ARCHBISHOP DIARMUID MARTIN UNDER FIRE

A NUMBER OF SENIOR CLERGY FROM DIFFERENT DIOCESES HAVE DIARMUID MARTIN IN THEIR SIGHTS AS THEY LAY ALLEGATIONS OF PERSONAL IMPROPRIETY AGAINST HIM.

The archbishop has responded by saying that there is absolutely no truth and that these rumors are based on gossip - which is a very different thing than truth.

The Blog is fully aware of the nature and detail of these allegations but we are not publishing them at this juncture.

One of the leading people raising these allegations is the parish priest of Monasterboice in County Louth - Father William Mulvihill.

Father Mulvihill is in dispute with Diarmuid Martin over the departure of a priest friend of him from the Dublin archbishop and made the current allegations to Diarmuid Martin himself on his answering machine - an action, Father Mulvihill says, prompted a telephone call by Diarmuid Martin to him, during which he gave Father Mulvihill his personal mobile number.

DEATH THREAT

Last night after his verbal tussles with  Eamon and Diarmuid Martin Bilk received a death threat via email.

This controversy follows a previous spat between Father Mulvihill had with his own archbishop Eamon Martin with regard anonymous letters of complaint sent to Eamon Martin about him.

Without investigation, Eamon Martin was believing the anonymous letter writers and seeking to impose serious restrictions on Father Mulvihill.

Father Mulvihill restricted Eamon's attempts and they later exchanged warmer letters.

A meeting between the two is planned for September.

It is very obvious that Bill Mulvihill has courage and conviction.

He is also very concerned about the victims of an Armagh priest who has abused for 50 years which have been and are been hidden by Sean Brady and Eamon Martin.

Let us get behind Bill in his efforts to highlight what is wrong in the Catholic Church and his determination to do something about it.

ITALIAN 70 YEAR OLD PRIEST FOUND NAKED IN CAR WITH 10 YEAR OLD NAKED GIRL

A priest was caught naked in a car with a 10-year-old girl in a village near Florence, Italian media report.

The 70-year-old cleric was arrested by the police. He is now under house arrest and has been suspended from exercising his priestly duties by the Bishop of Florence.

Media report that the priest was seen in the car with the girl on Monday at around 10pm, parked in a supermarket parking area on the road between the parish church and the girl’s
The car was noticed by two residents who approached it and, seeing both the girl and the priest without clothes, raised the alarm. Italian media report that a group of residents insulted the priest and were stopped from attacking him by the police.

  1. An Irish Bishop would have previously advised the Italian priest to have black-out glass in his car windows.

How unbecoming of the Catholic Archbishop to be subservient to Bishop Buckley. At least Pat Buckley resides in the Dublin diocese more times a year than Diarmuid Martin. Maybe Pat Buckley is the real Archbishop because he seems to make Diarmuid do what he wants. No backbone!

YOU ARE NOT WITHOUT FAULTS. I couldn't give a shit about your partner. The fact that you came out and proclaimed your sexuality does not give you any moral, superior right to hound and chase down others. You have evil intent in your agenda. You engaged in your own personal sexual adventures - that's a fact - and I don't condemn you for that. But what is stomach churning is your arrogance and self righteousness in your view of many individual priests who may have deep, inner personal struggles. That you take delight in the downfall of others is completely anathema to CHRIST. Simply put, you are too full of vengance and hatred to be a witness for TRUTH.

    2. I think it’s not uncommon for Catholics to be heartbroken by the evils committed by clergy. I don’t think expressing that sadness is a desire for a cover up, but an expression of sadness and anger at those of whom more was expected. I think expressing that sadness and anger is part of growth towards (hopefully) healing and transformation. Much like in counseling, confronting and articulating the darkness of the past is often part of growth in the future.
