GORGEOUS / DEACON BYRNE NEWS

Last night we received an email about Gorgeous and an alleged trip to New York in 2015.

It reads:

"Although it is not mentioned in this blog, He was in New York City during the summer of 2015

i chatted with a Jack aka jackb222 on SKYPE and also Jack on Silverdaddies. I recognize him from the pictures posted in this blog.

His messages said that he was a medical student in NYC for a three month exchange training program at a major New York City hospital well known for its work in cancer treatment and research. He was staying in an apartment building near the hospital with other students in the program. I live very near his apartment.

We chatted daily for a while. He acted as a young guy who was experiencing NYC for the first time, the crowds , the sires, high buildings etc.

My first contact was on 12 May 2015, the last on 15 May 2015.

We did not meet. He declined to chat in SKYPE. It made me curious. He changed his profile picture quite often, usually with a NYC site in the background or wearing a yankee baseball cap. Sometimes in a tie and jacket".

PAT SAYS:

Can anyone confirm that Gorgeous was in the Big Apple in 2015?

Gorgeous - and indeed King Puck in Kerry - have been lying low for quite a few months now.

Diarmuid Martin has Gorgeous well hidden away in The Irish College in Rome.

King Puck is keeping quite in Listowel in Kerry.

It seems that their bishops are both determined to ordain them this Summer come what may!

  2. As I said on the previous blog, the institutional Roman Catholic Church is a 'whore', because it betrays Christ and his people.

If Byrne and Jones (and others like them) are ordained, it will prove my point that institutional Catholicism is indeed a whore.

  3. Judas betrayed Christ, was the early Church a whore? Christ was showing us from the very beginning that the Church would have ministers who would betray him and his Church. Get over it Magna, the Church exists on earth for sinners - stop calling Her a whore. (And don't give us that BS about "the church" vs "institutional church"!)

    1. In the 1950s, I thought the church was a very bullying institution. We have to be careful that we don't become the playground bully.

    2. Did you read my posts on yesterday's blog? The prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah both decsribed the Jews as 'harlot' for their infidelity to Yahweh.

Infidelity to God is a motif of Scripture, woven into the narrative of both the Old and New Testaments. It is an essential and seminal element in the story of our redemption. It reveals the misfortune that always and inevitably befalls God's people when they willingly and wilfully ignore his appeals to faithfulness. And you want me to 'get over it'.

Wasn't it a Spanish philosopher who said that those who neglect the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them? This applies as much to salvation history (our history as Catholics) as it does to history of any other sort.

No, I will not 'get over it'; nor should you, if you have any sense and any sense of historical perspective. We need to be ever alert to infidelity, whether at an individual or (and yes) institutional level. As regards the latter, much more harm can be done to God's people, especially the most vulnerable. And isn't this precisely what happened? With the sexual abuse of children which those in the institutional Church conspired to cover up and to betray the trust of ordinary Catholics?

    3. Never you mind about whores Maggie. Whores have better manners than you in any case, you arrogant, ignorant pig. Did you report that boyo who had sexual fantasies about children yet?

    4. You don't know when to stay down, do you 16:54?

If you must be a fool (and you assuredly are), then why not be a fool after Paul the Apostle? 'A fool for Christ'? There's merit in that kind of fool.

      So many deaf ears. (Sigh)

    5. Did you report the child sex fantasist yet, Maggie?

      Delete
    6. 21:43, yes, I reported him. But with no evidence of wrongdoing, nothing could be done by the authority to whom I reported him, beyond monitoring him to obtain evidence. This was done.

What you clearly don't understand (nor want to understand) is that action against someone on the basis of a single, unsubstantiated allegation cannot, lawfully, be taken. Such is your irrational and unchristian desire to avenge yourself against me for making you look the fool you actually are that you are beginning to sound quite unbalanced. I'd be very careful, if I were you. Watch what you say.

      Delete
    7. "Unchristian"? That's rich coming from you luv.

Someone tells you in the 1980s that he has an attraction towards children. Ok you reported it then but there weren't the checks and balances that exist now - plus what we have all experienced as a result of the actions of people like this.

No, Maggie, it's you who needs to be careful. You have a duty to report the guy by name to the NBSCC today and also to his bishop - explaining what he told you in the 1980s and your action then.

It's up to the National Board for Safeguarding to decide if he poses a risk, etc.

    8. The only person coming across as "unbalanced" Margarita - and the only person you make look a "fool" - is YOURSELF - you vitriolic old queen of the trolls LOL

    9. 00:27, did I say that this event occurred in the 1980s? No; you ASSUMED it. Fool.

You aren't just a fool (and I've demonstrated this beyond question); you're a total idiot.

Such is your unvarnished hatred of me, your comments betray your lack of not just objectivity, but your lack of everyday common sense.

      Delete
    10. 00:27, hey, fool! The National Board for Safeguarding Children is a Republic of Ireland organisation set up in 2006. I don't live and work in that country, fool. So I am not bound by its laws.

You just can't help making an idiot of yourself, can you?

      Delete
    11. Wrong again Mags. It doesn't matter if it was 80s or 90s or whenever. If you have any regard for children you will report what you were told to the NBSCC which is an ALL IRELAND organisation set up to safeguard children in every Catholic parish in Ireland - North, South, East and West. ALL the bishops, including the Northern bishops are signed up to it. Get it done now - there's a good girl - less of the histrionics. "Unvarnished hatred" of you?? I couldn't give a flying fxxx about ya luv. But I do worry about some pervert that you know and were told about 'out there', doing (having done) God knows what!!

      Delete
    12. Magna Carta, the national board is all Ireland - an independent watch dog body that monitors safeguarding of children throughout the Irish Catholic Church. You are bound also by God's Law. If you don't report what you were told by that person back then, you are negligent.

      Delete
    13. 13:39, you really don't know when to stay down, fool, do you?

What matters here is that you keep trying to pass off assumption as fact. But then, I did say you were a fool. And I don't answer to fools, especially those prone to unbridled flights of fancy.

Keep living in the realm of fantasy, fool.

Calling a person such names as 'arrogant, ignorant pig' are not likely to be argument winners. You ass.

    19. The facts you have supplied yourself, Magna Carta are as follows:

A fellow seminarian shared with you sometime in the past, in Maynooth, that he has a sexual attraction towards children. You reported the matter to someone in authority. Nothing was done due to it being "hearsay".

It is very strange that a young man would admit this to you.

The fact that nothing was done when you raised concerns shows that Maynooth's problems are not a recent development.

Was this seminarian ever ordained? Where is he today? Has he access to children?

It would be very advisable for you to share with the NBSCCC that this person (give his name) admitted to you his predilection in the past.

This All-Ireland independent body can discreetly ascertain if there is (has been) any risk to children.

It is obviously a matter for your own conscience. Personally, I would not be able to rest in receipt of such information until I had passed it on to competent and responsible persons.

    20. You're "splittin' your sides are you Maggie? Cackle away .... "For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity" (Ecclesiastes 7:6).

      Delete
    21. 22:50, the information WAS passed to a 'competent and responsible' person.

Was it really 'very strange' that this young man would admit such a thing to me? Not every paedophile acts upon his attractions; as a 'social worker' (if, indeed, you are who you claim to be), you should know this.

I believed, firmly, that this person would not act upon his attraction, because, in the main, he chose to confide his proclivity to me, even though he knew that I did not share it.

He did not admit to me that he had ever offended in this way, nor that he intended to offend. He appeared totally in control of his proclivity; it was not in control of him.

  4. I honestly think all churches are the same. If he is contacting someone because he just wants to talk, that is fine with me. I wish they would allow married priests and recognise that being gay is very normal. I wish the church would get real and admit that their priests are human beings who are entitled to companionship and a life partner like everyone else.

I am not the poster above at 14.01.but seeing that you asked the question - - - CPE stands for "Clinical Pastoral Education" and is a graded course of study undertaken mainly by those who wish to undertake some type of chaplaincy work, particularly hospital or institutional posts. The student usually has one or more mentors and written and discussion aspects involving tutorials and peer evaluations etc.

  17. If the Church did less navel gazing, chucked the turgid nonsense of Pastores Dabo Vobis and its related texts in the bin, and applied a bit of common sense we'd have great priests and great men in training. As it is any man who is masochistic enough to put himself forward for useless introspection and permit himself to be subject to the prurient gaze of formators, themselves psychologically damaged by being formed in the same system, is hardly likely to turn out well. Take for example celibacy and chastity - the candidate is expected to 'integrate' his sexuality. Now, there's an oft used phrase that is, in fact, entirely without meaning. Try 6/7 years of listening to meaningless drivel about 'integrating sexuality' and one begins to understand why Mr B took to Silver Daddies.

  21. So perhaps 'Gorgeous' is seen as a high flyer (albeit one rather troubled by sex) by his superiors? Many a priest living a double life has been kept on because he also has a great ministry.
I wonder whether there's an element of his superiors actually wanting a handsome seminarian ('See, the church/priesthood is young and sexy!'), while they turn a blind eye to his sexual activity. I find it difficult to believe he and King Puck will not be ordained because if not they would have been thrown out of training by now.

Msgr Farrell was too removed from students. Donal O'Neill just needed his ego massaged and any man could get around Hugh Connolly if they didn't challenge his use of mental reservation.

Maynooth is the reason I know the Irish Church is but a men's club designed to give a place to men who have no real place.

God pays a heavy price in Ireland for man's weaknesses.
