesthood.
One of the more famous African seminarian to enter Maynooth in recent times was Bennet - the man from Nairobi.
Apparently Father Paul Prior of Maynooth took him under his wing.
Bennet left Maynooth and was later ordained in 2012 for service in Australia.
Father Bennet will go down in the annals of 20th century Maynooth.
“In all the Catholic countries the sexual crimes of the priests are hard to tell. There is a kind of auto-censoring, on the part of journalists and victims because of the shame and because the culture of the church is very strong,”

I HAVE PASSED ON THE CONCERNS EXPRESSED TO THE AUTHORITIES IN HIS PRESENT DIOCESE.
You've kind of "left this one hanging" Pat.
ReplyDeleteWhy would Bennet go down in the annals?
Also the three paragraphs concerning Fr Rigney seem somewhat confusing/unclear.
MMM
Why doesn't this eminent journalist publish what he knows on his own paper if its true?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous isn't the nicest in that pic. I'll have blue tie and no jumper, please. The blurred red tie and no jumper looks pretty good too.
More like an ICA bus trip
Puck - a lad in his middles 20's dressed up like an AULD FELLA
ReplyDeleteLittle did anyone on the bus know that Deacon Jones was posting a semi-nude picture of himself with a thong on grindr. God help us all.
ReplyDeleteIt was a jock strap not a thong. It enables easier access (cough cough) to a certain part of the body.
DeleteRed jock strap. I wonder was that the liturgical Color for the day
DeleteThe real question is he was wearing it?
DeleteBehind King Puck is Barry 'The Gossip' Matthews. He would go to the staff with information on 'rigid' seminarians. He got four people kicked out of seminary. What a nasty person!
ReplyDeleteThis is true Pat!
DeleteHe has that look about him #TeachersPet
DeleteI agree. He is a nasty piece of work. He got a very good galway student booted out with his lies.
DeleteHe has facebook and twitter
Just ask Niall Carroll what he did to him and others
DeleteI had dealings with Barry M a few years ago and I found him to be one of the nastiest people i ever came across. He presents himself as a lovely funny guy but this is all a front. He is vindictive and controlling. He is nothing but UGLY!
DeleteYes Barry is a teachers pet I can attest to this. Another nasty idiot who flew through Maynooth without a problem. I'm fed up
DeleteHe will be ordained in the coming months. He destroyed the lives of many people who have genuine vocations. He should be ashamed of himself.
DeleteEx-Seminarian from the West
yes, the seminary council is very afraid of Niall Carroll, knows alot of the inside juice...
DeleteBarry Matthews is dangerous!
DeleteBarry has done a lot more than whats mentioned above
DeleteShit is going to hit the fan lol. Barry was seen running to Fr. Paul's office
DeleteThe Rev. Matthews walks all over people in seminary - he optimises viciousness of the highest order!
DeleteHis homilies are so fake and pius. Does he really think we believe the shite that comes from this gossips mouth?
DeletePat, you have to write something on this guy sounds like a real psycho.
DeleteThe most dangerous seminarian in my time was Gerard 'butter wouldn't melt in his mouth' Quirke. I guess he was taking the photo.
DeleteMeow...some bitches about here today! Stop trying to start fights!
DeleteBarry got him kicked out along with boyle???
DeleteThe class of 2011, what a dysfunctional lot we were.
DeleteWhat did Barry Matthews do? I came across his facebook page yesterday
DeleteAnon @13.47 What a disfunctional lot SOME were/still are. There are still Some good men from that class whether they are still in Ministry or not.
DeleteJust had a look back on Barry s speech on behalf of his ordination class,Diaconate Ceremony 29th May 2016.
DeleteAll I can say is that whatever brought him to that point on his journey it certainly wasn't the Grace that God had given him as he believes.
"Everyone gathered here today represents what is good about Maynooth". Really??.Is he deluded?.
Oot of the 9 Seminarians 4/5 have been mentioned on this blog in the last few days-and not in a good way.
And then the bould Barry had the neck to assure "others who will leave to travel a different path" of his prayers. He should have been praying for forgiveness from God for the part he played in the dismissal of good Seminarians.
Irony or Justice?
DeleteA vicious gossip now gets viciously gossiped about.
Do onto others.....
DeleteAny that distupts good vocations is nothing but a demon in clerical collar. What a shame. I look forward to Bishop Pat's blog tomorrow on Barry Matthews.
DeleteA few Bishops could be classed as demons in clerical collars then. Look to the West, eh Dr. DRE.
DeleteBarry entered (the seminary) as a late vocation aged 29. How come the ladies passed by such a handsome guy?
DeletePat, I literally shivered when I saw that first picture
ReplyDeleteBennett was a seminarian for Kildare and Leighlin and was apparently turned down by every other diocese in Ireland. He had major sexual and moral issues. Seminarians were more or less afraid of him because of his very close relationship with Prior. In the end he was given a route to Australia by Prior after the situation with the nun in Carlow.
ReplyDeleteIf only people knew what went/goes on in that seminary.
The bishops are acting just like their predecessors by remaining in denial about Maynooth. It appears as if their critical faculties have been completely suspended.
hi Pat, bennet was actually from Nigeria. another perfect candidate and specimen for the st pats madhouse indeed he was. the wee man got him bundled off to Oz after he got a poor nun up the duff.
ReplyDeleteDeacon Byrne wearing a designer jumper with a logo, taking a picture with his expensive smart phone. So much for Pope Francis and priests avoiding worldly goods. Ah I give up!
ReplyDeleteAh the bold Bennet! I was wondering how long it would take him to pop up here. If you ever want to see how Maynooth not only does not form a man but makes him worse than he was when he entered formation, then Fr Bennet is your man to analyse. God love him he was an absolute disaster and talked more like a porn star than a seminarian! He would turn the air blue the minute he walked into a room. It appeared he was a swinger who was into everything and anything with an orifice! Poor auld bishop Moriarty in Kildare had the bad sense to take him on when was turned down by many other dioceses. Himself and Peewee Herrman were like two peas in a pod!
ReplyDeleteBennett definitely subscribed to the warped sexual ethic propagated by PP.
DeleteIf Bennett were in Gaynooth now he would have much riding to keep himself busy with!!LOL!! :-) Lots of little queenies for him to indulge in. ;-)
DeleteDesigner jumper says it all really, what a vain pic! I must say Pat, you have good contacts for photographs. I notice a few of the Armagh lot in that pic too.
ReplyDeleteI do have very good contacts in interesting places.
DeleteIs that David Vard in the back? He's hot!
ReplyDeleteKevin McElroy sitting behind him. It should be the other way around..............
DeleteVard is sound
DeleteVard gained a lot of weight. He is very immature.
Deletei like Vard. Yea he does give off an air of immaturity but he's got a good heart. Sadly he was a part of last years diaconate ordination that included Byrne and Jones, so their reputation will forever cloud his happy day.
DeleteFor goodness sake will you stop allowing ridiculous comments like 0822 through.
DeleteLads if you're trying to dispel the notion of a gay culture in Maynooth, with this type of bitchiness you're only proving it's existence!
It's a bit strange that this respected journalist chose to publish this very interesting story by making anonymous comments on the blog yesterday? You have since spoken to that comment poster and verified?
ReplyDeleteFr B certainly does not look Nigerian.
I see the Maynooth bitches are back out early on the go today.
I'm up early for morning prayer.
DeleteLook at King Puck's hairline. It is the same hairline that is in his nude picture with the saggy hairy ass!!!!! How does his Bishop not think it is him Pat?
ReplyDeleteKerry-Eye
The bishop doesn't think it's him? Anyone that knows him knows it's him!!!
DeletePat, where are the pictures of MB that you have...Let's have them!
DeleteThere are reports that Sean Jones had some young man over in his parish for Christmas. Is this true Pat?
DeleteI did not hear that?
DeleteChris Derwin also paid him a visit
DeleteAr'a bless him he's only a little cherub.
ReplyDeleteIt seems the Maynooth Sisters get up in the morning and read Pat's Blog, post bitchy comments about their fellow queens and then head down for Morning Prayer. What does that tell us? How pretentious!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I fear taking my phone out incase people get suspicious
DeleteYes I remember the "black baby" statue box in school. I'm not sure where all this is going though. All it takes is for someone to say xxx never happened and it's on to the next round. So what next...
ReplyDeleteI assure you Sean that everything written about Fr Bennett is true. Anyone who was in the seminary with him will tell you that. Anyone decent that is.
Delete8.28 I do not disbelieve you but how can this fix the present
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteBarry Matthews is more dangerous to Maynooth seminary than any gay seminarian = fact !!!
ReplyDeleteI agree on everything except the part about sexuality. That is a ?
DeleteHe was known to throw people under the bus to make himself look like the star pupil.
All those sems look as gay as Xmas! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteAny word from DM? Any statement coming? suppose not.
ReplyDeleteNo !
DeleteUgh!! Barry Matthews and Damien Quigley two very creepy men! Amy's pets for sure. Damien used to decorate his room with cartoon heroes. As for Barry very much a gossip definitely not to be trusted.
ReplyDeleteCartoon heroes Not very life threatening. I have a Mr Bean teddy
DeleteBishop Moriarty has got caught a fair few times with the sexually active seminarians. He needs to review his recruitment processes.
ReplyDeleteMoriarity is retired. He had to resign after the report into Dublin abuse where he was an auxiliary bishop.
DeleteWhy would PP get Fr Bennet a diocese in Australia when so many other good men were just summarily dismissed? He must be a real golden boy.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the picture on the bus. Do you think they were off to the sauna and the George in Dublin?.Some of them really look like bitches in heat.
ReplyDeleteI made a comment earlier about Barry Matthews but it has not appeared- I hoped that this was an open form for authentic discussion
ReplyDeleteGreat pic Pat, looks like a Grindr, fabguys and Silver daddies day out, they all look very excited at the prospect.
ReplyDeleteConor Gannon is looking very angelic. I wonder does he wear that blue tie to the type of bars that he frequentes? He is good 'friends' with Fr. Des Doyle. They have many things in common.
ReplyDeleteRegards Fr Bennet. If his past is so controversial, and true , I wonder has anyone told the parish priest and archbishop in Melbourne. Surely, he wasnt reassigned with hidden secrets, that would be so wrong and a major risk to the parishoners
ReplyDeleteSo have you, Pat, informed Australia about the black priest....if not why not
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong in being a friend of Des Doyle
ReplyDeleteYou're right! Nothing wrong with keeping young homosexual company.
DeleteDid the Carlow nun have an abortion or did she leave to have the baby
ReplyDeleteOr did this story actually happen ?
Revelation 13:1-10King James Version (KJV)
Delete13 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
That Bennett fellow should never have been ordained. His little buddy got him shuffled off to Oz after his shenanigans with the nun. Yes it happened.
DeleteThere used to be a bus in coleraine that took all the young girls up to Ballykelly army camp . It was knick named the fanny bus . I see it has resurfaced in maynooth
ReplyDeleteThe prospect of an influx of black priests and seminarians will only result in some of them seeking out black daddies online (e.g. DaddyHunt.com).
ReplyDeleteCheck out the Maynooth seminary magazine, Siolta, available online on the college website, especially the 2015 edition. Many of the stars of this blog make an appearance, including Sean Jones, who is a Pioneer no less. Who'd have thought it? There are so few seminarians now that they can bulk it out with class photos and individual photos of each seminarian. You'll see that it's not just Deacon Byrne who is adapt at the "come hither" photo. I wonder if any have been used as grindr profile photos?
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I've seen it
DeleteSean Jones drinks alcohol. The only thing he ever pioneered was jockstaps, leg poses and pink lamp-shades
DeleteLol
I wondered whether they sold soft drinks in the George. In Maynooth in the 80s Malibu was the preferred drink of seminarians of the giggling kind when they visited the Roost in the village. Male lay students used to give them funny looks.
DeleteI visited Maynooth in 2007 as a guest for the diaconate ordanations. Later that night some members of the class were town out of the roost because the bar staff got fed up of drunk clerics saying the prayers of consecration over their pints and food, and blessing groups of people. It was the bar staff who found the behaviour to be offensive.
DeleteWrite a blog on barry Matthews please! I will send you a story. Please send me

DeletePerhaps we should rename the seminary St Trinian's? To honour the cattiness of its denizens. I am glad Bishop Pat that you are publishing all this vital information which casts real light on the issues, it is in no way a gossipy blog. Nope. It is good to keep this serious.
ReplyDeleteI was making enquiries about Rev Matthews in Dundalk today. The person I asked described him in one word, "Toxic". These are the men that Amy Martin is having as his Priests. These are the ones getting through the net that is Maynooth and inflicted on the good people within the Archdiocese of Armagh. We have had Coyle, Fr X and the WYD debacle. If Matthews is ever appointed to my Parish my family will leave along with our financial contributions.
ReplyDeleteThere is one group of people I would describe as toxic and that is the parishioners in Armagh diocese, with their continuous threats of withholding money. One reads regularly the poisonous comments they make on this blog. Perhaps the Armagh diocese is merely getting the calibre of priests it deserves?
ReplyDeletethere's a good few older seminarians in that Siolta yearbook. Presumably they were all passed it? Perhaps Maynooth should become a Beda type seminary for older mature men
ReplyDeleteMatthews, Stephanie and Coyle ! Church is in dismay
ReplyDeleteJust looked at the 2016 edition of Siolta and the best looking by far is a guy called Darren Baldwin. HE's tied in my mind with that picture you had up of Fr Patrick Relihan in his classpiece photo. There was always the odd very goodlooking seminarian in Maynooth down through the years. Many left of course.
ReplyDeletePat Relihan, another useless priest who couldn't keep it in his pants. No longer Fr Pat Relihan.
Delete@16:39 i don't care. i was just saying that the picture of him in clerical garb on his classpiece was possibly the best looking priest in a long time. Now that pic was gorgeous. Didn't look as hot as a CEO at all.
DeleteWe all admire OUTER BEAUTY.
DeleteBut in the end it is INNER BEAUTY that lasts and that matters.
You don't have either!!!! Lol
DeleteAnonymous at 17:31
DeleteAnother bitchy little girl from Maynooth.
Just get out, will you?
You have nothing to offer Christians!
Certainly not 'leadership'.
We are not tolerating the recent calibre of Priests in Armagh. Don't see the reason we need to keep funding them because Eamon Martin refuses to address the situation. Two of them sitting in that coach pic proves my point.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more dangerous in the spiritual life, than to wish to rule ourselves after our own way of thinking. St. Philip Neri
ReplyDeleteSeems that he was right!
St Philip Neri- pray for us
Absolutely, NO! I'm on holiday.
DeleteSt Philip Neri
Question; has anybody established that the nun in Carlow is OK? She will no doubt have been held to account when she got pregnant. Not that it was great behaviour on her part (she too promised herself to celibacy), but on a human level was she cared for and supported by her superiors? Or was she vilified and cast out like so often happens to women while the cleric moves onward and upward?
ReplyDeleteAccording to Twitter Matthews is only 34. He's had a hard life as I always placed him in his late 40's
ReplyDeleteBishop Pat, Can I ask is the bus featured in the photo from Dorothy's Coaches. I seem to recognise the curtains.
ReplyDeleteI hate to tell you gentlemen, that when I worked in an office, two thirds female and the rest male, we all got on. Absolutely no bitchiness. There were 700 of us. We were all too busy working, then dashing home to feed our families. We had one or two unusual personalities but we just worked round them. We also had quite a few gay men and they were fine as well.
ReplyDeleteSo you bring your bitchiness here instead.............very interesting transference
DeleteCongratulations on your blog. You gave done the faithful a service. Lets be very clear about the gay issue and promiscuity. Gay seminarians and priests are fine - promiscuous ones aren't. I think the gay clergy got a massive wake-up call last year and were caught unawares by the public's reaction to the Maynooth Scandal. Remember the Irish public passed a marriage referendum. Gay clergy assumed that the faithful/Irish people would be fine with not only gay priests but actively gay priests. Irish people were not. The reaction of even the most liberal Irish people to the Maynooth Gay Saga caught Gay clergy unaware. THe most liberal and streetwise non-catholics were surprised and shocked by the story. Shocked by the hypocrisy. I am not saying that the street-wise Irish people suddenly became prudes. They didn't. They were just shocked and surprised and Gay clergy were not expecting it, at all. IT was only then the realisation dawned on the actively gay clergy to go back underground as it were and not flaunt their promiscuity
ReplyDeleteGay people are fine. Gay seminarians and gay priests aren't.
DeleteWho says? Pope Benedict
When gay men become clergymen therefore, they are hypocrites.
That is what the public is disgusted by, in the first place.
Secondly the promiscuity - gay or straight.
Agreed. The laity don't care if a priest or seminarian is gay in orientation, or long before entering seminary they had those experiences - just the same as many straight men have. What they do care about is that someone who is coming forward to say that they are making a commitment to live a celibate life, and then being hypocritical - that sickens people.
DeleteThey are making a commitment that they are not gay - a disqualifying characteristic for the job, according to the church.
DeleteThat is being hypocritical - that sickens people. Including people who are not homophobes.
ZeroTime, what about changing your profile name to Knuckle-Dragger? Pat - anyone who doesn't understand dicastery instructions and has only read them on the internet - ban them from posting. It is boring now. And while I appreciate that instructing the ignorant is a corporal work of mercy, I am bored pointing out every time that a lay idiot reading a text at home has ZERO understanding of how it is actually interpreted. Call time on it.
DeleteAnd on a mere factual basis, only backwoodsmen such as ZeroTime are disgusted by the fact of gay clergy or seminarians. That is a small percentage of Irish people, thanks be to God.
Nonsense, Anonymous at 20:20
DeleteOf course you like to pick and choose your transgressions ... being the arbitrator of All Things.
I understand.
And thanks for trying to have free speech banned.
Not unexpected, of course.
@zerotime there's a new Pope now. Get real. He's all for the gays - but not for the active ones or the promiscuous ones. That seems to be poster's point
DeleteHere are the facts:
DeleteThe Vatican’s Congregation for the Clergy issued a document on seminary formation which re-affirmed the ban on the admission of homosexuals to seminary.
The Gift of the Priestly Vocation states, “If a candidate practices homosexuality or presents deep-seated homosexual tendencies, his spiritual director as well as his confessor have the duty to dissuade him in conscience from proceeding towards ordination.”
This clarification, echoing a teaching of Pope Benedict XVI in 2005, suggests that men who experience same sex attraction at a profound level are unsuitable for ordination.
The document goes on to explain, “Such persons find themselves in a situation that gravely hinders them from relating correctly to men and women.” Put simply, the homosexual condition inhibits fully natural relationships with people.
That won't stop Anonymous at 20:20 and his ilk, of course, who know better.
ZeroTime, jog on, no one is interested in your psychological projections. In any event, assuming you are a man, you would be ineligible to apply to be a seminarian on account of a lack of intellectual ability given that you lack any understanding of how documents are interpreted and have a somewhat protestant tendency to assume that you have any business interpreting them at all. I assume you think that the text of the documents of the Fourth Lateran Council requiring Jews to wear special dress still applies - on the basis that you read it on the internet.
DeleteYes, myself and inconsequential men such as Cardinal Dolan of New York don't agree with your interpretation - but what the hell would Cardinal Dolan know or the vast majority of the world's bishops know?! They haven't consulted Zero Time who has read it on the INTERNET in a vacuum!
DeleteWhen you get to grips with the concept of "deep-seated homosexual tendencies", which is a concept entirely different to homosexual orientation, please do pat yourself on the back and buy yourself a big cake as a treat to yourself.
Anonymous at 20:54
DeleteYou are so arrogant!
And you're the protestant - making up the rules for yourself, when they are plainly set out by the Church.
Cop on to yourself.
ZeroTime, how do you know that the 'homosexual condition (whatever that is) inhibits fully natural relationships with people'? Are you speaking from personal experience? Or do you accept this solely on the word of two men (Popes Benedict and Francis) who aren't even remotely qualified, scientifically, to make such a judgement?
DeleteFrom your posts, you clearly loathe gays. Are you gay yourself? It's either this, or you're a woman with a homophobic axe to grind. Which is it?
Zero Time. Zero Tolerance. Zero Intelligence.
DeleteIf comments like yours had been broadcast when the young Pietro Barbo was thinking of becoming a priest in the 15th Century, it might have stopped him from applying. You probably know him better as Pope Paul II.
Just wait until all this raises it's head during the abortion debate. Bishops taking over the airwaves to be met with images of deacons arses looking for sex being published. That should quieten them. Especially if they ordain the arses in question.
ReplyDeleteI was once a prospective seminarian dying to get into Maynooth. I loved the look of the place.
ReplyDeleteHOW GLAD I AM now that I have changed my ways and am going to pursue another way of life.
Any of the seminarians who have been writing on this, please read this comment. YOU are putting people off with your antics. Please stop or just leave the Seminary.
Regards,
Glad 21 Yr Old
You sound too rigid anyway... and probably too frigid as well for Gaynooth.
Delete19:45, you'd be a nightmare to live with
DeleteYou are a ad lad still fixated by the haunted bread. Even though you praise your self for avoiding maynooth
DeleteSo what percentage of priests in Dublin are actively Gay ?.Any ideas or does AB Martin even know.
ReplyDelete37.62%
DeleteStop the lights pat - the Siolta magazine what a show.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering on Pages 43 - 45 how many are still studying or have left do we know?
Pat you need to follow the water along the shannon to GALWAY diocese ..........
ReplyDeleteWill do.
DeleteIs Shane Costello still studying does anyone know?
ReplyDeleteHas anyone got the contact details of the Dorothy coach company as in the pic. Do friends of Dorothy get any discounts for hiring?
ReplyDeleteReading a lot of the comments here reveals the evil times we are in. The vile vermin get ordained while the good guys get kicked out. The chancers can Grindr away to their hearts content while the the ones who aspire to virtue and holiness are made walk the plank.
ReplyDeleteWhat clowns has God given us with the current incumbents in purple?
What has the Irish Church done to deserve this and why have the Irish saints abandoned us?
Does anyone know? Are we not praying hard enough for Maynooth to be reformed and for holy priests?
My Faith is nearly gone in the Church here.
A Very Disheartened Young Irish Catholic.
Trust God. Not the men.
DeleteThe darkest part of the night can often be just before the dawn - - God bless and never lose heart!
DeleteMoral authority of the bishops gone for the Abortion Referendum. They need to get their house (seminaries) in order before that kicks off or they should stay silent
ReplyDeletePat we need an urgent update from Rome on the status of MB. Earlier reports true or red herring?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the latest from Rome? Has Ciaran O'Carroll kicked him out?
ReplyDeleteNo news.
DeleteNo news.
DeletePat, why aren't you in Rome as a little surprise for them? Just pitch up as they are all entering the Congregation for the Oriental Churches (a key issue for the Irish Bishops)? Then keep pitching up. That would have been fun.
DeleteWhy should bishops have anything to say regarding abortion
DeleteSure the covered up the abuse of living children
Why would we need their opinions regarding the unborn
Shhhhsssshhhh
I am considering applying this year - is Maynooth a place to study?
ReplyDeleteYes, if you are a masculine, athletic jock looking for fun. (No fats, fems or trolls).
DeleteDepends.
DeleteWhat do you want to study?
applying for what? seminary? undergrad? postgrad? liturgy course? presidents job?. Yeah its a fantastic place to study! modern library, numerous sports and leisure clubs.
DeleteIt has an unrivalled Department of German.
DeleteWho are the current Dublin seminarians in Maynooth and which ones went to study in Rome with MB?
ReplyDeleteWhat a silly question.
ReplyDeleteWhat question are you referring to?
DeletePat, do you have an update on King Puck? He is back to his old tricks..... :-/
ReplyDelete20 .38
ReplyDeleteNO
Fr Tom Norris may pack his bags so. Isn't he MB's Spiritual Director? In Rome? The Gift of the Priestly Vocation states, “If a candidate practices homosexuality or presents deep-seated homosexual tendencies, his spiritual director as well as his confessor have the duty to dissuade him in conscience from proceeding towards ordination.”
ReplyDeleteIt's weird. Irish people would be aghast to see a cleric with his ass in the air and his face on show in a pic, and another in a jockstrap. Why won't the papers publish them? Has the Sunday World toned down or something?
ReplyDeleteMy attention has been drawn to this blog only yesterday. As an ordinary decent practicing Catholic I have only one questions for our bishops. What the hell is going on?
ReplyDeletePaul O'Neill
Newtownabbey
The story is featured on a site called 'church Militant' a conservative American Catholic site.
ReplyDeleteAre all those in the bus picture compromised
ReplyDelete?????
The churchfork saga continues. Plenty of info on the main characters. When will we see grassroots change
ReplyDeleteI have it on VERY sound word that the 'semenarian' in the far right of the bus pic (C.G.) is gay & 'very' friendly with Gorgeous. He has also been with many men! Please investigate him, Pat & find out a bit more about his behaviour to date!
ReplyDeleteThat's not true - he is a decent, nice guy. LEAVE HIM ALONE.
DeleteMost gay guys are nice - and decent. Difference is he's about to take vows!!!! He's no angel. His past will out him - VERY soon!!!! VERY soon, trust me!
DeleteIf anyone knows C.G., please ask him to come clean to Archbishop Martin about his past - as a matter of urgency!
Delete23.07 I don't think all those in the bus pic are compromised just by being in a picture but most of them are hot. As well as Gorgeous Michael Byrne, the guy in the blue tie is very hot and the others at the back are cute too. In fact the only ones that are not good looking are the two guys in glasses. Even King Puck looks alright......I'd love to see him in that jockstrap pic again!
ReplyDeleteJust search for "Sean Jones, deacon" in Google images and up pops the imbibing Pioneer in all his glory.
