Thanks Pat.
ReplyDeleteDespite the sometimes serious nature of blogs and comments I have many a chuckle from them.
So keep up the good work and have a good Christmas and New Year
MMM
Yes, thank you Pat and the same to you

ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Christmas.
ReplyDeleteDid you get a Christmas Card from D&C this year?
ReplyDeleteNo :-)
DeletePat, the blog is unique & essential..the work that you put into it.. and the risks that you take are appreciated.. hope that you have a good Christmas & all the best for 2017.N.
ReplyDeleteEvery good wish + Pat... Love the card
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas Pat.
ReplyDeleteYou had the courage to shine a light on some dark places/people ominously present and doing great damage in the Irish Church. You also suffered the full fury of all the sociopathic, narcissistic, scheming "charming liars" (to use Pope Francis' term) running riot in Maynooth and the Irish Church.
God, however, has blessed you with broad shoulders as well as a big heart. You are battle-hardened at this stage Pat and well used to the malicious machinations of priests and bishops who have the brass neck to call themselves Christians.
May God bless you and yours this Christmas Pat. And may you have a most prosperous and fruitful New Year.
I did not publish the most vile comments.
DeleteThere are some very nasty creatures out there.
God knows what harm they are doing to people.
After 32 years of being their target I am immune from their attacks.
But their evil is still sometimes shocking - even to the battled hardened.
I might be a "Black Sheep" :-)
But these people are vicious wolves.
Some time ago, in the late 1970s, you and I, in Long Kesh to say Mass, were placed in a Portocabin due to a riot taking place.
DeleteWe were there for over one hour.
I found you pleasant and and easy to get on with.
I am now retired and practically helpless.
I cannot agree with a lot of the things that you say and do.
I do agree that there is a lot of weird stuff going on and that a lot is serious clean ups must take place.
I resent the many strange bloggers who follow you who imply that all priests are corrupt.
Most of us have worked hard and done our very best.
I have had disagreements with my bishop -,and for most of my life I have stayed clear of him and his predecessors.'My confrontations were resolved without rancour. I am sorry that you felt you had to follow a different path.
Nevertheless, I ask for God's blessing on you and wish you a holy and happy Christmas
Christmas Blessings and season's greetings to one and all from Sean and Clarice
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and a happy new year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas Pat!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your good work in 2016 Bishop Pat. Have a peaceful Christmas, and every blessing for both the Christmastide and 2017.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you.
CR.
Hope you have a great Christmas Pat and a fruitful and enjoyable 2017. Thank you for making 2016 so interesting !!God bless you and yours
ReplyDelete+Bishop Pat, I wish you every blessing and strength over the Christmas season and 2017.
ReplyDeleteYou have been a bulwark and rampart indeed for the honest and genuine victims against the dark forces at work in Maynooth and the Irish Presbyterate. You reminded me at some stages of a lone B-52 aircraft bomber on a mission over enemy territory taking endless flak and suffering assault after assault. You kept going Pat and didn't let the liars and bullies deter you.
It's time to recharge the batteries now and enjoy your well deserved break:)
:-) My surname does begin with B and I was born in 52 :-)
DeleteOf course I was also born under the Taurus sign and the Buckley cost of arms contains three bulls.
You raise an interesting and amusing topic :-)
Cannot get anything through today
DeleteThank you Pat for keeping me sane during this past year
ReplyDeleteI hope you have had a lovely Christmas, as I have had.
Happy Boxing Day
Xxxx
Happy holiday Sean and Clarice, hope you both continue to enjoy life.
ReplyDeleteLove your posts too

Pat, can you please do a post on your oratory? It sounds like a beautiful place and I'd love to come but I don't know what the mass times are, where it is, who celebrates mass etc. I know you're a very busy man but I'm certain I'm not the only one who would love to find out more about the oratory :)
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Ryan
Merry Christmas
