IRISH COLLEGE - THE NEW MAYNOOTH ???

CIARAN O' CARROLL - HEAD ON CHOPPING BLOCK

THE IRISH COLLEGE IN ROME IS THE "NEW GAYNOOTH" AND MONSIGNOR CIARAN O' CARROLL IS THE NEW HUGH CONNOLLY.

DIARMUID MARTIN moved his seminarians away from Maynooth because of the "THE STRANGE GOINGS ON" and it now looks as if those strange goings-on are as common in The Irish College as they were in Maynooth.

So, in fact, Diarmuid Martin, God bless his little purple cotton socks, took his seminarians out of the frying pan and dropped them straight into the fire!

In fact, there is much more scope in Rome for gay seminarians. The city is full of gay cruising grounds, pubs, saunas, and clubs.

There are many sexually gay prelates and priests in Rome who would be only happy to show young Irish men the ropes - in return of course, for sexual favours, friendship, and confidentiality.

In fact, for a sexually active gay seminarian or priest, being sent to Rome is far better than going to Heaven!

Even if some of them are chaste and celibate, the majority of seminarians these days, including in The Irish College, are gay.

And quite a number of them are sexually active. They are on GRINDR and other gay apps. They have "relationships" with each other. They are sexually involved with priests in their home dioceses.

They talk about each other. They know which of them is up to what. They often go out on the gay scene in small groups. They have feminine nicknames for each other.

THE IRISH BISHOPS:

IRISH BISHOP PAUL TIGHE IN IRISH COLLEGE RECENTLY

The Irish bishops knew what was going on in Maynooth and what is going on in The Irish College - and they are tolerating it. Why?

That is a very good question.

Perhaps some of them are, let's say, "gay-friendly".

Perhaps they know that if the face up to the problem they will have to say goodbye to a large number of their current, already small number, of seminarians.

Perhaps they will not be told what to do by ANYONE!

MY FRIEND PHONSIE IN THE IRISH COLLEGE RECENTLY

You see the doctrine and practice of the Roman Catholic Church are very clear.

Being gay is officially regarded as being "disordered".

In order to be a priest, you have to be celibate for life.

Gay actions are mortal sins.

So why do the Irish bishops, who are appointed by Rome, and whose job it is to uphold Catholic teachings tolerate seminarians and priests being non-celibate and promiscuous and therefore living in mortal sin?

Do they not really believe the teachings they are supposed to teach and uphold?

And if that is the case, why did they take the job, and why do they stay in the job?

The other problem and this is a BIG problem for the Catholic laity and especially for parents, is - are you happy to let your 18-year-old son enter a seminary to be seduced there within days of his entry?

And what about the shattered faith of such young men?

IS ANYONE, ANYWHERE, GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE IRISH COLLEGE?

DIARMUID MARTIN IS THE CHAIRMAN OF THE IRISH COLLEGE BOARD.

  4. Those priests who entered the priesthood specifically to corrupt it 'networked' and succeeded in becoming more and more influential over the years. These influential homosexuals then encouraged homosexuals to enter their orders and seminaries and discouraged those heterosexuals not in sympathy with 'the lifestyle' from staying and so we find ourselves in this situation. This systematic takeover has been witnessed, described and documented by several priests who have seen their orders and dioceses become infested by priests who hate the traditional teaching of the Church and seek to reverse it. And they are now at the highest levels of power. It is a Satanic takeover but we know that there is another creature of God, greater in power than he and She will reverse it.

I recall reading the account of an American seminarian devoted to Our Lady of Fatima whose room was invaded by two homo. seminarians. One held him on the bed while the other prepared to do something (assumed to be a sexual assault) when the one who was about to do something suddenly cried out, looked at a statue of Our Lady in the room and ran away, the other then did the same.

The current bishops of Ireland are not stupid and as some people say keep the numbers up that is NOT true these guys are a liability and the Church will not accept that.
I finish in disappointment to you and your FANS the Church will survive as it has done for over two thousand years and Our Lady will save her Sons CHURCH.

    4. 09:08, what on Earth has celibacy to do with unchastity? On what rational ground can non-celibacy be a preventive measure for sexual promiscuity?

      Delete
    5. Bizarre question. It has much to do with it.

Chastity is the living out of sexuality in accordance with one’s state in life.
If enforced celibacy is one’s state in life unchastity can often ensue.

      Delete
    6. Bizarre reply, 10:14.

Chastity, for a Christian, isn't optional, whether a person be celibate or non-celibate.

As for your claim that chastity is the 'living out of sexuality', from where did you acquire this nugget of fools' gold? Chastity is the denial (total or intermittent) of the sexual expression of one's sexuality, for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. It is a sacrifice in love and, therefore, a voluntary act. At least, that's how the Gospel conceives it.

No one who enters seminary or priesthood has celibacy enforced on them: it is accepted by candidates supposedly for the reason I stated above. At least it should be. If it isn't (if these candidates believe that the requirement for celibacy is an imposition on them) then they should not have lied to themselves and to others when they entered either state.

What we are witnessing now, by seminarians and priests parading their unchastity online and elswhere, is the natural (almost predictable) consequence of these lies.

These men are fundamentally liars, to themselves and to others. They should never have put themselves forward for ordination, or as candidates for ordination. Their social and personal sins are the graver for this self-indulgence.

    7. The difference celibacy and non-celibacy is indistinguishable for most priests and seminarians nowadays, otherwise +Pat would have no material for the blog.

  14. It is not really accurate to say that celibacy is not “for” these guys causing these scandals in Maynooth and the ICR - and indeed those ordained living immoral lives.

It is more accurate to say that the 6th and 9th Commandments of the Decalogue are not “for” these individuals. Christian teaching on chastity is not “for” these young and not so young men. Christian virtue around sexual morality and behaviour is not “for” these persons.

There is no place in a seminary, certainly not in the priesthood, for men who behave in the gravely sinful manner being exposed on this blog.

Away with them. We would be better with a few decent priests than encumbered with all these trawling, cruising, fornicating excuses for priests and seminarians, who have given themselves over to their lusts and desires against God’s Word and His clear commands.

Rightly has someone pointed out I think yesterday, those who prowl for sex - online and elsewhere - could be problematic in parishes for teenage boys and young men in parishes, if some of these Grindr users “fancy” them!

  16. Hey Bishop Pat, I'm glad you've pointed the celibacy issue out to us. I think it needs open discussion in the church leadership.

Could the problem be that celibacy is naturally disordered...?

If the entire Church explores Love in a full and meaningful way would we see our priests act this way?

When men and women are allowed to express a basic human right - will we see men and women forced to go underground to attain basic needs.
It is actually a very sad and oppressive leadership that would govern so.
I ask, what healthy young person that can critically question desire to participate in such medieval oppression?

    - so whether you fall in love, or you don't fall in love - does falling in love affect ones ministry and journey to become a full and happy person! I don't think it should...

Good bye Catholic Church. I will not be supporting your visit to Ireland, however I will be supporting the protest against it.

    2. I disagree with you, 13:20. Celibacy is not the issue here. Firstly, these men are not "forced" to be celibate - they know what the expectation is if they seek to join the priesthood of the Roman Rite. Secondly, if they discover in the course of their seminary training that celibacy is not for them, they are free to leave (and they should).

The issue with Maynooth, and now (apparently) Rome, is that there are seminarians who are choosing to study for the priesthood of the Roman Rite who are not practicing celibacy. In other words, the issue is hypocrisy. The next element in their hypocrisy is that these men are engaging in homosexual acts which the Catholic Church teaches are gravely sinful. A further element in their hypocrisy is the apparent promiscuity - i.e. cruising Grindr and such apps.

I say it again, the problem here is not celibacy but the hypocrisy of men who don't appear to have any qualms about living double lives.

On another point, Anon. 07:23 provided a link about the pastor in the photos that Pat has used in today's blog. As a Lutheran, this man was not bound by the same rules of celibacy as Roman Rite clergy - he is/was married with five children and yet he went and put a profile of himself on Grindr. Obviously the fact that he did this as a married man is scandalous, but, as the article points out, he had been a defender of marriage and was against homosexual marriage. This man - with no promise of celibacy - has succeeded in being at least as much of a hypocrite as the Maynooth and Rome Grindr crew. To all the world he was living as a married man, yet in private look at what he was doing!

No, hypocrisy, double-standards and double-lives are the glaring issues here and celibacy is no more the cause of the kind of hypocrisy we have seen here than marriage and a family is a remedy for it.

    5. 15.15 your posting is unwholesome in the extreme. You are welcome to your brand of unredeemed religiosity.

Celibacy is indeed the issue. The enforced associating of ministry and celibacy such that it’s both or neither is the nub.

Even a superficial historical awareness will make you aware of the folly of the coerced coupling of the two. The reception of this practice/ideology is a story of resistance in every age since its inception.

      Delete
    6. 13.20 - your comment seems quite immature to me. Today's blog is not about celibacy at all, yet you make out that this is a big issue that +Pat has raised today. It is about promiscuous, two-faced seminarians, who are pretending to live a good Catholic life but who are doing exactly the opposite.

Your attitude seems to be that "the celibacy made them do it". In other words, all of this scandal is the fault of the big bad Catholic Church. But if that's the case, these men are merely victims and are not really culpable. We all make choices and we must take responsibility for them. I'm sorry, but these men are not forced into celibacy, nor are they forced to be promiscuous or to set up Grindr profiles - they need to take responsibility for their choices and admit that the priesthood is not for them. The bishops and their formators also have a duty to terminate the formation of these men.

Maybe, who knows, but I suppose a lot would depend on the number and the seniority of the redacted private parts revealed on here.

The bishops are terrified because Maynooth University has served notice that they will leave Humanity House, New House and Long Corridor when they build their new Student Services building, leaving the bishops with empty buildings and no rent.
