CELIBACY / CLERICAL SEX IN ASIA

I understand that many people are interested in clerical sex scandals at home.

This Blog will continue to deal with those.

BUT we are CATHOLIC and Catholic means UNIVERSAL.

We must be concerned with all that is happening around the Catholic world.

Today this Blog presents a film about what is happening in the most Catholic country im Asia - the Philippines.

Please watch it and CARE.

The next BIG SCANDAl will come from THE MISSIONS - where many Irish missionaries have abused.

PLEASE CARE !!!

KING PUCK AND KERRY:

Clergy of Kerry diocese have been in touch with the Blog to inform is that Deacon Sean "King Puck" Jones have been in touch with us to tell us that Jones is being transferred from Listowel parish to be a deacon in the cathedral in Killarney.

They tell us that the majority of Kerry priests believe that JONES should NOT be ordained and that the move to Killarney is Bishop Ray Browne's LONG GOODBYE to Jones ???

They also believe that the three Maynoopth seminarians dismissed by Ray Browne have suffered a TERRIBLE INJUSTICE !!!

They say that Ray Browne is a nice man to meet but he makes AWFUL DECISIONS !!!

Apparently, these coming few days are the days of the KING PUCK festival in Kerry.

The Kerry priests want to wish Sean Jones:

HAPPY FEAST DAY !!!

  1. These oversexed priests and seminarians, young and old, need constant monitoring lest they occasion scandal. Should they sense the least distraction, they'll be straight back to their old ways, e.g. kneeling at the glory hole instead of the altar, re-activating online dating profiles, or simply go about the streets at random but on the lookout for possible developments.

  2. I think it is well established that sexual abuse and other irregularities is an issue for the world wide church. As for Deacon S J whatever the future holds, wishing him happy feast day is a sense of humour I would prefer not to be part of. To tip the coin how is he being treated in his current environment.

  3. Does the notorious Armagh Fr. X exist?
How does he escape so much otherwise?

  4. Believe you me, the Catholics are totally enlightened as regards gays in comparison to the "religious" mindset of Mr Wells and co.

I grew up on that type of religion - born again, Bible-believing, solid, true blue Ulster Protestants. The gay people are utterly subterranean. They exist but they dare not be known or they are completely ostracised.

Remember Paul Berry? DUP Bright Young Thing? Rising star of Paisleyism? Good, Gospel-singing, Bible-thumping, red-blooded, young Protestant, married man, upstanding Loyalist?

Until he got caught having a "sports massage" in the Ramada Hotel .... from a bloke. A "sports massage" with a "happy ending" but not so happy for Paul as it was the end of his career. The very day it was in the Sunday World - bye bye Paul. Shot at dawn.

Paul of course is not alone. Quite a few like him - even stalwart "ministers of the Gospel" - who like a bit of man love. But they live very deep below the ground. They have to. Only the Roman Church has "perverts".

Jim Wells by the way is a deeply unpleasant and horrible man.

    Gay Prod.

    1. At least he got his comeuppance. I hope his wife also threw him out.

As we know, there are plenty more scum like him around, including straights who enjoy tits-and-a-hand-shandy from female masseuses.

    2. Remember what Arlene said, the DUP find it hurtful to be classed as homophobic because of their objection to same sex marriage. You got to just laugh at that message when you hear the vile language used against gays by young paisley jnr and morons like Jim wells. Not to mention that vile horrible disgusting Iris Robinson and what she equated gays as being. What a fall she had from her high horse. The DUP must realise that some within its ranks are gay particularly some of its loud mouths around the Lisburn area. Sure one in the DUP is shagging a Priest. Arlene we are not that gullible to believe that guff you came out with yesterday.

  5. Anon 7.53: what a most imaginative mind! Do you employ such attention to doing useful, worthwhile acts of kindness for others? Are you as concerned about the truly hurt, poor and marginalised in your community? Endless opportunities for doing Christian, compassionate acts. Get on and do fruitful, life giving and enriching acts of love....

And what about you, yourself?!! You castigate Pat for permitting anonymity and yet you do not identify yourself That rather weakens your argument a tad I fear...

    1. 10.36: The challenge I throw out to you and other bloggers who have an insatiable appetitite for the sins of others - wouldn't it be better using any positive energy for enriching the life of those in our midst who require help, support and acts of kindness. I have little time for the side line critics but who sit idly by and live in a very small world. I help with St. V de Paul and involved in third world project providing education for children in Sudan. Lots of things bloggers could be doing to improve our world.

    2. St V de Paul don't get me going on their money making schemes and directing funds towards its own members and having trips and jollies out for themselves. I don't see much going to the poor but to people who can more than afford it. More transparency urgently needed.

    3. 14.24: Typical ignorance re: your understanding of St. V. De Paul. Go and work with them and you'll find out the wonderful work they do. Kerp your idiotic, stupid comments to yourself. It's people like you whi give humanity a bad name!!

    4. My experience of svp is that the genuine poor don't go near them . Most parish svp groups are ran by snooty old bags who look down on everyone less fortunate than themselves and anyone who has the bravery to ask for help gets gossiped about

    5. Not at all true 18.52. Totally untrue..another excuse for begrudgers who look down on the poor in their communities. Begrudgery of the worst kind. The Society treats all with respect and responds to individual needs. It is done professionally. So let's not make excuses so that we justify our looking from the outside and listening to untruths. Get involved to find the truth.

    6. 18.52: I don't believe a word you say. Not a word. It's rare you get unkind members in St. V. De Paul. All are treated with respect.

  8. If Kerry Diocese selected three people and sent them into formation only to have all three rejected then something is wrong... Either
    a) their selection process is flawed, or
    b) the formation programme is flawed.

A bishop with a spine would stand up for his own selection process (and his own men). Even giving these men the benefit of the doubt they deserve to be sent to any one of the other hundreds of seminaries...

Instead, let us all pray for vocations... we need more vocations to replace those that God sent and the Church destroyed.

    1. Pat, how come the local media are not picking up on Eamonn McCumley???

    2. McCamley claims the story is untrue and there is no evidence. It's basically business as usual in Keady.

    3. Untrue? Is he "Tautha" or not.

      Delete
    4. If the story is untrue why has McCamley - like Trump with N Korea - not threatened to rain "fire and fury such as the world has never seen" on Pat Buckley?

Have you seen this alleged online masturbation footage, Pat?

What about this young fellow who reported it? Where is he in all this? Have his claims been verified? Are they verifiable?

Otherwise, indeed, this blog is most dangerous to innocent people and can't be allowed to continue.

What is to stop anyone with a grudge against any priest alleging he saw Fr with His Johnson out on the internet?

All very strange! And if, as alleged, Armagh diocese slaps a super injunction on newspapers reporting this story, how come this blog gets away with it?

  12. At 14.24 you clearly do not know anything about SVP, if you did you would know that members are helping people in need every day in Ireland since 1844. Members distribute to those in need what is donated to us by others. We are not allowed to give to members within our own conference however if our members do need assistance then this can be applied for by contacting the Regional President.
As for the trips you talk about my own conference organise several trips for families and those elderly people who would otherwise sit in a house by themselves. If we as members go on the trip we pay the same as everyone else.
The conference that I am involved as well as every conference and region publish a yearly financial statement which is independently audited. Regarding who is in need unless you visit a home a talk to someone you will not know their need, the svp members do that and make a decision based on friendship and love for our neighbour, you make an assertion that the people "can more than afford it" based on a judgement without factual basis.
You could reflect on perhaps how judgemental you are and also on whether you think you have the right to judge others because you perhaps consider yourself to be perfect.

  13. 17.10: A wonderful response to the ignorant fool at 14.24. Keep up the great compassionate work. God bless all members of this great Organisation.

    1. Have a free coach trip on the money that is meant to be for The poor. Most oap's get free bus passes anyhow so what's the point hiring an expensive coach to take them - that's only one example of the squander of money by this outfit. Should be ashamed of yourselves.

  14. I haven't visited this blog for some time and it seems to me to have descended into a forum for the demented. The same old drum is being beaten by Pat Buckley with all the vigour and enthusiasm of a lambeg drummer on the glorious 12th. And just like the lambeg beater Pat is locked into a view which is jaundiced and nasty. Pat a moderate approach would be far more effective. Your constant rehash of past events is both tiresome and uninteresting. No matter how hard you try you will not extinguish the love of the Irish people for their church. The brits had 800 years to do it and failed. Despite your assertion of droves defecting from the church the reality is that we enjoy the highest practice rate in Europe. Sure, there are challenges but we as a church are addressing these things together and many wrongs are well on the way to being eliminated.
So Pat as Maureen Potter used to say "Save your breath to cool your porridge". Hibernia semper Fidelis.

  15. For quite some time Pat has been on a personal voyage: to humiliate, denigrate and destroy the good name of others. Like a peeping tom, he stalks the land, camera in hand to photo priests in their homes, depending on innuendo and half truths, encouraging the most vile and nasty anti Catholic sentiment possible, trawling the internet for news we've heard before. Many of the issues blogged here are being addressed by the Bishops. Pat, you benefited materially from the Catholic Church - you held your hand out for everything you could receive. So, less of the drama and victim playing. Give credit where it is due. And, please, give us some good news to lift our spirits! Long live THE TRUE CATHOLIC CHURCH......18.26 is spot on.

  16. Good evening.
Can I start by stating I'm a father of two boys and one girl and currently employed as a Consultant Psychiatrist within Northern Ireland.
My kids are aged between 14 and 7 and all have played role's within the Church from Altar Serving to singing in the choir.
My kids are involved in one of the safest institutions that exsist, gladly the dreadful deeds from the past has marked a way for a new beginning and brought about new ways of which it protects my children and future generations from that vile abuse that exsisted. The Church also is a 'no safe haven' for those that join either as Priest or lay.
In my job I sadly deal with abuse be it physical, psychological or sexual on a daily basis within my clinics and committed on children from within the sanctuary and safety of their very own homes and perpetrated by evil family members.
This type of abuse is been carried out by many every day in all parts of this country which is very difficult and stressful for the authorities to manage and keep a tab on.

I therefore would love for you Pat' to spend more time praying for these victim's and all victim's from the past that suffered at the hands of the Church. These crimes can never be excused or forgotten but by prayer and God's forgiveness hopefully we can move from them darkened days.
The Church is not all 'evil' as you suggest on many occasions.
I ask you as a 'so called man off the cloth' to pray for me and my colleagues that deal with men and women that have abused their children, a most difficult task but hopefully our work yields fruit and in a way helps eradicate these evil deeds.
I think these type of deeds by you would show you as a true example of your vocation.
    Take care.

  18. The windbag at 18.26 and 20.04 sounds the same person from the vitriol you spew out and the 'holier than thou' attitude. There is a simple solution if you don't like what you read on here - the solution is Don't Read it. You would be better served visiting the Church Millitant blog or similar such nonsense. Sounds as if you've taken great acceptance of Pat taking pictures of Priests homes. Is that maybe a bit too near the knuckle for you as it explains why you are getting so hot under the collar, perhaps it's a bit too close for comfort for you.
