CLONARD MONASTERY RECTOR - FATHER NOEL KEHOE

CLONARD MONASTERY BELFAST - RECTOR - FATHER NOEL KEHOE
NOEL KEHOE - BISHOP IN WAITING ?

CONTRIBUTION FROM BLOG READER

"The Clonard Novena has begun and is organised by the Rector of Clonard, Father Noel Kehoe. Fr Kehoe became Rector of Clonard Monastery in 2015. He comes from Newry originally. Both Fr Kehoe and Fr Brendan Mulhall were in training around the same time with the Redemptorists.

Brendan Mulhall - the MUCH LOVED Adm, Coleraine

Fr Kehoe is known for his flamboyancy, foreign holidays and his taste for expensive restaurants. It is no wonder than that Fr Kehoe has settled in Down and Connor Diocese.

CLONARD

Fr Kehoe is your classical clerical careerist keeping an eye out for any opportunity to climb the hierarchical ladder. While being appointed as Rector of Clonard is seen as an important step forward, Fr Kehoe is also on the three man leadership team for the Redemptorists on the island of Ireland. As part of this three man team he has some responsibility for Redemptorists who have got into hot water with the Vatican. A number of Redemptorists have got into hot water with the Vatican over expressing views which were seen as going against Church teaching. The most well known case is that of Fr Tony Flannery.

TONY FLANNERY - "SILENCED" RED

The Papal Nuncio Archbishop Charles Brown. who is believed to have had a special interest in cases such as Fr Flannery and their continued suspension, has been invited by Fr Kehoe to preach at the Clonard Novena - TODAY JUNE 19TH 2016 at 7.30pm.

Youth Session (with Mass) Sunday 19th June at 7:30pm with Papal Nuncio Archbishop Charles Brown

Fr Kehoe is certainly working the progression route on this one given that the Papal Nuncio has a key role in the appointment of Bishops in Ireland.

Will the Papal Nuncio ask Fr Kehoe about the US based LGBT who came on pilgrimage to Ireland earlier this year and had a private Mass in Clonard?

US LGBT AT DUBLIN - HAD MASS IN CLONARD

Fr Kehoe is demonstrating his capacity to run with the hare and hunt with the hounds".

PAT SAYS:

I have never met Noel Kehoe and needless to say he has not invited me to the Clonard Novena :-)

I have heard various reports about him - and those reports suggest to me that he and I would have nothing in common.

I am not sure where flamboyancy, foreign holidays and expensive restaurants fit in with the Solemn Vow of Poverty a Redemptorist takes?

Its interesting to note that our contributor today thinks that Noel Kehoe wants to be a bishop.

If he does having a good relationship with the Papal Nuncio will not work against that ambition.

I doubt if Noel Kehoe will regale the Nuncio with the wonderful stories of the US LGBT Mass at Clonard.

Do other readers have opinions on the Rector of Clonard?

  1. I have views, Pat. You couldn't print them though. Suffice it to say, for the present: another symptom of the rotten mess pervading the Irish Church - Kehoe, Bartlett, Maynooth, Fanny Mullaney, Carryduff, Rathsharkin, The Dean, etc..... "You're a blockhead, Charlie Brown", OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!!

    1. Charlie is happy when he is being feted, given a donation in a brown envelop, treated to a fine dinner and provided with a junior suite for the night.

Why would he open his eyes and deprive himself of such adulation?

  2. The more you throw 'mud' at men on this thing called socail media or blog - the more these men 'go up' in the estimation of many. In hearing about this attack on the Clonard man I have changed my Sunday plans. I will now travel for an hour to Clonard, pray, go to Mass and give a healthy donation for the future of this place of light, this place of hope and the place of good. The complete opposite to this media blog.

    2. Were you not going to go to Mass on Sunday anyhow??

You continue in your deep dark denial. Unworthy men strut, prance and mince around the sanctuaries of God's House. Shame!

However: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7).

  3. Well I would expect there would be plenty of money to provide Black Angus beef, with 10 sessios of the Novena daily on week days and 9 at the weekend,, the coffers must be over flowing.

  4. Pat, I know this man, and he can come across as tough because he really holds the line on child protection, financial transparency, health and safety etc. This upsets some people. But he is fair. I haven't know him to have a high life. Rather, I'd say he works too hard and has really no life! He certainly isn't perfect but he can be extremely kind to people who are struggling, and I know that he quietly helps people in recovery from addiction. I don't know who wrote that article but I don't think its a fair representation.

    2. Bishop,
You have written above that you have never met Fr. Kehoe!
Now you say that WE must speak of people as WE find them.
It seems to me that all you are doing is letting all the sickos (10.48) loose to lacerate whom they please without basis or proof.
In lots of cases I can find little difference between CALUMNY and Detraction in your contributors contributions!
What part do Calumny and Detraction play in your philosophy?
To do good does not seem to be a priority!

    3. There are many people with real concerns of a grave nature about what is happening in the Irish Church at present. These people are not "sickos". The dogs on the street know what is going on and it is shocking and scandalous. Self-serving and unbridled ambition, along with behaviour that is utterly incompatible with the Christian life, does no good to the Church. It is profoundly damaging and the cause of immense suffering and scandal.

    4. I would suggest - 15.53 - that you read the contribution from pmcmahon! I know nothing about the priests mentioned
However pmcmahon finds no fault with this Redemptorist priest.
What credence can we give to the creator of the venemous attack on this man?
What proof has he - speculation is of no value!
This is why I regard 10.48 as a sorehead - no proof - no credibility - nothing.
And where do calumny and Detraction enter into the philosophy of Bishop Buckley?
Charity and mercy are a rarity in most of the bloggers who follow him.
If you accuse you must have proof!

    5. Yes Pat, I speak of people as I find them. You, as the author of this blog, have chosen, by publishing this anonymous article, to speak of someone who by your own admission you have never met, such an action detracts from any value you feel your blog may have. How can readers engage in any meaningful way with an anonymous author whose motivation, interest or relationship to the person or topic is not revealed either by statement of those facts or by identifying themselves?

    6. Anon at 18:36 - june 19th - There is PLENTY of proof! If there was charity and mercy - in the individuals about whom concerns are being expressed - there wouldn't be any problem.

    7. OK - 23.41 - I - at 18.36 asked for proof! You say there is PLENTY - so what is this PROOF???!?

    8. Unfortunately, it can't be printed here but there is PLENTY OF PROOF!

    9. If you - 22.06 - cannot provide proof you have no legal, moral or civilised right to accuse!
Set out you case - or shut up - PERMANENTLY

    10. The case has been set out by quite a number of people - here and elsewhere - and it will continue to unfold. So, "shut up" yourself.

    11. What is the case - state it clearly - no evidence - ????!

    12. I can see no evidence here - and where is elsewhere?
      Could you enlighten me -12.15.
Where is the evidence HERE and especially ELSEWHERE?
Certainly there is no evidence HERE!!!!
And who are 'the 'quite a number of people'?

  5. Rest assured the Boyo Keho will be adjusting his habit and preening himself as he hosts Charlie B! Checking his belly band for signs of inflammation?

It's amazing how some people see a different Boyo from how others see him.

Could this be because there ARE two sides to him?

Could it be that Clonard is but a wee toy compared to ecclesiastical cerise?

  6. Let the people speak about this matter! Oh, they have spoken with their feet. Oh, go on, insult the people as well! You really are a hater to the Catholic Church! We pray for you though.

I do not have any problem with "the Church".

My problem is with the man made institution that is pretending to be the Church.

  7. "It's funny some people here are veering off subject. Of course some people do need their annual "fix"!

    Good for them...

But it was funny actually to see the Boyo dancing around big Charlie tonight.

    Sycophancy at its most sublime!

I could recommend a good movie about the French Court at the brink of the Revolution. Some amazing parallels......

A crowd gathered there daily too.

  8. Pat,
I just watched a recording of the youth Mass from Clonard.
Noel T was there with Charlie B in the sanctuary.
A 'collective back scratching' was in evidence.
So much for solidarity with Tony Flannery ?!
Very sad to watch grown men fawn around power.

    1. Evidence that the Reds are very short of man-power - and suffering from a severe ability deficit - that this Kehoe boyo is put in charge of Clonard!!

  9. can't believe what is wrote here. He is not like that. He is kind. every sunday he would meet my mummy and say hello to her. He knew her name and always joked with her. She loved coming to mass even though she was sick. She died 2 months ago and he sat in seat beside me coz he knew i am so sad. there are so many bad people out there. this is a good man who does good to others.

  10. "I agree with the last comment that the Reds are very very low on ability. They've lost the plot totally in recent years.

Boyo Kehoe is already one of the three person team who appoints Rectors! That's the laugh of it all. And the other two are his mates.

So, he really appointed himself then!

And of course the sheep always follow blindly. In thousands.

    Where else could it happen?
