MALE ESCORT EXPOSES 36 GAY PRIESTS IN FILE SENT TO VATICAN CONTAINING EXPLICIT WHATSAPP CHATS AND EROTIC PHOTOS
BY CHRISTINA ZHAO ON 3/5/18
A 1,200-page dossier containing the names of 34 "actively gay" priests and six seminarians in Italy has been sent to the Vatican by the archdiocese of Naples.
The allegations were compiled by Francesco Mangiacapra, a gay male escort who told local media he couldn’t put up with the priests’ "hypocrisy" any longer.
FRANCESCO MANGIACAPRA = MALE ESCORT |
"The aim is not to hurt the people mentioned, but to help them understand that their double life, however seemingly convenient, is not useful to them or to all the people for whom they should be a guide and an example to follow," Mangiacapra said, as reported by the Corriere della Sera.
Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, an Italian Cardinal and the current Archbishop of Naples, said in a statement that none of the priests who were named in the dossier were stationed in Naples. He claims he forwarded the document to the Vatican because “there remains the gravity of the cases for which those who have erred must pay the price, and be helped to repent for the harm done."
The large file contains explicit WhatsApp messages, erotic photos and other evidence, but none of the 40 priests and seminarians were accused of paedophilia or having sexual relations with minors. "We're talking about sins, not crimes," Mangiacapra said.
The dossier is the latest in a string of sex scandals that have rocked the Italian church and Vatican.
Last month, an Italian court issued a 14-month suspended sentence to a Vatican tribunal judge for sexual molestation and possessing child pornography.
CARDINAL SEPE OF NAPLES SENT REPORT TO VATICAN |
Monsignor Pietro Amenta, a judge on the Rota (a court that hears mostly family cases), was arrested last March for publicly fondling an 18-year-old man in Rome. Authorities then began an investigation where they discovered pornographic images of minors on his personal computer, according to the National Catholic Reporter.
One week after Amenta accepted the plea bargain, Paloma Garcia Ovejero, the vice director of the Vatican press office, announced in an email to Catholic News Servicethat Amenta had “resigned as prelate auditor of the Roman Rota.”

PAT SAYS:
Here we go again - another major story about promiscuous priests and seminarians at the very heart of the Roman Catholic Church.
It is now perfectly clear that this is a MASSIVE and a WORLDWIDE problem.
It is also clear that the CENTRAL PROBLEM in the Church is SEX in various forms - whether it is seminarians sleeping together in Maynooth or a Papal Nuncio abusing little boys in the Dominican Republic.
For so long now the Catholic Church has demonised ordinary men and women, lads and girls, for having perfectly natural and normal relations with each other - while the seminarians, priests, bishops, archbishops, cardinals - and plenty of popes have been up to everything inside and outside the bedroom.
The Catholic Church needs a whole new approach to Human Sexuality.
It probably needs to call THIRD VATICAN COUNCIL to concentrate completely on sexual matters.
And at that Council, they should be taking shed loads of advice from psychologists, biologists, etc.
They too have something to say to us under the guidance of the Holy Spirit!
Wouldn't trust a Roman Catholic priest as far as I could urinate.😆
ReplyDeleteWatch your teenage sons when these Christ betrayers are about.😆😆
Bit of a dribble is it these days with the old prostate Mags? I would watch my teenage sons with you about too.
DeleteI wouldn’t let anyone near you let alone a son or daughter you gobshite
DeleteMagna, must you be so awkward first thing in the morning. It's usually your first post that's the worst.
Delete12:54 - drink does that to you. In his case, the demon drink fuelling colossal arrogance and a monumental ego.
DeleteMagna, 05.35: Up too late and too much drinking. Offensive, ignorant, rude...frightening that you waste your brains commenting in such an infantile manner. You should go to AA or locate a good therapist. You are deeply damaged. I wouldn't trust you a moment.
Delete36 new bishops nominated so...
ReplyDeleteWell done Francesco. Real people real photos and a real problem uncovered. What will the Vatican do. I hope the media have the guts to push it. Perhaps in Ireland some people who get money for favours are too shy or afraid to come forward. It is something that needs to be done. I'm sure names can be confidential as long as the facts are accurate.
ReplyDeleteThe Anglican Church has had its fair share of abusers so piss off apostate Page
DeleteDear 11.33 You are so Kind. Your comment makes me feel discriminated against. Keep your urine to yourself. Discrimination is not acceptable in modern society. Have a nice day. Put your name to your comments if you have the balls to. Otherwise shut your gob-Live and let live.
Delete@sean 17.05
DeletePerfect reply Sean, well done buddy.
CR
Sean @ 17.05: Have you nothing more benificial and useful to do in your new religious home that you have so much time to post some stupid comments here. And, yes, if you open your eyes you'll discover there are lits of issues in the Anglican Church - and lots of scandals too, sexual and otherwise. So, your preaching to a Community of Faith you disavowed is not relevant.
Delete20.04 I am not preaching but commenting. Your suppositions appear to be based on stereotypes rather than the full picture but I presume you can only work with what you have which speaks for itself. Again come out from behind anonymity and show your true colours
DeleteI suspect that the fellow who constantly abuses Fr. Page is actually jealous of the beautiful possibilities awaiting him in the Anglo-Catholic branch of the church militant here in earth.
DeleteHigh Mass according to the English Missal; Mattins & Evensong according to the English Office Book; Baptism & Extreme Unction according to The English Ritual.
OMG, it’s as if the Reformation, nay, the Nightmare of Vatican II had never happened.
At least that’s one scenario awaiting Fr. Page. No wonder that fellow is so abusive.
20.59: Sean, just as I would not lecture/ preach at you in your New Anglican Way, so I don't accept your moralising judgments. Sharing of creative and imaginative ideas, yes - preaching, no.
DeletePat Your final comment in bold sums the issue up perfectly
ReplyDeleteIt was relying on psychologists that helped create the child abuse crisis. Need a return to discipline and law.
ReplyDeleteThe priest paedophile crisis was as much of a problem pre Vatican 11 as it was after.
DeleteThe only difference is that before it was not publicised and now it is.
A great part of the crisis is connected to the Church's beliefs and teachings on sex as a bad, sinful and secret thing.
Compulsory celibacy for all does not help either.
We need to deeply re-examine the whole area of human sexuality.
Anon@ 08:57.
DeleteI fail to understand the logic of this comment. Please can you kindly explain and develop your valued opinion.
MMM
08:57 would seem to be reminding us that it the past many paedophile clerics sent away for "treatment" were returned to their superiors with a clean bill of health.
DeleteIt would take a very ignorant and irresponsible psychiatrist or psychologist to say that paedophilia can be "cured".
DeleteI have never heard that been said by any of the psychological professionals that I work with - - certainly not in these more enlightened times. So I agree with you Pat that "cured" is not the way we see it. There are programmes of re-education which endeavour to give the paedophile an insight into the way he has potential to destroy lives and families. We look at ways to re-educate for employment away from young people (He will be on the Barred List for that - ) and we can introduce distraction hobbies eg art, reading , sport which will provide the person with other better ways to fill his time instead of searching the Internet etc. But that person CAN re-offend if not carefully and professionally managed and we are under absolutely no illusions. If there is alcohol or drug abuse, or he is faced with some stress at home or work, the danger of a relapse is enormously increased. No doubt about it... We know what extra intervention measures to put in place if that happens .
DeleteSorry Pat, but it's an inconvenient truth that abuse sky-rocketed after the Council and peaked in the 1980s. Even Dermo accepts that and he told Benedict that it was partly due to the failure to apply Canon Law. Judge Murphy came to the same conclusion in her report into abuse in Dublin.
DeleteWith Vatican II came moral relativism, a loss of the sense of sin, ill-discipline in seminaries, prebyteries and religious communities making the perfect conditions for abuse.
http://www.catholicworldreport.com/2012/07/10/canon-law-was-not-the-problem/
If you read the big catechism, the section on prayer is very sound but the section on sex is very bad. The church do not understand sex and for them it has been reduced to hidden fumblings. Teenagers are like that and it takes a few years before they realise that their hormones are better servants than masters. You just don't give in to them. I can no longer take the Pope or the church seriously as a moral guide. They don't seem to have the sense they were born with.
ReplyDeleteI
But Pat you are also a gay Priest - Is there not a double standard here in some of your posts ? Why do you never post about what the Oratory Society is doing to show an alternative to all you post about ?
ReplyDeleteWhy not post more about the pastoral work of the Oratory Society? Become , and show us the change you hope for .
Those of us at The Oratory are far from perfect and do not presume to hold ourselves up as models of anything.
DeleteWe are a small "cell" church like it was in the beginning and like it will be in the future.
It's not about perfection but authenticity.
Part of our authenticity I would suggest , if it is to speak to the lost children of
DeleteGod beyond the church walls , even if we would present ourselves as
a small cell , is not simply to point out what is wrong with others , but however
small we are to show despite all our faults an alternative - Because if
the small cell groups / churches do not where will the lost children of God
go ? Do we not need to also be telling them what alternative we offer to
the institutional church ? What pastoral efforts however small we can do
we offer them ? And feed them with our spirituality ? Because if we do
not do this the lost children of God will remain lost outside the city walls.
Ok.
DeleteWhat's different about The Oratory?
We are small and that makes us all friends. We all meet after Mass every Sunday for a chat and a laugh.
We do NOT refuse Communion to anyone.
We remarry divorcees and bless gay unions.
We are available to each other 24/7.
We believe that each member of the community speaks equally through the Holy Spirit.
We do not distinguish between Catholics or Protestants or any other religion.
We ordain men and women.
Just a few thoughts.
Let the criticism begin :-)
Ok Pat if we take that list on face value , and I am not going to say you do not do those things -My point to you is three fold
Deleteconcerning your efforts 1 - With the constant pointing out of what is
wrong with others are you not damaging this message , and undermining
the alternative you offer ? People know what goes on , and
what is wrong - It is why many are outside the city walls in the
sense of the church -Many are sick to death of the
church politics , divisions , and jurisdictional fights between each other -
They will just look at the sort of posts here and it will turn them away .
2 - Would it not be a more constructive mission to explain in love your position
without bashing others all the time , and make more widely known through a
blog like this what you offer people like the list you have given , and
let them know things like when mass is available , talk to them about
spirituality more , and prayer , because many people are spiritually hungry .
3 If you simply carry on with this R.C bashing people will stay away
from something that could potentially offer a real alternative . I would not
disagree that the cell church is the church we will return to , but is not
part of your mission a kind of prophetic witness to the church we will return to?
So you need to leave an example for other people , and generations after you ?
and again are you not undermining it , if not destroying it with this constant
attack on a church you left years ago ?
Catholics + Protestants = Scribes and Pharisees in mindset
DeleteThank you for your well laid out arguments.
DeleteWhen you want to rebuild a rotten building the first stage is demolition.
I often think of myself as part of the demolition team.
But you are right.
I should try to bring a spiritual element to the Blog and I will.
Thank you.
I wish you well.
DeletePat at 17.12: You think you're part of the demolition team. Maybe so, but what are you building apart from a monument to yourself in all its self righteousness...The renewal you promise is far, far away. How bright is the star of Larne Oratory after all these years? Isn't reconstructing a damn, difficult task, as those of us in real parishes know?
DeleteIt's a lot easier to knock something down than to painstakingly build it up, that's for sure...
DeletePat replied very well to the points I made and with respect .And so any responses should be with equal respect .
DeleteGotta say Pat Francisco Mangiacapra is a tasty looking guy. He has those sexy Italian looks. He has an uncanny resemblance to a chap I seen recently in London dining with a D&C priest.
ReplyDeleteYou seen him?
Delete"You saw him .."
DeleteOh, I say! Was it the missing Dean?
DeleteNo... it was more like the "missing link" I am sorry to say (if you know your very ancient history...)
DeleteEwe scene hymn.
DeleteI doubt the dick-peddler would’ve handed the dossier to the Vatican gratis. He’s also probably been blackmailing the silly queens for years.
ReplyDeleteI am all for exposing hypocrisy amongst the clergy, but not via the rent-a-rectum business.
There are nearly 45,000 Italian priests in Italy. Some of them are frauds. So what? It's not the end of the world, or the church.
ReplyDeleteForty-five thousand flamers.
DeleteHi Pat. Do you think Stephen Fry was right when in a 2009 debate about being for/against the Catholic Church, he said that the Catholic Church is obsessed with sex. It never stops thinking about it. He said that people who are non religious or other Christian faiths enjoy sex, feel it is natural, but because the Catholic clergy have to obey (I use the word obey in the loosest form) celibacy rules, then they suddenly become sexually repressed men and women, who then take a very dark turn. They have to experience their in built sexual desires, and because it has been repressed for so long, it comes out in very dark ways. Would you agree with Stephen's thinking?
ReplyDeleteI think that Stephen Fry has a point.
DeleteBut I do not like his extreme outbursts about God.
I don’t think we will take any lessons from the abnoxious Stephen Fry. Sure he ran off with a fella less than half his age. Total creep
DeleteStephen Fry is right; repressed sexuality can manifest itself in many guises, not just priests, but closet queens in general. The term ‘evil queen’ invariably applies to them.
DeleteAnother glaring manifestation among repressed gays, especially priests, is fastidiousness, e.g. all that fussing over vestments, etc. particularly the lace. “Oh, God, the lace, the lace.... “
@12:24
Delete"Ran off" implies others were dumped which I don't think is the case.
12:24, you meant, surely, that Stephen Fry and his partner (I hate the word 'husband' here. Sounds ridiculous.) fell in love with each other.
DeleteWhere is it written (no; your scribbled musings don't count.) that a person must love within chronological boundaries (or class boundaries, etc)?
You a friend of Fry’s then? Sometimes people who think they know it all know nothing
DeleteMagna at 15.11 why don’t you put a sock in it for once in your pitiful life. If I wanted your stupid opinion I wouldn’t have asked for it you ass and fool.
Delete15:54, I'd dearly love to put a sock somewhere. Guess where?😆
Delete17.02: Hopefully Magna that sock would be put to preferable good use by putting it into your own big mouth!!!Ha, ha, ha, you crazy, crazy fool.
DeleteI wonder what Stephen Fry, the poor man's Oscar Wilde, feels about the fact that dear Oscar joined the True Faith?
Delete20:43, yes, but only a month before he dropped off this mortal coil. Stephen has bags of timebto follow suit.😆
Delete12.24 Steven Fry has bipolar. He can say some very unwise things.
ReplyDeleteStephen Fry loathes the very concept of God, because it is a very loathsome concept...as presented by the churches in both their teaching and in the behaviour of their members, especially their ordained ministers. Fry's loathing here has nothing whatever to do with his bipolarity.
DeletePat have you seen the debate on YouTube Stephen and the late Christopher Hitchens did in 2009 about whether the Catholic Church is a force for good? If you have not, I suggest you watch it. He and Christopher were up against Ann Widdecombe and an archbishop. Here is the link for you - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZRcYaAYWg4
ReplyDeleteThat debate is well worth watching.
DeleteJohn King, have you not got the message that many of us are not interested in what Stephen Fry or indeed Dawkins has to say, so don’t keep boring us with it,
ReplyDeleteWhy aren't you interested? Are you afraid?😆
DeleteI don’t have to explain myself to a numpty idiot like you,
DeleteYour callous reply has shown me you are not a Christian. Jesus listened to everyone, did not turn anyone way. Why can not you act like Jesus, and listen to what others have to say. Even atheists, agnostics have a point now and again.
DeleteI wouldn't believe a word of that ex-rent boy Fry.
ReplyDeleteNor me... Why is it that when people have lost their own faith and spirituality they seem hellbent on making it their life's work to attack and try to undermine those who have faith?
DeleteYou see that happen time and time again. Sometimes the degree of the vitriol and venom is frightening and demonic.
'Frightening and demonic'??!! You could be describing, in part, the history of Catholic evangelisation.😆
DeleteAnon @ 19:04: I suspect there are those who, in your words, have 'lost their own faith' after a long process of disengagement, and now look back of their former position of faith as completely ill founded quasi superstitious belief as having been foisted on their impressionable youthful minds. Many will have grown up with such religious beliefs interwoven and embedded through parental, cultural and group influences. In a former less mobile parochial society it took considerable strength of character and courage to step outside the strictures of the cultural demands of quasi tribal religious allegiances.
DeleteThe present norms of freedom of belief and expression allows greater questioning of the objective basis for former faith beliefs. While indeed some non believers, like Dawkins, can be regularly and unnecessarily vitriolic, surely those with sincere faith beliefs have nothing to fear in engaging in sensible balanced and objective debate on religious belief issues?
Or have they?
MMM
That credit card thief Fry is godfather to Hugh Laurie's three children, despite Fry being an atheist. What's that all about? If the CofE had any backbone they'd tell him to jog on.
DeleteMournful Mike the athiest preaching again.
DeleteWhy did the Jesuit Curia Centre in Rome host Mary McAleese when the Vatican said no? Are they going against the Vatican ?
ReplyDelete+Pat, obviously, there's no hope for Italy with forty-five flamers at large. Can we, therefore, hope for a nice new scandal from Maynooth soon?
ReplyDeleteThe Vatican is owned and run by the Rc church.
ReplyDeleteRome is run by Rome, not the Catholics
Why do you seminarians or clergy keep on criticising mmm and Magna
ReplyDeleteDid yous have no education
You should criticise the post not the poster.
On any well run blog, rules are followed....but not here alas
“Did yous have no education” you certainly didn’t with your grammar.
DeleteThat is my Orish .its how I spake
DeleteIf the Catholic Church was to get rid of celabisy then maybe the press might have less to right about.
ReplyDeletePat I am reading your blog now with some times and you seem to take some sort of pleasure in exposing men who are in relationships, be they be straight or gay. Can I suggest that you write about yourself and what you have to say in a book you wrote, where you mentioned that you have shared a bed with males, sometimes many years younger than you. Is there a difference between what the priests were doing as reported in your latest posting and what you have said in the past what you have got up to. People in glass houses should not throw stones.
It has been known for centuries that the Vatican is "The Mother of Harlots" referred to by Christ in Revelation/Apocalypse chapter 17; which explains perfectly that it is that great CITY (Vatican CITY) that rules over the kings of the earth; that sits on 7 mountains (Rome), where the inhabitants wear SCARLET (cardinals) and PURPLE (bishops) decked with gold; precious stones and pearls and calls itself "Mother" church.
ReplyDeleteNothing of the sort has been “known for centuries” except in the feverish imaginations of antiCatholic bigots like you! Sling yer hook!
DeleteA travesty of an interpretation - where to begin is the question.
DeleteTwo points: the Book of Revelation is an apocalypse - not a prediction.
Jesus is a character in the B. of R. Any words placed on his lips there literary creations and have to be interpreted within the schema of an apocalypse.
I thought that "Dr" Ian Paisley was dead yet here he is posting away.
DeleteThis morning I saw Pat's friend Noel Treanor having a bacon bap in a garage on the Antrim Roadn
ReplyDeleteLiar
DeleteHe was probably filling up before a flight somewhere.
DeleteWe're you there, 02:38? I was, it was in the Maxol on the Antrim Rd.
DeleteNot against the Vatican - just the diehards.
ReplyDelete20.07 Have you seen Jordan Petersons YouTubes on the web
ReplyDeleteabout the bible? He is very interesting and very popular with the young. A great balance to Dawkins.
How are ye this evening girls?
ReplyDeleteOh dear! You're back again. And there was I thinking your recent absence indicated you'd taken previous advice and gone off to expand your vocabulary and learn a few more linguistic skills.
DeleteI'm wrong. ...Again!
On the town ... In Ollie's... Come and join us!
ReplyDeleteDid he expose all the married men, the Doctors, Lawyers, Educators etc? Did he expose any Protestant clergy? Just Catholic - Anti-Catholic then and you care Anti-Catholic also. Gay people are not well people and they need to leave the Church. But they keep staying, hiding and playing the shadow. Gay clerics are Anti-Catholic and cowards.
ReplyDelete06:23 Gay people need to leave the church? Really? And what about women? And Asians? And Africans? What’s your understanding if ‘church’?
ReplyDeleteAnti-Catholic? And cowards? That’s rich coming from a brave man/woman so courageous in your homophobic ranting that you have to hide behind a tag of anonymity?
The percentage of paedophiliac priests is very low. A much lower percentage than in the lay world but the Vatican pays a lot of money. Most pedophiles are married men but who is going to bring uncles before the court and most of the uncles would not pay much. Most pedophiles predators rule in the sport world but if the athlete wants to keep playing he better not denounce the coach and he might end up losing a lot of money.
ReplyDelete
