I got very disillusioned with fellow Careerist Priests who simply wanted to climb the episcopal ladder and still continue to do so. It was disheartening to see a new Bishop be surrounded by the same select few who continue to wear several Curial hats each. I have found the child abuse scandal nauseating and the lack of inaction by some Bishops, some of whom continue to swan around in their regalia despite retiring. I found Cardinal Cormac's commentary on that video to be repulsive given his abuse inaction over the chaplain of Gatwick Airport.

I have always struggled with celibacy since Ordination and it had an effect on me emotionally and psychologically which resulted in poor health. The current homosexual saga engulfing Maynooth and elsewhere is also dispiriting. Being gay myself and I still struggle with that each day. However, to use your sexuality to bully others who do not share your same persusion is clearly wrong and immoral. To lie, deceive, cheat and manipulate in order to have gay sex is wrong and needs exposed, to bully others in the process is just sickening.

I stepped down from Ministry voluntarily a few years back, I felt I could no longer carry out my duties. I was conscious that I was living a lie coupled with the fact that I had lost my faith in God and more particularly his Church. I do not pray and I have lost credibility in the hierarchy . I have been tempted to return to some form of ministry but I feel unable and unworthy to.

My advice to the two deacons who have featured on this blog and others, leave now please. Take it from one who knows, you will bring damage on yourselves, to the people you serve and to the wider Church. That applies also to the prelates who will ordain you. You will carry a burden by taking on celibacy that will like me, damage you emotionally and psychologically in the long run. It may also result in you bringing scandal upon yourselves and your families. Quit whilst ahead.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543129696041324861.post-14414815576512996632017-02-04T13:47:03.422+00:002017-02-04T13:47:03.422+00:00MMM right once again.
