FEEDBACK AFTER ICR BLOGS

OVER THE TWO DAYS OF BLOGS ABOUT THE IRISH COLLEGE IN ROME OUR EMAIL HAS BEEN VERY BUSY WITH PEOPLE HAVING CONCERNS ABOUT SEMINARIANS, PRIESTS AND MEMBERS OF RELIGIOUS ORDERS HAVING A LOT OF VERY ACTIVE GAY MEMBERS:

HERE is A SELECTION OF THE EMAILS:

NAMES REDACTED:

Has Xxxxxxx & Xxxxxxx diocese,  Xxxxxxxxxxx been tiptoeing around the sauna again. Butter wouldn't melt but I have a few stories about him!

Does the openly gay Fr Xxxxxxxx from Xxxxxxxxxx diocese keep it in his pants?

Pat, you need to take a look at those young Irish Xxxxxxxxxxx in Rome. Plenty of sexual energy there beneath the traddie veneer. Word is one of them, Fr. Xxxxxx Xxxxx, has a Spanish monk boyfriend at XXXXXXXXX.

Does anyone know where the previous Irish College rector's friend, Enda is now? Is it true he works in the Vatican in place of Cloynes O Brien? Enda was a character. A Knight of the Holy Sepulcher and friend of old Seanie Boy in Armagh.

What about Xxxxxxx Xxxxx from Xxxxxxxx? He had a part time job working for XXXXX XXXXXXX. Favours, favours, and a fondness for carabinieri, the gay bar "Hangar" near the Irish College and the Sauna Pontifica.

HANGAR GAY BAR ROME - FAVOURITE OF CLERICS AND SEMINARIANS

The Irish College has been a gay joke for decades. Remember all those problems in the early 2000s with the very right-wing D & C gang listening at the wall only to be shocked at hearing "Give it to me Xxxxxxx! Give it to me Xxxxx!" Lol! I don't know if they were more shocked by the physical act, or that XXXXX XXXXXX of Xxxxxxxx was begging Xxxxxxxx for it. Xxxxxxx and Xxxxxx were put out to graze for a few months and then ordained. Xxxxxxx is now married in Xxxxx and Xxxxxx had to move from Xxxxxx to make way for Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxxx

Pat Look at the new canon lawyer for the Xxxxxxx Diocese Fr. Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx and his partner Fr. Xxxxx Xxxxxxx. Xxxxx likes to play dress up but he is big queen. They have been spotted on the beaches in Portugal :-)

Bishop Pat, Please investigate Fr Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx of St Xxxxxxxx in Xxxxxxxxxxxxl. He is a highly ambitious and unpleasant man, having driven many long-standing families from his parish. It is well known, that he is in an open relationship with Fr Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx,  of Xxxxxxxxxxxxx in Xxxxxxxx.. The two spent some time together during their seminary training, and have been going on holidays, out on dates, and used any chance to be together ever since. Fr Xxxxxxxx has also been known to refuse couples from being married in his parish, because he claims not to have 'personally seen them' attend Mass weekly, despite the fact some of them are very devout. The Xxxxxxxxx Order in general needs further investigation

Sean Brady knew well about Fr. Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx (PP Xxxxxxx) and Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxx  (PP of Xxxxxxxxx). Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx was moved from his previous parish due to another misunderstanding and was moved to Xxxxxxxx and time away. It involved a married man. Armagh has had one or two of them misunderstandings now Pat. These two are probably going to be one of the biggest scandals in the diocese and Ireland Pat.

IT SEEMS THAT SEMINARIES, RELIGIOUS ORDERS, THE PRIESTHOOD AND THE CITY OF ROME ARE GREAT PLACES TO ACTIVELY GAY, HAVE PROMISES OF CELIBACY OR VOWS OF CHASTITY AND WEAR A COLLAR OR A HABIT!

THE PHENOMENON IS MORE WIDESPREAD THAN MANY HAVE THOUGHT.

    2. Remember the scandal in Rome a few years ago when the abbot of Santa croce in Jerusalem was deposed and defrocked and sent back to live with his mamma in Milan? A little while afterwards all the young Mexican Cistercians there were sent packing and the monastery was closed! All sorts of shennanigens according to the Italians...sexual and financial.

    3. Yes, and talking of monks, the abbot of Montecassino, Pietro Vitorelli, a big friend of Fr Michael Collins of Dubkin diocese and some of the Glenstal crowd. He was all over the Italian media when he got the sack a few years ago...orgies, drugs, you name it.

    5. Why do they all feel immune in Rome? Would have thought it was a bit of a fish bowl? Or are all the fish gay and actively so?

    6. What about Bishop John Magee? Who is protecting him? Nothing has leaked about his Roman holiday!

    7. The Beda and the Venerable English College have always been great places for gay sex.

    8. And the Teutonic College in the Vatican. Now if those walls would talk! Wasn't Benedict a regular visitor there and a certain Fr Martin of Dublin a resident?

    9. Bishop Pat, the kind of comment at 00:48 is scurrilous. Simply hinting at sexual impropriety is not evidence of wrongdoing.

      Produce evidence, not innuendo.

    11. And what the rumour was at the time too was ...that when the wife told the Pp about who she found in bed with her husband...he, the Pp slapped her across the face.
I could well believe that too.

    12. The English College has always been the gayest seminary in the world, very closely followed by Maynooth, Oscott and the Teutonic.

  2. It is about time these names are not blocked out and all should exposed as the lying hypocrites they are. I am sick and tired of this. Name and shame them. Loyal parishioners need to know the facts and need a sincere reality check. I have told many of my family and friends in our Derry Diocese of certain things that Bishop Pat has reported on here, and they were shocked. Especially when it concerns their diocese, and especially their own parish e.g. Long Tower in Derry.

    1. I totally agree with you they should be named and shamed but the first port of call is to their Bishop's and copied to the New papal Nuncio who stands no nonsense and as you all know Pope Francis has changed the rules for Bishop's since last October and that is likely how + Pat got a reply from the Bishop the other day BISHOPS must take action.
But some people like to mouth off on blogs so lets hope they write or email the Bishops as the Church does not want these Priests at all.
Or is it all gossip on this blog we have had Bishops dead and still alive so it is the TRUTH the Church needs and they will be OUT.

    2. Sorry, I posted that in haste. There are no strange goings-on in Long Tower. The last upset there involved Fr Roland Colhoun being demoted and banished to the Prod Waterside as a punishment for celebrating the TLM.

      Delete
    3. Is it the case that the only Latin Roland knows is Kyrie eleison, and that’s Greek?

      Delete
    4. He celebrated it well. Even John Hume and his wife went to it. Roland was one of the nicest people in Maynooth.

    5. When you say ‘well’ do you imply ‘with understanding?’

  3. Of course the city of Rome is a great place to be actively gay and a cleric/religious. It goes all the way to the Vatican. One of the papal MCs was notorious, but he seems to have been moved out by papa Franny. The MCs nickname was Jessica and most gay men in Rome had heard of Jessica. Many encountered him at private gay parties and some used to visit him in his office at the congregation for sacraments. Jessica liked carabinieri too.

    ReplyDelete
  4. The Roman saunas have always had their share of regular priest customers. Amazing how brazen some of them were given their very public positions. Professors in Theology facultys, parish priests, Italian and foreign, and many a cleric working in the Curia, even the odd archbishop. This is all taken in its stride by Roman gay guys who have seen it all and are either unshockable or utterly cynical.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Well Enda is in the right place now! After Jessica they need to keep up tradition in the congregation for Sacraments. Wouldn't do to have the gay quota of tops drop too low.

    1. likely another mistake because I can assure you if this is correct Cardinal Robert Sarah would not have them in his department and the last place that will want scandal is in the Congregation of Devine Worship and the Sacrament after all Archbishop Roche is suppose to be come back in October to Southwark to replace Peter Smith.

It’s the wall-facers who like the silk, birettas, lace and cappas. They also like to show themselves off from behind. Isn’t that what fiddle backs were designed that way for?

  7. The situation can hardly be described as a "phenomenon" if the priesthood is reportedly 80% gay. The cause or explanation for the situation is, therefore, not in question. Also all those redacted stories become repetitive and boring after a while.

It's a brand name of a swimsuit manufacturer, now also selling other swimming associated stuff like goggles.
But what seems to be referred to here is the type of male swimwear which are brief and tightly fitting, leaving much to the imagination of those that way inclined! I used wear them about 30/40 years ago, but for competitive swimming purposes I hasten to add! Being tightly fitting they provide much less drag than the now more popular leisure type of male swimwear which look more like shorts designed for general sports and lounging about on the beach.

I worked alongside him in Enniskillen. He was totally unbiddable, was frequently late when on the 8am Mass, ad-libbed his way through the Eucharist Prayers and treated Confession as a counselling session, which I've always considered an abuse. He's friendly with another ex-Clogher priest who lives in Omagh, Martin Grainger, who has done the sound systems in a lot of churches, including Lough Derg and Maynooth College Chapel. Martin has zero people skills, though that's common enough in Clogher diocese, from the top down.

      Delete
    3. Yes, 17:31, the confessional should not, as a rule, be used for counselling. But I shouldn't call occasional counselling there 'an abuse'.

    4. Clogher PP (Fermanagh)27 January 2018 at 19:40

He treated every confession as if it was on the psychiatrist's couch, whether the penitents wanted it or not. At least that was how it was reported to me. He was unqualified, it was an unequal relationship and confessors went there seeking absolution, not psychoanalysis.

      Delete
    5. If those people had truly repented, then they already were absolved, by Christ, the moment they repented.

If a person repents on a Monday, Jesus does not delay his forgiveness until the next sacramental confession.

Roman Catholic priests are superfluous baubles, like the one you mentioned in your post.

  20. The interminable stories related on here today about this guy and that guy are all very familiar. It’s part-and-parcel of gay life whether you are associated with the church, or just part of a gay clique at the local gay bar. An older gay friend used to always say, “Oh, well, that’s gays for you!”

However, I will still be returning to read about any developments or reforms on celibacy, but I believe this drip by drip approach on run of the mill priests and lowly seminarians seems a waste of time and energy.

Peter Tatchell is always threatening to out 30, or so bona fide queer COE bishops if they start queening it. It shouldn’t be too difficult to establish a similar list, say about 26 senior bona fide ginger beers in the Catholic Church hierarchy.

He never corrected the media when they called him Bishop of North London.

He visited Wood Green parish when I was there, shortly after been made aux bishop. He was completely boored by the parishioners and he had that rude habit of looking over the shoulders of the person he was speaking to, seeking to identify someone more interesting.

    2. John Arnold is another cold fish. I work with politicians and I'm amazed at how many are socially awkward and can't do small talk. Same with clergy and both are supposed to be people-facing jobs.

    1. I am very sorry I was so rude. I've had a few and was feeling snappy. Of course I know really that the Church teaches that only God can know who goes to hell and who doesn't. I'm bitter because at seminary all the other lads were at it like rabbits and I was the boring hetero. Plus women keep blocking me on tindr. Please forgive me for my rudeness.

  37. If Tim Barlett has all his things in the closet that a bishop wears or needs. Does that mean when he is appointed to a Diocese as a Bishop and takes all those things out of the closet. LOL. does that mean officially he has come out of the closet.
