MAYNOOTH CATS ON A HOT TIN ROOF

It seems that we are in for ANOTHER CATS ON A HOT TIN ROOF in Maynooth this summer.

Apart from the news that another member of the DEACONS OF 2016 has sprung surprises on us this week we have learned that there is an open civil war on the seminary corridors between the two gangs the QUEENS and the CULCHIES.

Apparently the QUEENS have not gotten over last summer's swift departure of Gorgeous and King Puck and are blaming the CULCHIES for all the trouble.

The CULCHIES on the other hand are calling the QUEENS nasty spiteful bitches and blaming them for supplying this Blog and other outsiders with in house info.

There was at least one battle royal on the corridors last week between the Q's and the C's. One gang says it was sorted by Fanny, Pryer and The Extractor.

The other gang says that at one point the Gardai were called in. This has been flatly denied by others.

Then yesterday we learned that some seminarians may have been taking spa treatments at Maynooth's posh Carlton House Hotel.

It's spa treatments include:

Facials - Euro 60 - 130.

Full Body Massage - Euro 60 - 130

Gentleman's Retreat - Euro 120.

Ultimate Couple's Package - Euro 170.

A Min i Retreat - Euro 70.

An awful long way from the seminary retreats and 30 day Ignatian Exercises I was subjected to.

PRESIDENT MULLANEY:

Image result for irish bishops conference

I have also heard from a reliable source with access to the Irish Bishop's Conference that at their June meeting - next week - the bishops are going to formally announce that Fanny Mullaney is the new Maynooth president.

Maynooth's answer to Trump - President Fanny Mullaney
President Mullaney, according to my clerical source, has already been informed of his appointment.

Watch for the news conference next week.

--------------------------------------------

So what can we expect from a Mullaney presidency?

More of the same....................More of the same.........................More of the same...........................

Maybe one new adventure could be to take the Spa Treatments away from Carlton House and take them in house?

FANNYS GENTLEMAN'S  EMPORIUM

What kind of treatments could we expect?

"A King Puck Facial" - Euro 60 - 100 - depending on length of treatment?

"A Boxer Byrne Full Body Massage" - Euro 60 - 120 - depending on length of treatment?

"A Celibate Prostate Treatment" - Euro 90?

It has potential ???

  1. A certain Seminary in England did once lay on reflexology sessions for its students. The Seminarians were all pampered like Princesses and it was all free of charge, paid for by the Seminary.

    1. As a gay man from Dublin I can say that many of the seminarians and priests I have been with have foot fetishes. What is it about Catholicism and priesthood that creates foot fetishes?

      Delete
    2. Two of the Down and Connor priests who got into "trouble" - Fr. James Donaghy and Fr Paul Simmons - had foot fetishes.

I these cases reflexology would have been a bad idea.

  2. I am on the Culchies side and hope they kick the Queens Asses. As for Fr Fanny who is to become president of Gaynooth. What a Pussy.

  3. If Fanny is made President, it just proves that the Irish Bishops couldn't care less about reforming Maynooth.

Fanny was the President all along. She done the hiring and firing. All the scandals occurred under her watch.

Hugh "Cowboy" Connolly was just a fundraiser.

    Business as usual.

May the US funds dry up and close it down asap.

    3. "Wee Hippo"??? - what a terrible moniker to give someone who obviously has gone through a lot in recent times in terms of trying to discern God's will in his life and made a courageous decision not to proceed with ordination at this time. I do not think it is either fair or appropriate to speculate on why he made that decision as that is his own business. We should remember him (and his family) in our prayers. Perhaps, a little Christian charity could be shown!!!

  4. Pat, while we are on the topic of seminaries and universities, when are you going to do a full blog on the Dominican former university chaplain, with an interesting Maynooth connection, who figured on here a short while ago? In public he adopted an uber-Catholic persona. In private, however, it was another story.

  5. Where do seminarians get 130 euros for spa treatments? Some people have that amount to live on for a week. I work very hard and could not afford visits to luxury spas.

  6. There was the story told of a certain renowned Dublin seminarian who celebrated his St Joseph's Young Priests Society grant by taking a mate to The George gay club in Dublin?

  7. Maybe if they had had spa days back in those tough old days back in Clonliffe, Maynooth etc in the 50s, 60s and 70s we would not have had the plague of child rapists produced by those institutions with their 'tough' regime? Whatever the faults of Maynooth - and they are many - at least it doesn't churn out sex offenders like the seminaries of yesteryear.

    1. Is it not an exaggeration to say that NONE of the priests from the various dioceses around Ireland who hurt children were trained at Maynooth?

    2. I'll correct my final sentence:

"Whatever the faults of the Maynooth of today (compared to the harsh regime of years gone by)..."

The point being that the Maynooth of today is incomparably superior to the Maynooth of years gone by with its harsh regime, predominately straight etc etc - sounds to me that the old regimes produced rapists, today's crowd merely men who experiment with consenting adults. World of difference.

I'm also bored hearing about the alleged psychological abuse of seminarians today. These snowflakes need to man up and stop a-weeping and a-wailing. Not a single one of them is a vulnerable adult, so if they don't like it, either suck it up or leave.

    3. I take your points.

But don't underestimate the pressures of the gay cabal and being questioned by staff about your intimate sexual life.

      Delete
    4. I agree with you there, it's appalling and I am not endorsing Maynooth by any means. There's no place for gay cabals or invasive questioning. But still, given the horrors it produced in the past (and some regular comments I see that imply a non-existent bygone golden era when men were men and piety reigned), I can't get too excited about a bunfight between Queens and Culchies. Pathetic really.

Though I do wonder that if they do go to this spa, will they opt for the Gentleman's Retreat or the Girls' Escape...:-)

  8. I doubt if reflexology and massage is a cure for pedophilia :-) Dublin. PP.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You are undoubtedly correct as paedophilia is complex and deep-rooted (but reflexology brings the body into harmony and helps to alleviate stress and anxiety and so may leave the person much more calm and grounded. Such a person will be much less likely to turn to other unadvisable ways to alleviate his stress and imbalances and so less likely to make rash decisions with no thought of the consequences.)

  9. Queens and Culchies! I haven't heard the word Culchie since National School. Animal Farm mentality on here today. How can people of such alleged behavior be of any use in the real world.

  10. Based on whats on here Maynooth is not in the real world. I never had the pleasure of experiencing the place. I was sent to Kiltegan for a year and then was shipped of to Rome which was fairly ok in my day. Many have commented how an item on Maynooth leads to more responses on here. I wonder apart from the "cult following" on here how positive change might be effected for the hungering souls of Ireland. PS I cant seem to find the Independent Catholic Website and wondered how its going

  18. Pat, why is it that Maynooth is like a pressure cooker? It is relatively contained all year then come the warmer weather of summer the pressure cooker explodes?

    ReplyDelete
  19. You are right.

But the problem is not that certain people in Maynooth have "issues" - but that Maynooth itself is SYSTEMATICALLY DYSFUNCTIONAL.

For a while this dysfunction is under control and then when the pressure builds up and something new is revealed there is an eruption.

The only way to sort out Maynooth is to close it and start all over again.

The Irish Bishops are being morally negligent here.

And person after person is suffering.

    Its not about "rotten apples".

The barrel is rotten and infected beyond repair.
