Vatican gay orgy: 12 facts you need to know
From left: Capozzi,Coccopalmerio and Francis

ROME, July 6, 2017 (LifeSiteNews
A high-ranking Vatican monsignor who is a secretary to one of Pope Francis’ closest collaborators was arrested by Vatican police after they caught him hosting a cocaine-fueled homosexual orgy in a building right next to St. Peter’s Basilica.
Here are 12 facts about the scandal.
1. Vatican police arrested Monsignor Luigi Capozzi, 49, some two months ago during a raid in which he was caught in the act of hosting a cocaine-fueled gay orgy in the former Palace of the Holy Office.

2. Capozzi managed to evade suspicion from Italian police by using a BMW luxury car with license plates of the Holy See, which made him practically immune to stops and searches.

This privilege, usually reserved for high-ranking prelates, allowed the monsignor to transport cocaine for his frequent homosexual orgies without being stopped by the Italian police.

3. The Vatican-owned building in which the raid happened is currently being used by various high-ranking churchmen, including prefects, presidents, and secretaries to the Roman Curia. Police became suspicious after tenants in the building complained repeatedly about constant comings and goings of visitors to the building during all hours of the night.
4. At the time of the arrest, Capozzi was allegedly so high on cocaine that he was hospitalized for detoxification for a short period in the Pius XI clinic in Rome.

5. Despite Pope Francis’ promises of transparency and of cleaning up the Curia, not a word about the scandal has been spoken by any Vatican officials. Italian media broke the story last week after receiving inside information.
6. Capozzi was shockingly in the running to become a bishop at his boss Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio’s recommendation.
7. Capozzi is bizarrely still listed as an active staff member on the website of the Pontifical Council for the Interpretation of Legal Texts.
8. Capozzi is currently in an undisclosed convent in Italy undergoing a spiritual retreat. There has been no mention of a process of laicization for his transgressions.

9. Capozzi’s boss is Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, the Vatican’s top canonical official. He is one of Pope Francis’ closest collaborators and ardent supporters
10. Coccopalmerio has spoken publicly about what he has called “positive elements" in homosexual relationships. He said that while homosexual relationships are deemed “illicit” by the Church, Catholic leaders, such as himself, must “emphasize” the “positive realities” that he said is present in homosexual relationships.
11. There is speculation that Coccopalmerio knew about the gay orgies and did nothing about them.
12. Coccopalmerio has been in the vanguard of advancing Pope Francis’ makeover of the Catholic Church. This includes writing a book earlier this year that defended Francis’s 2016 Exhortation Amoris Laetitia as allowing civilly-divorced-and-remarried Catholics living in adultery as well as unmarried cohabiting Catholics living in fornication to receive Holy Communion. His book was praised by left-leaning Church leaders, such as Cardinal Blase Cupich, even though it completely contradicted clear Catholic teaching on marriage, the Eucharist, and confession.
PAT SAYS:
This is the latest Vatican scandal involving priests, drugs, cars, smuggling, money etc.
These problems are endemic in the Vatican and in the priesthood around the world.
In Ireland we've had:
Gaynooth Grindr scandal.
The Banbridge Co Down curate on cocaine.
Gorgeous and King Puck.
Barcelona holidays, hotel meals, cars, designer clothes, etc.
There are such problems in The Vatican and in every one of the 5000 dioceses in the world.
The rot is very deep and all pervading.

  1. Pat, Life Site News is NOT a credible source of objective information on anything to do with Pope Francis. They absolutely HATE Pope Francis and everything he stands for. Any "information" they disseminate should be read advisedly.

    2. 00.06 I think it's up to people to decide what is objective information - not you! I don't need advice from you because I'm old enough and ugly enough to make up my own mind. Thank you.

    3. 00:06, you are right. This website is extremely right-wing, theologically ultra-conservative. In terms of policy, I would put it almost in the same league as Novus Ordo Watch, another righ-wing site that despises Pope Francis. (As an aside, I was, er, 'booted off' Life Site News some time ago, not for 'losing the run of myself', but simply for challenging extreme and compassionless comments. I just tried to post another comment there, to see if the ban is still in force. Guess what: it is. Waaaaaaaaah!😂)

Keep this blig from reckless and dangerous words Pat, though I know that's difficult for you. But try and encourage some level of intelligibility to conversations. Mags, go back to your bed.

    3. Have you ever read the Old Testament prophets? If you have, you'll know that such major figures as Isaiah and Jeremiah both refer to the Jews collectively as 'harlot' (slut) for their moral and doctrinal infidelity to Yahweh. So, had they 'slurry' in their minds when they acknowledged and condemned this?

Rome is (and always has) been unfaithful to Christ. And as time passes, the depth and extent of this is becoming more and more shocking.

You would rather conceal the truth about Rome as she concealed the horrible truth about child-abusing clerics. Conspirators like you have had your dark day; it is over. The light of truth will continue to shine, aided by such blogs as this.

    4. I am no conspirator Magna, but I value truth in fullnes, not half truths I value just and honest criticism. I value real, intelligent and cogent debate, not the vindictive and nasty comnents which supoosedly passes as meaningful debate on this blog. Yes, the Church has strayed far from Christ's way, and I abhor that infidelity, but I try to appreciate the imnense and life giving commitment of the religious and priests I encounter. Let's give credit where it's due. I advise you that it's better when you use reasonable, respectful words here you will receive respect in return. But when you morph into your mode of insult, you are nasty, very nasty. Unacceptably so.

  3. It is utterly scandalous, of course, but nothing can be done about it because the Vatican is a rogue state. Italy is almost as bad.

The blog must continue to expose and register any self-righteous pulpit pooves, sexaholics and Viagra junkies, young and old, running amok in the dioceses around these islands.

    1. Also, no one over 70 years of age can be put in jail in Italy with the result the old queens just behave in a frenzied, out-of-control, or unrestrained manner -- not unlike the young queens in Maynooth.

  4. Annoying the neighbours is never a good idea. The Vatican Gendarmes are clearly on the ball. Would that the Gardaí and the PSNI were as effective. Of course hosting a party for gay men at a private residence is no longer a criminal offence in these jurisdictions.

Vatican Monsignors are as liable to drug and sex addiction as the rest of us. This one seems to have been particularly reckless. Appropriate steps have been taken to care for him.

And why a Cardinal should be criticized on this blog for seeing the positives in gay relationships or Pope Francis for encouraging Communion for individual couples in unorthodox situations is really beyond me.

  5. I believe some priests believe they can get away with exhagerated lifestyles to make up for the "unrealistic" conditions the church has placed upon them. There is security that comes with being a priest but also fear of how one would survive should one leave. The result can be for some a strange dualistic lifestyle which sadly can lead to damaging and sometimes illegal choices

  9. 12.25 You may well be right. Many choose marry but often fail. Human nature is far from perfect. It's about recognising and dealing with issues before they fester and ensuring this can be done appropriately. Learning from the past helps prepare for the future in theory anyway. However I often say it's easier playing football from the sidelines. What we need are decent referees and of course the Grace of God.

  11. Living with a vow of celibacy needs a health warning: All too often priests start to think that everybody else is ‘at it’ 24/7 while they struggle with celibacy. Fact and fantasy then becomes a blur and when the priest breaks his vows he ends up in ridiculous situations, such as that described above.
In truth those who are not celibate do not have sex on tap: they are frequently too tired, kept awake by the children, their partner is too tired, they simply need to sleep to be ready for the following day, etc, etc. In real life sex is not on tap – but in the imagination it may all too often appear to be when sex is prevented altogether.
And to quote Fr Myles Riordan (RIP, former Spiritual Director of Maynooth), celibacy keeps you from having sex with one person, your marital vows would have kept you from have sex with the rest.

  12. Pat you're howling at the moon. Save your breath to cool your porridge. No matter how you try to paint the church in a bad light it continues to shine in the world. The people of God are no fools they know that evil people exist in every way of life and the church is no exception. But Christ has promised that he will be with us even to the end of time. So huff and puff all you wish, tbis house is founded on Christ himself.

How then can you reconcile the level of cynicism you clearly have of organised religion and your adherence to quite orthodox constraints such as celibacy?

  18. My 'cynicism', as you put it, is not directed at every thing offered by 'organised religion', but at its abuses and at those responsible for them (principally, the clergy)
