GRINDR GOES TO ROME

THE IRISH COLLEGE, ROME

AN IRISH PRIEST WHO IS VERY WELL ACQUAINTED WITH ROME HAS CONTACTED ME TO TELL ME THAT GRINDR HAS REACHED THE ETERNAL CITY.

Of course, he is saying that with tongue in cheek because both he and I know that Grindr was as alive and well in Rome as it was in Maynooth and was and is being used by Irish seminarians there.

So we cannot really blame DIARMUID MARTIN for moving the GRINDR problem from Maynooth to Rome. Or can we?

The priest forwarded me some pictures from Rome Grindr to show me that the app is alive and well.

I have sent these pictures, UNREDACTED, to the seminarian's bishop. I will let Blog readers know his response.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

These are a few of the pictures I have been sent and I have heavily redacted them, for now, to allow the seminarian and his bishop to consider them.

Dear Xxxxxxxxx,

I have received information from a priest that one of your seminarians in Rome Xxxxxx Xxxxxx, is active on the GRINDR all and has published pictures of his face and body thereon.

I enclose the information and pictures for you.

I would ask that you acknowledge my email and pictures and assure me you will investigate.

+Pat Buckley

Apparently, the seminarian in question is quite "rightwing" and totally opposed to Same-Sex Marriage and the repeal of the 8th Amendment - but not conservative enough to refrain from showing his FACE and WHOLE BODY on Grindr.

As you can see, he is seeking black men. twinks (young slim men) Chinese men and other Asians.

This particular seminarian is NOT from Dublin and not belonging to Diarmuid Martin.

After previous Blogs here about The Irish College the rector, Monsignor Ciaran O'Carroll has called the student body together them and to warn them that there will be serious consequences for any seminarian who is discovered to have been in touch with me - or indeed talking about things outside the college itself.

Talk about SHOOTING THE MESSENGER and ignoring the MESSAGE!!!

O'CARROLL RECENTLY WELCOMING THE IRISH PRESIDENT TO THE COLLEGE
Lucky then that Ciaran O'Carroll  has no control over the priest that sent me today's photographs and has no power to discipline him.

So, folks, the Irish Bishops thought that they had sorted out the Maynooth scandal by sending people to Rome and by talking about building a smaller seminary somewhere.

Unfortunately for them GRINDR is like the Holy Spirit - and it is EVERYWHERE and all you need to access it is an internet connection and a mobile phone, tablet or laptop.

The priest who sent me today's pics has promised many more such pics involving various people.

Meanwhile, the seminarians who are observing the rules look on while these other guys laugh at them!

Last evening the bishop in question did acknowledge my email and pictures:

Dear Pat

I acknowledge receipt of your email and attachments.

Thank you.

  1. I have an android phone and can change my Grindr location to Rome. and sometimes often do. The roman lads are hot as f*ck and I'm a top so they love me.

Anywho, we have no proof this is a seminarian, nor the person who reported it is actually who they say they are, or the location is Rome, pr the body and penis picture is off any seminarian.

so once again for the hundredth time All we have is speculation and lots of it.

    Kind Regards

Today I will send to the Irish College authorities and Papal Nuncio.

I think Rome wants the visit for the Families over with to sort out Ireland after it lets hope .... too many Dioceses and elderly Bishops even one nearly 80

    4. Pat, why are you doing this? You are gay also. Why do this?

      Delete
    5. It's not about being gay.

It's about PRETENDING to be celibate when you are promiscuous.

It's about using and abusing people.

It's about being on Grindr and condemning gay marriage.

It's about being one thing in the pulpit and being the contradictory in your own life.

It's about being part of a clerical caste that calls gay people disordered and hunting for men on the net.

  4. Why should there be a fuss over "Grindr goes to Rome"...wasn't it already there? The clue is in title, folks w w w..which is short for "World wide Web" Rome has long been part of the world.
Even more stupid and puzzling is some priest promising to send pictures to Pat.. Why do that? Sure Pat has as much access to the complete worldwide web as he has. Very strange..

    ReplyDelete
  5. And what was that priest doing on Grindr?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Pat, have you not forwarded the photos to the Director of Formation in the Irish College, Fr Hugh Clifford? It is only right and proper that the Director of Formation knows what is going on. Does the Seminarian appear (with his clothes on) in any of the photographs on the Irish College Website? Finally, is the seminarian an Irish seminarian?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Correction: I posted about forwarding the photos to Fr Hugh Clifford. He is no longer in Irish College and back in Galway Diocese. Rome has gone down hill since Fr Clifford left. The new formation director is Fr Coughlan from Elphin Diocese.

Thinking of Rome I think of a great civilisation on one hand and the debauchery of the emperors on the other. The Romans lost track of why they were in power. Could this be what is happening in the modern church. Some not interested in God or the people but living in pure selfishness and the idiots of the world paying for it. Could we call it garden of Eden syndrome

I'm sure you'd agree that a priest who wants to genuinely do good for the Church should have better things to be doing than spending (probably) hours trawling through Grindr.

Just out of interest, does one have to have a Grindr account/profile in order to look at other profiles?

    3. No, the problem in the Vatican is not necessarily worse.. It's just that Pope Francis does not promise offenders that he will see that their misdeeds are covered up anymore. That's a different thing!

    4. Yeah, just like Francis' key supporters Maradiaga, Murphy-O'Connor and Danneels did.

  48. Pat, Will you be publishing more photographs tomorrow? Have you contacted the seminarian directly? Has he blocked off his facebook? have you images of where he gives out about gay marriage etc? Also if you know who he is, have you viewed his friends on facebook and are there any or many twinks?

  49. Vocations weekends are due in dioceses. It would appear 'Come follow me' is now 'Cum follow me'

  50. Can the person or persons who seems to know who the seminarian is by the photo of his willy please let us know what allegedly happened in maynooth? The suggested that this seminarian was carted off to Rome. Did he leave when he had his diploma or degree completed? That was the way it used to be

    1. The picture in question is not of an arm etc. It is a picture of the membrum genitale.

People have been trying to assume all day which diocese the seminarian is from.

I did not indicate any diocese at this stage.

    2. What happened in Maynooth? The usual stuff. The Irish church keeps both Maynooth and the Irish College open so that miscreant seems (always libs, the orthodox are dismissed quickly) can be transferred between the two institutions as a fresh start. E.g. Connor Gannon and Gorgeous.

  51. 17:55

He did not complete his degree. Maynooth wanted him to take 'time out' because of his extreme views and behaviour but he was carted off to Rome.

  59. Pat, I'm a grindr user myself and have just realised what seems wrong about those pictures. There are different versions of grindr and I only have the free one so don't take this as gospel.
One picture is taken from the chat view and because the picture is on the left side it looks as if the picture has been sent by the user of the phone where the pic has been screenshotted.
The other is on the edit profile view which you only see for your own profile.
So both pictures are screenshots of the grindr user's own phone.
Why would anyone screenshot their own app if it's showing pics of themselves? And why send them to someone rlse?

    1. I'm afraid some other Grindr user will have to answer you.

I am told that the pics were taken by someone who talked to the seminarian on line.

I would recognise it if I saw it again.

Maybe the accused needs to drops his kacks for his bishop or a medic appointed by his Bishop?

    5. 21:41 I imagine the more regular users of Grindr have the paid version.

What is it? A fiver a month.

It could be paid out of the St. Joseph's Young Priests grants.

Gorgeous had similar uses for his grants.

Please do not post the full pictures as it could be seen as revenge porn which can lead to jail time. By all means post pictures of the Seminarian's face and name but allow him some dignity.

In Gorgeous case I found him out in lies.

And I do not know if he told DM the truth of if DM told me the truth.

I have no desire to take this seminarians dignity from him.
