Gay sex and dodgy banking in the Vatican: Latest book exposes Catholic corruption

The Italian journalist who was on trial for publishing confidential Vatican documents has released another book documenting gay sex in the Vatican's youth seminary and the vast amounts in Mother Theresa's bank account.
Gianluigi Nuzzi told reporters a copy of Original Sin, that went on sale on Thursday, had been sent to the Vatican's chief prosecutor over allegations of sex involving a child inside the Holy See, according to Crux.

Yara Nardi/ReutersItalian journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi surrounded by the media after a news conference for his new book "Merchants in the Temple" in Rome. This is one of two new books by Italian journalists depicting a Vatican plagued by mismanagement, greed, cronyism and corruption and where Pope Francis still faces stiff resistance from the old guard to his reform agenda. The books have been condemned by the Vatican.

The Vatican did not immediately comment on the accusations.
Nuzzi said Mother Theresa's account with the infamous Vatican bank was so large that the whole institution would have collapsed if she withdrew her funds. However the Calcutta-based missionary trusted the officials although they were 'more acquainted with the jet set of the world of film' than 'the poor of Mother Teresa', Nuzzi claims.
The journalist also discusses the alleged gay-subculture in the Vatican's St Pius X pre-seminary for middle and high schoolers considering the priesthood. The book includes a letter from a now gay ex-seminarian who described how a priest used to come into their dormitory at night to have oral sex with one of his roommates, who was under 18 at the time.
Neither the roommate nor the priest were identified.
The book comes after Nuzzi along with fellow journalist Emanuele Fittipaldi were put on trial by the Vatican for publishing books based on illegally leaked documents that exposed greed, mismanagement and corruption at the highest levels of the Catholic Church. In July 2016, after an eight-month trial, the Vatican's criminal court declared that it had no jurisdiction to prosecute them.

Bombshell new book alleges underage gay sex in Vatican dorm, shady banking
THE journalist who was put on trial over the “Vatican Leaks” has written an explosive new book alleging a host of Catholic sins.
THE Italian journalist who was put on trial by the Vatican for publishing confidential documents has written a new book alleging a host of Catholic sins, including gay sex in the Vatican’s youth seminary.

Gianluigi Nuzzi’s Original Sin went on sale Thursday. At a news conference, Nuzzi said his lawyers had hand-delivered a copy to the Vatican’s criminal prosecutor, saying at least one of the seminarians was a minor at the time of the alleged escapades.

The Vatican didn’t immediately comment.

The book reproduces documents from the Vatican’s scandal-marred bank, showing multimillion-dollar accounts in the names of Popes Paul VI and John Paul II and their private secretaries. And it alleges that hidden powers in the Vatican were blocking the reforms of Pope Francis and his predecessor, Benedict XVI.
The book delves into the case of one of the Vatican’s biggest mysteries, the 1983 disappearance of Emanuela Orlandi, the 15-year-old daughter of a Vatican employee.

And it gathers together years of exposes into the gay subculture of the Vatican. The new claims concern the Vatican’s St. Pius X pre-seminary for middle and high schoolers who are considering a possible vocation to the priesthood.

Nuzzi reproduces a letter and testimony from a gay ex-seminarian who recounted how an adult, now a priest, used to come into his dorm room and have oral sex with his roommate.

The book reproduces a 2014 letter from the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith to the ex-seminarian, saying it had determined that no sexual abuse of a minor had occurred but that it was referring the case to the Vatican’s office for clergy.

Nuzzi told reporters Thursday that the roommate was indeed younger than 18 when the encounters began. Neither the roommate nor the priest were identified.
Nuzzi and fellow journalist Emmanuele Fittipaldi were put on trial in a Vatican court in 2015 after both published books based on leaked documents that exposed greed, mismanagement and corruption at the highest levels of the Catholic Church.

In July 2016, after an eight-month trial, the Vatican’s criminal court declared that it had no jurisdiction to prosecute them. The court did, however, convict two other people for conspiring to leak the documents, and absolved a third.
PAT SAYS:

Nuzzi seems to know his way around the Vatican and seems to have a lot of information thereon.

Some people had thought that all the scandal in the Catholic Church and Vatican has been made public.

Far from it!

In fact all that come out in the past number of years in only the tip of the iceberg.

Some Catholics are not happy that all of this is coming out - and that the bad news is being exaggerated by anti Catholic people and media.

In fact these critics are doing the Catholic Church a great favour - the favour that comes with CLEANSING and the favour that comes with SHING LIGHT INTO VERY DARK PLACES.

It will of course lead to a snaller Catholic Church.

But it may also lead to a purer Catholic Church?

O FELIX CULPA !  O HAPPY FAULT !

  1. The Catholic Church will never be purified. The rot and poison runs too deep. It has sold its soul to Satan.

  2. The Catholic Church, correctly understood, is infinitely more than the Vatican, because of Jesus Christ.

There is good and evil in the Church, from the top to the bottom, as Our Lord said there would be, in the Parable of the Wheat and the Darnel. Therefore, “let them both grow until the harvest ..... “.

    1. 11:35, those in the Vatican, and those in the episcopacy, are in positions of power and influence much greater than those at 'the bottom' of the Catholic Church 'pecking order'; they have, therefore, opportuity to do greater evil and damage to the Church as a whole.

Catholic bishops, through the magisterium of the Church, have done the greatest damage of all, since they (except in the earliest days of Christianity) have never taught unqualified respect for human life, something that would be anathema to Christ. Respect for such life was fundamental to him as (according to Matthew's gospel) he distilled Mosaic Law into two commandments: first, love of God above all else; and second, love of neighbour.

How many evils have flowed, across the centuries, from this flawed magisterial doctrine? If one does not teach unqualified respect for human life, then it shouldn't surprise anyone when others arbitrarily follow suit by advocating such things as unrestricted abortion.

  4. The unbalanced sweeping overstatement at 10.22 is inflammatory and very unfair and hurtful to millions of people who day and daily do their work and prayer and are true to the teaching of the Church of which they are an integral oart.
We have not "sold our souls to Satan"
That cruel jibe fills me with horror.
    So unjustified.

    1. 11:54 the comment is typical is the mad, bigoted, ranting nonsense you often read here from people who are not right in the head.

    3. 11:54 & 12:26 unless those absolute imbeciles of bishops, cardinals and this current pope (read dope) actually do something, you will have to get used to such comments. And it is the many perverts who you seem to be protecting and enabling who are not right in the head. Not genuinely concerned catholics and christians and parents. I tell you one thing NEVER will my son enter any godforsaken seminary unless there is a major clean up of the Vatican and dioceses. No matter how much he wanted to be a priest. And I will stand before God with my conscience clear knowing that I protected him from such filth.

    4. Poor you. You would criticise the poster who says that without reference to those who are corrupt and contaminating the Church... the comment at 10.22 is not the real problem. (And i am not the poster of it).

As for 12.26's reply - it is invalid. You attack the poster not the comment. Tut tut

    5. 13:45, if your son had a genuine vocation to the priesthood and he wanted to try that vocation in the seminary, if he is over 18, then there is nothing you can do to stop him. So wise up and get over yourself. Your delicious draft of self righteous indignation has gone straight to your head.

    6. But he/she doesn't just "attack the poster" in a vacuum.. He objects to the comments and attitude of the other poster as demonstrated in the nasty post. That is quite a different matter.

    7. Dear 16.13 - it is an attitude within itself to dismiss all objections as being mad and belonging to people who are nit right in the head. The bigotry is in both the comment and the reply.

    9. 13.45. Hope by now you've calmed down. Your unnecessary, apoplectic and over the top comments and ignorant slur on our Bishops would make me worry about your son if he ever decided to become a priest. God forbid he's of a weak mind as you'd be tough father to please. There are some very fine Bishops and Priests among us. Don't paint all of them with such wide sweeping judgments. If your son ever considers priesthood, you better pray hard as you won't ever find the "perfect church". Send him to the missions. My brother is presently ministering in Brazil and would teach you and your son a lesson or two about real life!

    12. Well, well, well I see elements of the mafia are out today sent on another damage limitation fire fighting exercise. Problem is that the fire is getting too big to put out. I don't know what lessons your brother @ 22:34 would teach 13:45's son. Your inappropriate and arrogant comment won't do much to make him rethink his decision, however.

  9. I naively believed when in college that the strange goings on in the institutional church of the middle ages could never survive into modern times. How wrong could I be. I recall Hegel's Dialectic of Argument Counter Argument and Compromise. The wheel never stops turning. Perhaps its time to reinvent the church. The Little (I dont like the word little) Brothers is a step in the right direction. Do initiatives like this have an umbrella or banner they can relate to in order to promote the profile. There are risks with expansion but such is life

The Little Sisters of the Poor.

The little means small against the greatness of God.

  12. Magna Carta, I see that you accuse people of 'ad hominem attacks' quite frequently rather than answering your point(s). You've clearly never read a Latin primer in your life. Why mis-use Latin when the English 'personal attack' is quite adequate? 'Ad hominem' relates to the use of a person's arguments against them and has nothing to do with personal comments. You, sir, are not only a nasty piece of work but you are also PRETENTIOUS.
