CLOYNE DIOCESES CONFIRMS INCIDENT INVOLVED PRIEST
An Irish priest from North Cork has found himself at the centre of a potential police investigation, after a video of him engaging in gay sex on the church altar, has leaked online.
The Irish Mirror reports that an internal church document states that the priest in question has taken a leave of absence (and gone into hiding) from his duties at the St Bartholomew’s Church, Kildorrery, in the Cloyne Diocese of North Cork.
THE PRIEST DANGLING HIS COLLAR ON HIS PENIS |
The video that first emerged online back in May is said to feature a man wearing priest vestments and performing sexual acts with another man.
“He has taken so-called personal leave to deal with his issues,” a source told the newspaper. “It is understood he has been suffering from some mental difficulties and some addiction problems.”
“This has been a major scandal in the area and people are devastated by it all.”
An investigation into the incident is “ongoing”.
PAT SAYS:
ONE BIG QUESTION REMAINS TO BE ANSWERED?
WAS THE YOUNG MAN ON TOP OF THE ALTAR A SEMINARIAN?
That was certainly claimed at the time.
Further reports say that a small number of Maynooth seminarians and ex-seminarians have been providing rent boy services for various priests around the country - and even more senior clerics!
There have also been reports of these seminarians blackmailing the clerics after the event.
There is one report of a very senior cleric still paying a former seminarian a monthly stipend to keep him quiet.
The priest in the incident is certainly known to have had mental health and alcohol problems for some time.
He was also a regular visitor to Maynooth - although there was no official reason for him going there.
There have also been reports of BDSM sessions with the use of "poppers" and illegal drugs.
I think that the Irish Catholic Bishops are sitting on a mindblowing scandal involving clerics, seminarians, orgies, and drugs.
ANYONE WITH INFORMATION/EVIDENCE NEEDS TO COME FORWARD SO THAT THIS GREAT CORRUPTION AND SCANDAL IS TOTALLY EXPOSED AND ALL THE ISSUES ADDRESSED AND RESOLVED.

And still, the poor Irish sheep (the laity) will continue to feed, clothe, and house these bone idle blots on the ecclesial landscape.
ReplyDeleteIf it's true the devil makes work for idle hands, then he's been working 24/7 in the Irish Roman Catholic Church, cos you won't come across more useless hands than those of a Roman Catholic priest.π
Quaffing the absinthe again are you Carta? Change the feckin record.
DeleteThank God for the hands of good and holy priests who serve faithfully and selflessly, day and daily. They are the antidote to the pervert who abused the Altar.
The most useless hands of all are yours Carta for you contribute absolutely NOTHING to ANYTHING!
Here we go again. Magna Carta spouting her hatred of The Clergy. We have to get rid of any priest who commits sacrilege they should excommunicated. But the majority of priests who follow the Teachings of The Church and keep true to their vows must have our support and
Deleteprayers.
Magna, have you sobered up quickly this am. I have never witnessed an insane person like you. How dare you mock innocent Roman Catholic Priests on this blog. At least we have decent priests who were taught the words of God, unlike what you are making a mockery of them all. You should be banned from this blog. Your day will come Magna.I think Magna you need to get an early morning cure. Crawl back to your bed with your booze.
DeleteHere we go round the roundabout again re: Magna. Do we not deserve a Magna free day Pat or even better a blog free Magna.
DeleteMagnas pattern is leaving the most abusive post late at night. People will then spend all morning voicing their disgust at it whilst he sleeps. He will then awake in the middle of the day to spend the afternoon and evening abusing and attacking those who left posts about him,
DeleteMorning, everyone.
DeleteDid someone call?π
01:54 'good and holy priests'? Hah! Hah! Hah!π
DeleteA hilarious oxymoron! Hah! Hah! Hah!π
(Just pointin' out, like.π)
01:54 again. Ah, but good and holy priests (who exist only in your head) cannot be an antidote to that pervert priest, can they really? Because the 'good and holy priests' of Cloyne are turning mental summersaults to ensure that this vile pervert priest will not be judged as a vile, pervert priest, but as someone (and this is a real tearspillerπ) who is in urgent need of psychological counselling for mental health problems and for addictiin. AND THEREFORE OF PUBLIC SYMPATHY.π π
DeleteAre you following me? These 'good and holy priests' are engaged in yet ANOTHER cover-up.
Ecclesiastical Ground Hog day, again. (Sighπ)
π
Magna, do you believe everything Buckley prints which are "hearsay" stories. Pat never substantiates his information. That aside, yesterday you agreed with me re: a comment made in relation to this incident, whereby it is reported that the priest is receiving professional treatment for his psychological breakdown. Any person who is diagnosed with mental health issues, irrespective of profession, does not deserve to be shredded through social media, as on this blog. The conclusions Pat makes need verification. It's not sufficient to quote anonymous sources. Magna, you have shown and proved that you too are ideal breathing ground for the devil as you are DEMONSTRABLY a nasty, vicious troll. You were, are and will forever be one best specimen of a human being.
ReplyDeleteThe diocese has CONFIRMED the incident!
Delete09.11: Yes, Pat, I know the Diocese has confirmed the incident but it's the wild assertions you make around this incident that are questionable. Unless you can quote, verify and truthfully assert on full, clinical data, then you should desist from conjuring mischief. Any person who is diagnosed with a serious medical/psychological illness does not need a "blogging" into the dust, as you want through this article. That I find reprehensible. Yes, we must identify wrongful and abusive behaviour, always, but we cannot make wild, unfounded judgments on hearsay or gossip.
DeleteI could have named the priest but did not.
DeleteThe Maynooth Rent Boy aspect is true and accurate.
I do not have sheets with DNA on them.
But it is true.
Stop trying to excuse it all.
I have been proven right time and time again.
You’ve been proven right? How? Where is this LOP letter you promised us against pucks Ordination. What happened all these unresolved cases you highlighted which includes the Irish College dismissal of two students. Moriarity, Marshall, Maynooth, Armagh Clergy changes, Whats happened?
DeleteThe LOP is on the way.
DeleteThe 2 Rome students have not pursued their cases against the newspapers. The article about them is still on line at the IT.
The Armagh changes have been put on hold.
All this blogs stories are on going.
Watch this space.
PS "Softly, softly, catcher monkey".
DeleteThat is especially true of the Maynooth and clerical primates :-)
I know one thing, 00:53: I'd trust Pat Buckley with the truth before I'd trust any clerically collared tick in the Roman Catholic Church, a vile, parasitical institution with a history of inveterate lying.
DeleteOh! Nearly forgot. I did not agree at all with you yesterday. Re-read my comment.
10.05: Now, Magna, you are lying. You are quite simply - abusive, morally blind, spiritually impoverished (dead) and emotionally stunted. You prove all too frequently your capacity for abuse, nasty vitriol and an inability to find fibres of decency in your DNA...
DeleteYour so lucky, +Pat, getting to see the whole hog. A stud like that could never be celibate.
ReplyDelete“You’re so lucky”.
DeleteNot lucky. Sad.
DeleteOut of 9 comments on this blog so far, 5 of them are either from Magna or about Magna. I think that is a total disgrace. I am sure people like me are running out of patience with you and this blog Patrick.
ReplyDeleteThe daily visits show a steady audience and increase.
DeleteThe blog is not ABOUT Magna.
I do not want to censor anyone.
PS Comment makers could ignore Magna???
DeleteDaily visits are completely different to daily posters.
DeleteYou could ignore Magna, Pat.
DeleteI could.
DeleteHe is entitled to his say, but not to abuse.
Pat doesn't care. He needs Magna for the survival of this blog as he generates enough rage and reaction. The vicious troll should be barred for a month.
Delete09:20 People like YOU, I've noticed, are always threatening to run 'out of patience' with Bishop Pat and this blog. But (and here's the hilarious bit), you never actually do: you all seem to have more patience with both than the proverbial Job!
Delete's funny that.π
π
09:53 If you propose barring me to a BAR, I'll courageously volunteer.πΊπ
Delete"I do not want to censor anyone."
DeleteThere is not a comment I leave on this blog that you do not edit or delete part of it. And for the life of me I cannot understand why, I'm much more polite than Magna.
Maybe you're Magna?
10:15 Who says he doesn't edit or delete my posts?
DeleteHe has done both, much to my chagrin.
Pat @09.53 Magna abuses people on a daily basis including on this blog today. He laughs, scoffs at, mocks and belittles people. I suppose you have much in common.
DeleteI have sat down with a coffee and very small cognac to read the blog as I do each day. I was hoping to contribute to the actual topic and volunteer information on another issue that’s brewing in Cloyne. I saw the Magna idiot dictating and taking over again so I can’t be bothered posting or reading anymore of the blog today. I’m heading out into the sun and wish you all a good day.
ReplyDelete09:36
DeleteIs it not a bit early for the cognac.
That's my tipple too but I have a rule - no alcohol before 8 pm.
I didn't think you followed rules, Pat.
Delete10:16 I suspect (and he will correct me if I'm wrong) that Bishop Pat follows one, cardinal rule: his conscience.
DeleteUnlike the clerically collared pimps in the Roman Catholic Church, who follow the 'rules' of mere men. (What's an example?) Oh, yes! The Golden Rule: cover up ALL moral corruption (especially child sexual abuse), cos we don't want the moronic, paying laity to think we are anything less than 'Christmen', do we?
Magna your second paragraph is confusing, to me at least!. As written and in this context, I can't make out the applicability of the Golden Rule. I'm clear about the GR, but not in your comment. Can you clarify please? And without any 'vitriol' if you don't mind.
DeleteWillo, you know what a colon is, don't you? (No, Willo, I wasn't speaking of a bowel section, but of a punctuation mark.π)
DeleteA colon, in this sense, introduces something. An elaboration, for example. Or, in my previous post, an explanation. Of what? Well, of the phrase, 'Golden Rule'.
If you re-read my post, carefully this time, you'll get all the clarification you seek. (And an end of your confusion.)
There now: I answered your post without 'any vitriol', didn't I?π
Thank you Magna.
DeleteI believe the golden rule can be understood in various ways. One secular interpretation takes it to mean that one does whatever necessary to achieve one's aim. Another one, particularly when capital letters are used, refers to the moral concept of treating others as one would wish to be treated. ( Or in a religious context as per Matthew 7:12 & Luke 6:31)
This blog largely commenting on religious topics led me to think of the second interpretation above which at face value seemed innapropriate. The first/secular one seems in keeping with your perspective, and perhaps even the religious one too: perhaps you were being sarcastic? About clerical responses I hasten to add!)
Willo, you hastened correctly.π
DeleteI am a male lay student at Maynooth University and I have had sex with seminarians, with them supplying the poppers and condoms. I enjoyed my meets and intend to meet again. Sex is normal and natural. Get over it.
ReplyDeleteSad life
DeleteWhat a sensible student you are in Maynooth. Is it sex you practice at that college now. I thought it was the teaching of God an becoming a Priest. Where in under god is Maynooth going down the drain. Shame on Maynooth. Is it any wonder there are little students entering for Priesthood today. What a bloody disgrace.
DeleteYou are all jealous of me. Frustrated old altar eaters.
DeleteHi Brendan.
Delete10:59 So you're a male lay student at Maynooth University who is also a lay?
Delete10.59 People aren't paying for the seminarians to have a great sex life. If I were a female stripper and people had paid to see me, they would be a bit miffed if I knelt and prayed.
DeleteNot a good idea to head out into this sun after 11,especially after a cognac.
ReplyDeleteI prefer a walk in the sun early in the day or after sunset.
Male student...please keep your antics to yourself.
The truth will set Stephen Wilson free even if the truth is revolting.
ReplyDeletePat please remove my name from this blog ASAP or I will ask Google to do it the same way Puck and Goergous did.
DeleteThis appears to be a fine specimen of a man so it would be hard for the trainees to resist. Even now I expect he is still much in demand.
ReplyDeleteIs this contributor gender fluid?
DeleteIf you mean the altar priest - he is in rehab I'm told.
ReplyDeleteI don’t think that’ll put him off, not a full-blooded man like that, +Pat.
DeleteML
DeleteTake any confessions on here with a pinch of salt. Might well be true though.
ReplyDeleteAnyone can say anything on here
Sure I won second place for signing in the Fleah up in Donegal last summer
The young man in question confesses to playing some "flutes" in Maynooth. I wonder if one of the tunes was called "A Lament for the Bould Deenihan"?
DeleteDo you mean "signing" as we do in the deaf choir? I didn't realise that was part of the fleadh... Interesting.
ReplyDeleteMagna, darling, could you row a bit more quietly - mummy's got a headache.
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough the altar priest reminds me of your father. He was a very well...furnished man.
Haven't I always said it is a pity you don't take after him?
Mommie dearest, but why should you lament my not taking after pappy?
DeleteWhen he left you for a much older woman, you complained for years after that he'd 'no b*lls!'π
Magna darling, have you never looked at what is in the pickle jar on the top shelf in the pantry?
DeleteBriefly, dearest, when you asked me the other day to make you a pickled-onion sandwich.
DeleteThere was, oddly, a tiny gherkin in the jar, too. I added it to your sandwich for extra flavour. (Always thinking of you, dearest.π)
And you did so relish every mouthful!
Luckily I'm used to your funny little ways, darling, and swapped sandwiches with you. I only asked you to make it so that I could tip the tea you made me into the aspidistra pot.
DeleteYou see, darling, I paid close attention to what the psychiatrist said about you.
Now, now dearest! You know I never eat pickled onions and gherkins: they leave me horribly flatulent, and you complaing of breached etiquette.
DeleteWhy did you have me call that psychiatrist 'Uncle Bob?
Because he was your father's brother, darling. Don't you remember the happy look you had when you used to sit on his knee?
DeleteIt used to make Fr Smyth quite jealous!
Hi Stephen.
ReplyDeleteI keep saying, but Pat ignores me, that the only reason you would behave the way Carta does is out of contempt for Pat and this blog.
ReplyDeleteIn the past few days I have regretfully edited MC's rougher comments.
DeleteWhy would you regret not publishing Magnas nastier posts
DeleteAnd not published one or two others!
Delete(Don't know why. They were models of civility and politeness.π)
:-)
DeleteI meant I regretted having to edit.
And miss giving Carta yet another opportunity to make a fool of you. It's a pity, because I think you've got things to say but Carta's dead set on stopping u
DeleteCould you at least cut out the “Mommie dearest” and “Little Magna” posts?
DeleteThey are nauseating - especially Carta’s responses to his “Mommie”. About as funny as a kick in the balls.
This delusional troll actually thinks he’s funny/witty? If he was on the stage, he’d be booed off under a hail of cabbages and rotten tomatoes!
It's funny you should say that, the one time he did appear on the stage he got a good laugh. Unfortunately he was playing a corpse (and very convincingly too).
Delete15.07: The word "regretfully" is the wrong word - you should have as "shamefully" as many of Magna's words are both shameful and unacceptably abusive. Stop facilitating this obnoxious specimen.
ReplyDeleteHear, hear!π
DeleteIt's a very fine arse in the picture, whoever it belongs to.
ReplyDeleteI am neither denying nor confirming anything. My lips are sealed (in a manner of speaking).π
DeletePlenty of posts from Magna but no hard evidence against Sean Jones.
ReplyDeleteEr, his self-accusing silence, for one?π
DeletePat regrets editing Magnas more abusive posts. Last week Pat told people to stop abusing Magna and provoking him. Is there something going on here or have I missed something.
ReplyDeleteMy money's on yer havin' missed something.π
Delete"He was also a regular visitor to Maynooth - although there was no official reason for him going there."
ReplyDeleteI think we can guess the unofficial reason though.
Pat, did you see in the news today that Dromore diocese has been named and shamed as one of a group of 11 employers across NI who failed to pay the National Living and Minimum Wages.
ReplyDeleteDromore Diocesan Trust, which lists its HQ as Bishop's House, Newry, failed to pay £3,844.98 to three staff. That worked out at roughly £1,280 per worker.
So much for Catholic Social Teaching.
Well, what the hell did you expect from the institutional Roman Catholic Church?
DeleteChristianity?π
Yes, Carta, I just dont expect it from you, you poison dwarf
DeleteDelusional, 18:33? About the Church?
Delete17.56: Don't blame Catholic Social Teaching - but the Parish who failed to implement proper, legal contracts. It was wrong and is wrong not to pay any employee the correct, minimum wage. As for Mad Maggie - a pitiable REJECT and a most foul mouthed drunkard, rotting away in his little world, giving nothing and contributing nothing worthwhile to society. He is probably the most deranged contributor on this blog.
DeleteWhen I saw that online earlier today my immediate thought was that It's typical of so called caring organisations' management taking advantage of staff's good nature, dedication and misguided sense of vocation. Nursing, teaching, social work: ever so.
DeleteYou are too liberal with compliments, 19:06.
DeleteBut thank you, anyways.π
Lol so Buckley regrets having to censor Carta. I think everyone should respond to Carta- then Buckley will see what Carta wants to make of this blog.
ReplyDeleteOh! The ebb and flow of human caprice.
Delete(And its inherent absurdity.π)
A little known fact is that Magna Carta is actually Hugh Connolly trying to obstruct the blog. Just ignore him.
ReplyDeleteS**t!π¦
DeleteOne of you guys actually knows what he's talking about.π¦
Out of 90 comments on this blog so far today, 56 posts have been about Magna or from him. This blog is now run and dominated by Magna. Thinking Magna not Thinking Catholicism anymore folks.
ReplyDeleteYou have imagination.
DeleteFlair will follow in its own good time.π
Holy Mother Church has seen thousands of Magnas come and go. They are sad puffed up individuals consumed by hatred and internal imbalance and are best ignored. In the grand scheme of things they are as insignificant as a flea bite on an elephants arse!
ReplyDeleteBishop Buckley, We Love you,
ReplyDeletesay you love the Irish too,
Please say yes, please say yes,
Bishop Buckley you're the best!
Fr. Woollen who is the Curate in Knock has had a falling out with Fr. Richard Gibbons. He basically wants out of Knock and Tuam ASAP and has spoken to Vin Nichols in Westminster to give him a parish. Vin who is never one to miss an opportunity has appointed Fr. Woollen as curate to Kingsland Parish in London from September.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a waste of police time and resources, especially as he will be admonished, or bound over for good behavoir. Conversion therapy won't help either, the guy's probably had-more-ass-than-a-toilet-seat .
ReplyDeleteMore Buckley Blog misinformation. Father Nigel Woolen is returning to the UK because of the illness of his mother. He is finding a weekly commmute to London too much and has reluctantly decided to return to the UK. He has at all times enjoyed an excellent relationship with Fr. Gibbons and it is untrue to suggest otherwise.
ReplyDeleteThe illness of his Mother has a small part to play in the story. Why was he in Tuam in the first place if he is from London and his Mother was ill. He wanted to get away from Westminster and now he wants to be back there. You obviously don't seem to know the rumblings that are going on with the running of Knock Shrine. I'm sure he would want to come back at a later stage but he doesn't want to. Would that be down to the illness of his Mother also.
DeleteMiss Woolen has the means to put readers' minds at rest.
Deletebishop buckley you are doing really good work here please don't let it be derailed by magna's narcissim
ReplyDeleteIf I had the choice of swapping Knock for Kingsland parish in Westminster I would be stopping in Knock. Kingsland - what a dump! It's usually a dumping ground for clergy anyhow
ReplyDeletePat. Please give Magna in his various forms a free hand. They are making your blog a laughing stock. Anytime in future that you contact the media about church related issues we will just point to your blog and the media will believe us.
