DOES IRISH CHURCH HAVE A NEW YORK GAY SEX SCANDAL?

THE ARCHDIOCESE OF NEW YORK HAS BEEN IN THE THROES OF A CLERICAL GAY SEX SCANDAL FOR YEARS IF NOT DECADES.

The accusation is that a CLERICAL GAY CABAL has taken over New York Archdiocese and is so powerful that people like Cardinal Dolan and other church officials are unable to sort it out.

It also seems that this clerical gay cabal is in charge of other dioceses around the USA and is even well connected to the clerical gay cabal at The Vatican.

Those who have studied it says that it involves cardinals, bishops, seminary authorities and seminarians.

Heere is one article from the NEW YORK POST about one particular case.

NEW YORK POST 2015
FATHER PETER MIQUELI (RIGHT) AND HIS "SEX MASTER" KEITH CRIST
A Catholic priest swiped collection-plate donations to pay for drug-fueled sex romps with a heavily muscled S&M “master,” a lawsuit charged.
Parishioners claim the Rev. Peter Miqueli has stolen at least $1 million since 2003 while leading churches on Roosevelt Island and in The Bronx, where he is currently pastor of St. Frances de Chantal in Throggs Neck.
Their suit alleges he used the money to act out unholy fantasies as a sexual “slave,” blowing $1,000 at a time on bondage-and-discipline sessions where a “homosexual sex ‘master’ ” — identified in court papers as Keith Crist — “would force Father Miqueli to drink Keith Crist’s urine.”
Miqueli also spent $60,000 in 2012 alone for “illicit and prescription drugs” he used with Crist, bought a $264,000 home in Brick, NJ, and paid $1,075.50 a month for his master’s East Harlem apartment, court papers say.
Plaintiffs’ lawyer Michael G. Dowd also said that Miqueli at one point had Crist living in the rectory at St. Frances de Chantal but that Crist had since been kicked out.
The suit, which was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday, also charges that the Archdiocese of New York and Cardinal Timothy Dolan knew about Miqueli’s “illegal scheme” and did nothing to keep it from growing into “the monster it is today.”
“This lawsuit seeks to finally put an end to this truly sinful conduct so that St. Frances de Chantal parish can regain the strength, spirituality and faith it once had before Father Miqueli arrived,” the court papers say.
The suit says that during the summer of 2014, maintenance workers at St. Frances de Chantal saw “several unstacked piles of cash, each approximately one foot high, scattered throughout Father Miqueli’s rectory residence.”
In addition to skimming $20 bills from the collection plate there, Miqueli ripped off money raised to buy a new pipe organ at his former church, St. Frances Xavier Cabrini on Roosevelt Island, according to the suit.
He also put Crist in charge of the Cabrini thrift shop, where Miqueli “misappropriated and diverted money . . . for his own personal use” and destroyed financial records to cover up the theft, the suit says.
An on-and-off girlfriend of Crist’s, Tatyana Gudin, told The Post that the hulking bodybuilder once hurt his knees while having sex with Miqueli in a bathtub.
The suit seeks unspecified damages from Miqueli, Crist, Dolan and the archdiocese on grounds that include negligent supervision, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and unjust enrichment.
Dowd said, “I feel really bad for the parishioners,” and he estimated that Miqueli “had to have taken $1 million from each parish.”
KEITH CRIST

“We’ve done a lot of homework. This is a bad guy,” Dowd said.
He added, “The thing that’s really amazing to me is: How could this guy be acting this way for nine years or so and the archdiocese does nothing?”
A spokesman for the archdiocese said it “has . . . taken these allegations seriously and has been investigating them.”

Crist hung up on a reporter, and Miqueli declined to answer a call through a church receptionist.

2017 UPDATE FROM CRIMEWATCH:

His parishioners looked at Father Peter Miqueli as the shepherd of their flock. Now he's called a wolf in sheep's clothing and a dog collar.
Miqueli is accused in a civil lawsuit of partaking in unholy communion with a secret "boy toy" prostitute he allegedly paid from a slush fund of more than a million dollars, allegedly stolen from plate offerings and parish bank accounts -- all allegations Father Miqueli denies.
The former priest is now accused in a civil lawsuit of paying for the pleasure of his sex master's services with money he was allegedly stealing from the offering plates and bank accounts of his New York parish, as well as a $250,000 vacation home on the Jersey Shore, allegedly with an S&M dungeon, said to have been bought with cash.
Father Peter Miqueli was allegedly being tortured and humiliated to the height of ecstasy by his male prostitute, Keith Crist. Until Crist's live-in girlfriend, a stripper named Tatyana Gudin, confessed to all father Miqueli's sins.
Gudin says she chose to send several emails to the head of the New York Archdiocese Cardinal Timothy Dolan, culminating in one long detailed letter revealing everything she knew about the priest's alleged crimes and sins.
Roosevelt Island parishioner and reporter Linda Heimer finally had enough information from the letter, as well as her own investigation, to co-write four stories about the scandal.
That was enough proof for 14 parishioners from both the Bronx and Roosevelt Island to file a civil lawsuit against Father Miqueli alleging negligent conduct and malfeasance of more than a million dollars of church funds -- all of which Father Miqueli denies.
Miqueli resigned from his post in the Bronx shortly after the lawsuit was filed.
Keith Crist has not responded to our numerous requests for comment, but his dad says Gudin's allegations against his son are false.
We reached out to the New York Archdiocese. They have taken action saying: "Father Miqueli does not have an assignment at this time. His case is in the hands of the district attorney."
Patrice O’Shaughnessy, from the Office of the Bronx District Attorney, tells Crime Watch Daily: "The lawsuit is a civil matter so we would not have any comment on it. The investigation is still open. There are no court dates or hearings coming up since he is not charged with anything."

The Bronx D.A’s Office said they are conducting a criminal investigation.

IRELAND:

My question today is:"DOES IRELAND HAVE A NEW YORK TYPE PROBLEM?

In recent times on this Blog we have seen many instances of "STRANGE GOINGS ON" in Maynooth Seminary and in Irish dioceses.

We have seen priests and seminarians behave in the same way as in New York and we have seen bishops, like Cardinal Dolan turn a blind eye.

In fact, if what is going on in New York is true - and there is vast evidence that it is - then can we take seriously at all Cardinal Dolan's visitation of Maynooth and his subsequent report ???

DUBLIN:

We have seen the various activities and stories about Gorgeous who Diarmuid Martin plans to ordain in November.

We have seen Diarmuid Martin stop publishing his diocesan changes and he reappoints publicly known gay priests to rural parishes.

We have seen the alleged rape in a Bray presbytery which was reported to the Garda.

ARMAGH:

We have had the Rory Coyle debacle.

We have had the Keady debacle with the PP masturbating on line.

We have had the PP of Pomeroy who showed parents naked men on his computer made PP in Co. Louth.

DERRY:

We have had the sudden disappearance of the curate of Lonftower Parish.

We have had the Raphoe priest exposing himself to a boy in a Derry toilet recently promoted to PP.

We have had the PP cohabiting with a woman moved from parish to parish by Dickey McKeown.

WATERFORD:

We have had Father Shirley Bassey performing on RTE television.

We have had the story of the priest who abused a little girl living in a cottage in Phonsie's garden.

And we have people talking about problems in Galway, Clonfert, Meath etc., etc.

I think it is quite justifiable for us to worry that we have an "IRISH NEW YOUR PROBLEM" with priests and seminarians getting up to all sorts and seminary authorities AND BISHOPS cover it all up!

And UNLIKE AMERICA we have a FEARFUL AND SEBSERVIANT MEDIA afraid of the Irish Catholic Church and its bishops and threatened law suits and injunctions.

Let me tell you, Dear Reader, you do not know the half of what is going on out there !!!

VIDEO DISCUSSION FROM CHURCH MILITANT ABOUT NEW YORK GAY CABAL

***** Please note I do not support Church Militant or all of their views.

I publish this video to give readers a glimpse into the New York problem.

If ONE TENTH of it is true it is worrying.

And - how much of this is happening in Ireland ???

  1. Two points of correction - the actions of the Raphoe priest in question did not involve minors as you suggest. Secondly, he was made a parish priest six years ago, so it can hardly be counted as a recent appointment.

    2. The ghastly editor of Catholic Truth Scotland blog, Patricia McKeever, recently commented on Fr Shirley DBE as follows.

      Quote

I have today received a reply from the diocese of Waterford and Lismore. I asked, specifically, if he (Fr Shirley DBE) remains a priest in good standing despite his career as a “drag” artist (words to that effect) or were his details still on the website because it had not been updated. Incredibly, the unsigned reply reads:

The priest in question is on compassionate leave.

To which I replied that, therefore, he IS still a “priest in good standing” while the SSPX clergy are in an “irregular” situation. Truly, you could not make this stuff up! End of my cheeky reply.
Truly, TRULY, you could not make this stuff up. And, for the record, I have informed the Irish priest who insisted that Fr G was no longer “a priest in good standing” that, amazingly, he is, too, at all, at all…

  4. I don’t see any connection with New York. Long before I started reading this blog, I often read stories in the press about dishonest priests stealing church funds to finance their outrageous double-lives. It’s a hazard of the job. 7. I used to work in a hotel near Knock and we had a large group stay from New York. One man I complained to my boss about was being rude to me, clicked his fingers at me, was drunk on some occasions and was a loudmouth. He complained about the food, his hotel room and said the wine selection wasn't to his taste. He complained about me and other staff. I thought what an arrogant ignorant man. What shocked me the most was that the bar man later told me he was the Cardinal of New York, Dolan. All his alcohol was put on New Yorks Amex card and there was a lot of brandy on that card. When I was dealing with him he never dressed as a Cardinal or a Priest as I only served him in the restaurant. I left my job after that. I'm on a better paid job now dealing with nicer people.

  9. Rory Coyle wrote this message to his former parishioners last November – he says that he has decided to take some time away from a ministerial appointment.... given what he did, I personally do not believe that he should be allowed to work as a priest again.

Dear People of the Parish of Armagh As my time in the Parish of Armagh concludes, I sincerely thank you for your ongoing support and prayers. I apologise to you for the behaviour and actions which precipitated my leaving the parish. I feel I have let you down, and caused you great hurt and disappointment. From my heart I apologise for the mistakes I made. I am truly sorry. In March 2016 I asked Archbishop Eamon for some time off for personal and spiritual support. Since then, I have had the opportunity to engage in a period of personal discernment. I have reflected, in a supportive environment, on the mistakes and weaknesses that are mine, and I believe I am making progress in maturity and integration. I recently met with Archbishop Eamon to discuss my next steps. I have decided to take some further time away from a ministerial appointment. During this time, I hope to complete the postgraduate studies that I had begun, as well as avail of the continuing professional support that has been offered to me. I feel privileged and honored to have served in the parish of Armagh and I am deeply grateful to have been part of your lives. You have blessed me and I thank you. Please keep me in your prayers as you are always in mine. God bless, Fr Rory.

When he was growing up he was bullied in school because of his sexuality. I like to think he has moved from that shameful experience of his life, but I am not so sure.
People might think it's cool and great to be gay in modern Ireland, even now that we have same-sex marriage and a gay Taoiseach.
It's far from it. People still see gay people as being 'different.' People treat my son differently than his brothers and sister and this causes me great pain.
You are a gay man, Bishop Pat. You have endured the struggle. Maybe you could speak of your experience of growing up gay in Ireland, how did people react when you came out, how did your family respond.

  11. 'No other church (non-Roman Catholic) has the means of salvation'? (From the guy in the garish green tie in the Voris video). Wow! This is from pre-Vatican I ecclesiology. And there was I thinking that Christ is the means of salvation, not any church.

Then Voris himself, playing God by pronouncing on the eschatological fate of certain individuals. (Cardinal Timothy Dolan's heading for Hell!) Voris follows this by telling his viewers that priests are ordained 'to save souls'? (Really! I thought this was Christ's task.)

I'm sorry, but I find it extremely difficult to take seriously (and not to laugh at) people as self-righteously hypocritical and morally smug as Michael Voris. (Did I mention 'as theologically unsound'?)

Voris is driven by fear of God's judgement on his own self-confessed, promiscuously homosexual past. He is trying to appease the divine wrath by making what he considers atonement for his sins; hence his alarmist style of moral crusading. In the process, Voris has become an ultra-conservative Catholic with extreme views; like all such, he is not to be trusted, either intellectually or morally.

Charity forbids me from calling Voris 'an absolute "nutter" '.

  12. It may be over-simplistic but I can't help thinking of the gay Cardinal Spellman of New York. Perhaps he put sympathetic people in positions where they could hide his lifestyle. If he did a gay mafia in that diocese would go back at least to the 1950s.
I'm not surprised at Dolan doing nothing. Nothing is the church's normal reaction except when forced by law to do something. It even just denied it when the UN determined it was complicit in torture.
For this reason I don't doubt that every diocese and order has these sort of stories going on. We only don't know because they've been hushed up.

Anyone from Maynooth in the late 80s/early 90s remember the names of the two Derry priests, not long ordained, who were in a relationship with each other and who burned their ordination vestments to celebrate leaving the priesthood?

And who was the Armagh deacon, when Cardinal O'Fiach was on the throne. This deacon suddenly appeared in Maynooth in IVth Divine, on a transfer from the Irish College, which was a most unusual occurrence. This was in the late 80s. The deacon was very handsome, and he used to get drunk and prowl the corridors of St Mary's House in Maynooth, knocking on seminarians doors late at night, asking for sex, sometimes forcibly.

I am a gay man, and I am a lay man who sings who my local parish choir.
Growing up in the 1970's was difficult for gay people. There was just silence about it. Total silence.
When AIDS broke out in the 1980's it was a social death. Some of my friends got bashed for being gay and sadly some died by suicide, the pressure was too much.
I agree with you- people might think it's great to be gay. Maybe if your young but if you are getting on like me, it can be a lonely life. It might be ok if you live in the city but in rural Ireland, it's very different.

There have been times when I've went to bed hugging my pillow with tears in my eyes. I know it might sound sad or lonely and some people might think less of me.
I feel for the priests who are struggling with their sexuality. I've met some nice priests over the years, some priests who have helped me to take away my shame over my sexuality.

It really does show the fallen nature of mankind, and calls into question what has been going on in some of these seminaries. It reminds me of a book I read many years ago called "Goodbye Good Men" which was all about how the seminaries had been filled with homosexual men who were then acting this out with one another in the seminaries. In fact in some seminaries in the US heterosexual men were kicked out simply for being heterosexual, or for frowning upon the activities of some of the homosexual seminarians.

Personally I don't give a damn about the sexuality of the priests or seminarians. What I do care about is that they make a public commitment to live celibacy. If you can't do it (I can forgive a slight slip up) then go and do something else. If you don't agree with it join another church or leave. We ask the same of married people, to keep their commitments so why not the clergy.
