MICKEY MOUSE TO BE NEXT BISHOP OF FERNS

LETTER FROM FERNS PARISHIONER:

Bishop Pat.

I am attaching a photograph of one of bishop-elect Deenihans classmates from seminary. The 3 priests in this photograph are all up for promotion in the diocese of ferns in the next few weeks.

They are all part of a cabal in ferns diocese. Everyone knows they are. The bishop promotes them. I hope you publish this picture to stop them being promoted further. Some big parishes are going to be vacant this year and they are in line to get the jobs because they are part of the group that the bishop likes.

The man in the middle Fr John Carroll is the bishop's secretary also, the same role as bishop-elect Deenihan and a classmate of his as well. And he has had a friend in the priesthood since his college days called Fr paddy McCafferty from a northern diocese who regularly comes to stay with him.

Carroll expects to get promoted to become Bishop soon too just like Tom Deenihan. The other two men are called father Broaders and Father Fagan and are favourites too with the bishop, and will get positions of power.

This picture paints a thousand words. It was taken at a world meeting of family event recently.

PRIESTS AND MICKEY MOUSE AT FERNS WORLD FAMILY DAY

Dear Parishioner,

Thank you for your update on the disgraced Diocese of Ferns.

There were aspects of your letter that I had to edit before publishing. Please excuse that.

You obviously feel that these men are not men that you want to see going anywhere in the Church.

Of course, the bishop of Ferns is a very weak man and weak men are easily impressed.

The caliber of men being ordained now is very poor - leading to an even poorer caliber men becoming bishops.

It is one of the central things bringing down the Irish Church - promoting not-so-bright, ass lickers to positions that are way beyond their abilities.

The only good thing about it is that it will hasten the Holy Spirit's plan to demolish the current corrupt structures and replace them with something more spiritual.

It is good that you can see through people.

Don't give up on God. He can see through them even more than you can.

MORE TROUBLE IN GATES MAGHERAFELT

Bishop Pat,

Just been down at the graveyard and talked to people doing work there. Outside company.

More stories of Gates being abusive to people plus hear he’s removing concrete from around graves to fit more people in!! This will affect my family grave and I bloody well want to talk to the bishop about it. Very angry. Was there sorting our grave for cemetery Sunday.

The man is despised. And totally rude to all and sundry.

Just how was he allowed back?

Xxxxxx

  1. Pat, more crap from your arsehole of a mouth. How you just delight in downing everyone you hate, which is almost every priest. Talking about calibre of men for priesthood - just look at yourself and the weird lot you've ordained. All rejects and former religious who couldn't get on with the cat! You have no likeability or decency in you. You are a twisted, psychologically imbalanced specimen. Get yourself help to deal with your hatred. God bless those good priests in Ferns. How many men/wimps have you ordained? How many women have signed up for ordination with you apart fron Sinead O Connor and Mother Nanny McPhee? None. You are both delusional and mad.

    2. 10.49: Pat, you can't be trusted with truth! Simple as that. Instead of glorifying about people's human flaws and weaknesses, you should examine your own lifestyle first. When you can look at yourself in light of the gospel of Jesus and say I have achieved these highest virtues, or even a fraction of them, then you may afford yourself the luxury of judging, condemning and executing others. But I think the challenge of Christ is beyond your capability as evidenced by the horrible onslaught on particular priests.

      Delete
    3. Where have I ever claimed to have all the virtue you accuse me of?

      Nowhere.

I reserve the right to observe and comment on church corruption where it appears.

    4. Pat Buckley at 12:15 - Corruption is one thing and remember there is corruption and deviousness also in your own heart and mind. You are also perverse & poisonous - as are those who “feed” you. Given the nature of what you are engaged in, innocent people also will inevitably be injured by your recklessness, your so-called “right” to say and do as you please, according to the way your warped mind and those of your cronies, twistedly works. You might take note too of today’s Gospel about the plank in your own eye. What you are engaged in - and what you facilitate and encourage from any Tom, Dick or Harry, is often simply evil and nothing else.

    1. Graves remain the property of the graveyard owner.

      We just lease them.

      Delete
    2. A lot of grave yard owners/managers now prefer to have grass rather than curbing. The lawns can facilitate access for mini-diggers reopening graves. (Rememer it's 3 people per grave). Curbing means such reopening needs to be done by hand.

A grave digger may object because of the difference in costs he may apply if digging by hand. And effectively one familiy's curb will cause another family massively increased burial costs.

Removing curbing cannot effect the number of burials. Graves cannot be moved closer as they'd just cave in from the side of the old dig.

But removal of existing curb should only happen with consultation - but which relative is consulted often leaves other relatives feeling excluded.

  8. It appears if a priest has a friend of any gender visit there are to many people ready to gossip. I often have college friends visit and stay. So does my wife. There is no crime in having friends or visitors and to be honest after a few social drinks it can be far easier than trips home given distances involved. As a seminarian I retained many friends from earlier days - healthy, supportive friendships. Donal O'Neill insisted I loose all friends outside of seminary and only had seminarian friends. I thought that odd, just as I think it odd that people make scandal of priests having friends.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Of course you make a good point.

    2. Another failed vocation at 9:30? A seminarian but is talking about his wife. Did he repay the diocese ? There is no such thing as diocese money. It’s parishioners money. Same as this Nestor man and talk of generous settlements.

    3. Such a presumption of all being platonic would be naive. But lets not pretend it's all bed-hopping either... for example, my wife and I are successful in not having 3-somes with our visitors.

    4. @10.18 Thank you for your ignorant comment - I will reply but only to highlight your ignorance.

Firstly some of us paid our fees at the time, not all of us took money from SJYP society either.

Secondly, you use the term 'failed vocation'. Correctly speaking a failed vocation is a person who goes into seminary and fails to discern their vocation. I discerned quite well and decided to leave. Others in my class discerned, were ordained and since left priesthood, often within a few short years. Others became deacons but didnt last the year to priesthood.

So who failed? The guy who discerns before or after making the promises of ordination??

I owe my former diocese nothing. Not a penny.

One other example of a failed vocation is that of a geberation of bishops who havd failed to successfully lead the church anywhere other than the regulation zone of Irish society.

If you have an axe to grind it certainly isn't with me, but you'd do well uo establish for yourself what your real problem is.

You may hit the mark on occasion, but quite a lot of the time you're just repeating unfounded rumours and gossip and claiming them to be fact, and when asked to substantiate them you either obfuscate or say that you trust the people who gave you the information, which isn't a substantiation. 5. I have been told today by someone involved in the organising of tickets for the Papal visit in August that the tickets issued from today for WMOF is a farce both for laity and clergy. Very sneaky system. When you make a request for tickets to any event both laity and concelebrating clergy are asked if they want to make a voluntary donation of different suggested amounts of €. Here is the sneaky bit. Those who make a donation are listed as priority for tickets and those who choose not to make donations are sent to the back of the queue. That’s why tickets are not being posted until early August so they can check who has paid up and who hasn’t - so it’s not really voluntary. What a farce and how devious.

My Mother had a pleasant surprise a few days ago in town when she met him and he greeted her warmly. She was slightly taken aback because he has never greeted her before in passing. Has he turned over a new leaf? McEniff, his friend, has not changed and seems oddly to have taken over the place as the unofficial Curate - going around that is in the presence of parishioners thinking he owns the place. 1. In response to anon at 12:48 if I may observe in passing it's apparent that you lack the exposure to intellectual trends in English and Scottish universities, which I experienced in the late 1950s.

I think Pat's blog provides a useful forum,( clearly absent elsewhere) to publicise issues of concern to Newcastle and Magherafelt people relating to "the RC church". I just wish so many of those "faithful worshippers" who regularly attend church and "pay their dues" were more aware of the residual malignity within the RC church structure to the point where would arise a forceful demand for change.

By change, I mean movement away from the RC church's infantile preoccupation with sexuality on to the much greater concerns now facing humanity, such as the State Pension.

Pope Francis's sadly unreadable encyclical "Laudato Si" made a tentative start in recognising the imperative to treasure and preserve the environment. However, the synod of bishops on the Amazon, (consisting of older celibate males (aged even 74+), ie RC bishops ), will inevitably be preocupied with focussing on the private personal behaviour of individuals, (concerning which they have no relevant personal experience, despite decades of hearing confession and counselling couples).

Yet, like me, they will make pronouncements on issues like homo sexuality, abortion, birth control etc,(I've had with no recent experience of the reality of the issues), with no focus at all on the much greater very real pressing issues now facing humanity.

As I've read the gospels, Christ made no mandated pronouncements on inter personal issues concerning how people enjoy the human instinct of their inherent sexuality, even in the Autumn of their lives.

So it's no wonder at all that so many thinking persons, especially in the county Down area see the RC and Anglican churches as completely unaware of, unsympathetic and irrelevant to the vital concerns of humanity nowadays. That they vote with their feet is gining momentum.
