CLOWNING IN ARMAGH

The pre booked CLOWN for the Armagh St Patrick's Day Parade made a NO SHOW on Paddy's Day and war replaced by the RC Archbishop of Armagh Eamon Martin !!!

Whats with

The Black Leather Gloves - normally worn by an IRA military escort unit?

The Brolly - normalls worn by the Orange Men on July 12th.

The big silver chain around the neck?

Why was EAMON MARTIN making a spectacle of himself by WALKING as one of the EXIBITS in the parade ?

Has he no gravitas.

Even Brady would not have left himself down like this!

One old lady at the parade asked him:

"ARE YOU DRESSED UP OR ARE YOU A REAL BISHOP"?

He told her he was real !!!!

He was followed by the administrator and curate of the cathedral.

Two more EXHIBITS !

This is the leader of the RC Church in Ireland for the next 20 years !!!

Why does his mammy and family not go straight to Armagh and take him to the John of God's in Dublin?

Is it any wonder the RC Church in Ireland is losing all respect ?

Is he sticking out his tongue in this pic?

Im beginning to think Amy is NOT WELL !!!

Why would the Archbishop of Armagh make himself an "exhibit" in the Paddys Day parade?

Is it a cry for HELP???

  1. Why wasn't he standing with his people instead of behind the exhibitors
Did he think he was marching in a twelfth parade

    1. I just looked at that "tongue picture" I wonder if it's a mannerism and he may not know he is doing it. Just a thought that's all. A strange thing to do on purpose

  2. I'm afraid I don't understand this one. Did he just show up or was he invited. What is the implementation of this one way or the other

  3. It seems Sean that important people walk after all the clowns and leprechaunS and comics and the sexy dancers And the people in fancy dress
So Amy must be important in Armagh, even though one lady asked him if he was dressed up or was he really the archbishop
    He replied
Yes I am really the archbishop

  4. The Archbishop of Armagh always walks in that parade. Cahal Daly used to go around in some sort of pony and trap during it - so did Brady.

  5. I think it is lovely of him. I am confused by what you think is wrong? Do you not wear a chain round your neck? Honestly confused by this blog.

  6. Is it appropriate for the Primate of all Ireland or any Bishop to be seen sticking their tongue out at the crowd? Very weird and inappropriate behaviour. Where you in the crowd Pat and was he sticking his tongue out at you? We need to be careful what we say about His Grace because he does have a tendency of reporting what you say about him to the Police Service of N Ireland.

    1. Good God! The man was just toying, and possibly knew whoever was taking the picture. Must he show arch-episcopal gravitas all the time? Isn't he allowed to be human (and humourous) like the rest of us?

If he behaves formally too often, we call him 'aloof', 'remote from the people'. If he relaxes too much, we call him 'a clown'.

Sorry, Bishop P. , but I think this blog is very unfair to Ab. Martin. He's not a great prelate (none of them are, frankly), but I think people can be too hard on the man. Cut him SOME slack.

You are full of contradictions and like others on the blog I'm getting sick of your nonsense, I don't really know why Pat allows a windbag like you pontificate on here so much. Go and play your devils advocate game somewhere else where people can bear listening to you.

He was parading because he can, theres not a man out there who doesn’t peacock especially if he has an audience.

We all love to be secret dressers of sorts if we are honest. Priests Bishop’s nun deacons sure the garb is great.

LOOK AT THE Fatima statute touring Ireland fiasco for fuck sake did you ever hear or see the likes of it a fucking statute needs privacy.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hank I looked on line at the pictures of the statue and it seems the people (of the world?) are attracted to this devotion. There are 6 statues in all I believe. Question im left asking is what do they hope to access via a statue that they cant access via a real live person. I think this says more about the people thanit does about the statue.

    1. I agree dont get me wrong I see the value in imagery to make connection and inspire and all that correct catholicism use BUT BUT when it takes grown men priests or who ever to say that they are acting like body guards and that they must say a rosary at certain times in front of it or that they cannot let anyone near it or coceal it away from sight because they have to dress it and undress it. Like it was a sexualised body OH for FUCKSAKE thats pure idolatry 100%. This is what formed the basis of the reformation. I'm all behind leading people to prayer bringing them to the good news but Marianism is wrong and the mother of God would tell us so I'm sure. Maybe even through me the Spirit can work to do good things like speak about the likes of this.

My God choose a weak woman who said yes to his desire well as a matter of faith I believe that and honour her as the vessel BUT how far does it go....

Your blog, this time is very much over the top.
I resent your habit of referring to him as Amy.
How would you like to be referred to as Bishop Patricia? This might be more suitable given your condition.

What's the Twelfth got to do with it?
Wearing his Chain of office, what's the problem?

Me thinks Pats is losing it, this coverage of the great festival of Patrick in Armagh is a mere insult by you Pat, I can sense your hatred and bitterness here, Christian leadership and example Pat?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Bishop Pat I think you have displayed an error of judgment with this post. I have done some research over the weekend and I can see that every Archbishop of Armagh in living memory has taken part in the parade. I have been able to source pictures right back to the time of the late Cardinal Tomas O'Fiaich and he, like Cahal B, would be in the parade in a pony and trap. It is expected of the Archbishop that he takes part in the parade, rather like the Queen in the Trooping of the Colour. I don't think that anyone could say that Tom Fee was not a man of the people, and yet there he is. As to the Greca (the long double breasted coat with the eight buttons); Cardinal Daly and Brady wore this, so I would imagine that Eamon is just following what is precedence. Bishop Pat in many, if not virtually all, of your posts you have something valuable and important to say. Not this one. It appears spiteful, churlish and is factually wrong. I don't think you should take it down - no need for that, but perhaps a retraction and an admission that you got it wrong on this occasion? Up to you. But it would show your stature and greatness if you could. A friend.

    1. So Amy is following the precedent of making an ejit of himself!

It would answer him better to reply to the numerous letters he received on important matters like Gaynooth.

    2. Maybe he is less than impressed by someone posting daft nonsense such as this, and really can't be bothered engaging with his intellectual inferiors?

  19. I don't think Bishop Pat should retract anything said with regards to Amy the prize Clown. I think we are all entitled to an opinion and I happen to agree with what Pat has said. Instead of parading around the streets of Armagh he should be sorting out his Clergy and the Archdiocese. Even his senior clergy are reporting his inaction regarding the sexual behaviour of some of his Priests directly to Rome. Some of his Priests are taking sudden and unexplained sabbaticals, some are in Sex addiction clinics in the USA, we know one is having sex with a teenage boy who is a member of the DUP. We have the World Youth Day debacle in Poland with some of his Priests reported for inappropriate behaviour with young lads and the list continues and is endless. Yet Amy still does nothing and despite many complaints he won't answer letters to some complainants who make serious allegations about his Priests. Amy is far too busy to deal with any of that, she would rather parade herself around the streets of Armagh. As some twit said earlier Amy parades around like the queen at the trooping of the colour, that's a good comparison indeed.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thats as may be the case, but it doesn't detract from what I have said in my belief that this is a mistaken post and one that deserves a retraction on your part. Otherwise it could appear that you have too much pride to admit when you are wrong. Also I don't think the Archbishops do make "ejits" of themselves. They bring great happiness and joy to the tens of thousands who come out in all weathers for the parade. If they weren't to attend and participate that would cause great upset.

  22. I wrote to this (Clown) regarding my son at the youth day and still waiting for a reply. I can now see why he might be busy taking part in a parade, maybe I should have confronted him face to face at the parade instead. This is not a threat in anyway because I don't want the police knocking on my door. Our family have not returned to Armagh Cathedral.

Unfortunately there are clowns in all walks of life, many posting on this forum that have nothing new to offer but bitterness and evil towards a Church that has acknowledged the terrible hurt it has caused in the past, but is trying to build a more just and livable future for its many faithful following.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No one has mentioned sexually offending, the teenager in question is 18 and above the legal age of consent for gay sex. The question is it appropriate for an Armagh Priest to be engaged in a gay sexual relationship with a lad so young. There is a massive difference to your understanding of the situation.

      Delete
  28. Most serious to see allegations of a priest involved in a sexual relationship with a teenager. Is this true Pat? If so you must report it to the police immediately. If there is any truth in it then the perpetrator will be arrested and charged and a file prepared for the DPP. More likely to be hearsay and gossip I think. There is nothing illegal about a man in his twenties being in a consensual sexual relationship with someone over the age of consent, who may be under 20 years of age.
